• Using Struts with SpringSource dm server gives Http Status 503 error

  Hi, I developed an enterprise application using spring, struts and hibernate, now I want to transfer it to work with OSGi dm server. I found a book "Pro SpringSource dm server" where the author has explained a way to migrate WAR to OSGi bundles. I successfully migrated the application given in book. The first step of migration says that remove the lib folder in WEB-INF directory and import all the relevant packages. I did the same. Application has been successfully deployed in the dm server. But when I tried to connect to URL it is giving me the error: SpringSource dm Server - Error report HTTP Status 503 - Servlet action is currently unavailable type: Status report message: Servlet action is currently unavailable description: The requested service (Servlet action is currently unavailable) is not currently available. What could be the reason for this? I am out of clues to solve this issue. Can you pass any help you may have. Thanks in anvance.

• How to get rid of Google's language detection permanently?

  Using Chrome 15 on Windows (all tho' I've learned it doesn't matter what browser you use), when using a Google product it automatically either translates or redirects to my native language. If I go google.com, I excpect to get the English version of it - that does not happen, instead I have to click on the bottom of the page on the link "Go to Google MyLanguage" and it still does the same thing after closing and opening the browser. Hence my question, how to disable (get rid of, for good) Google's language detection? Maybe there's a work-around?

  Hi All, I am using CFNetwork to connect to a https webservice , whose server is a Verisign certified. I get the appropriate response from the server some times. But the rest of the time I am getting two kind of errors. 1."Operation could not be completed. (kCFStreamErrorDomainSSL error -9807.) 2."Operation could not be completed.   I have written an iPhone and iPad universal app which runs fine in the iPad simulator on Xcode, but I would now like to test the iPhone functionality. I seem unable to run the iPhone simulator with this code as it always defaults to the iPad? Instead I tried to run on the device and as it begins to run I get the following error: dyld: Symbol not found: _OBJC_CLASS_$_UISplitViewController Referenced from: /var/mobile/Applications/9770ACFA-0B88-41D4-AF56-77B66B324640/Test.app/Test Expected in: /System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework/UIKit in /var/mobile/Applications/9770ACFA-0B88-41D4-AF56-77B66B324640/Test.app/TEST As the App is built programmatically rather than using XIB's, I've split the 2 device logics using the following lines in the main.m method: if (UI_USER_INTERFACE_IDIOM() == UIUserInterfaceIdiomPad) { retVal = UIApplicationMain(argc, argv, nil, @"AppDelegate_Pad"); } else { retVal = UIApplicationMain(argc, argv, nil, @"AppDelegate_Phone"); } From that point forth they use different AppDelegates and I've checked my headers to ensure the UISplitView is never used nor imported via the Phone logic. How do I avoid this error and is there a better way to split the universal logic paths in this programmatically-created app?

• Bourne Script: Redirect success messages but NOT error messages

  This command: keytool -import -file "$serverPath/$serverCer" -alias "$clientTrustedCerAlias" -keystore "$clientPath/$clientKeystore" -storepass "$serverPassword" -noprompt Will when it runs successfully outputs: Certificate was added to keystore I tried redirecting the stdard out with: keytool ... > /dev/null But it is still printing. It appears that the message is being output into standard error. Since when I do this it is not displayed: keytool ... > /dev/null 2>&1 However this is not what I am wanting to do. I would like error messages to be output normally but I do not want "success" messages to be output to the command line. Any ideas? Whatever happened to unix convention: "If it works do not output anything".

• ASP.NET Session State Error only on default document

  I have a site where when accessing via site.com/default.aspx everything is fine, however when accessing via site.com/ I get a session error as follows: "Session state can only be used when enableSessionState is set to true, either in a configuration file or in the Page directive. Please also make sure that System.Web.SessionStateModule or a custom session state module is included in the \\ section in the application configuration." I have confirmed that default.aspx is the highest priority default document and that it is the page being loaded. However why is this session error only occurring when accessing via the default document? The server is 2008 R2 and IIS 7.5.

  With methods test1() and test2(), I get a Type Mismatch Error: Cannot convert from null to int, which is correct; but why am I not getting the same in method test3()? How does Java evaluates the conditional expression differently in that case? (obviusly, a NullPointerException will rise in runtime). The context cannot be used while the model is being created.   Greetings, My asp.net mvc application calls WCF service. Everything is ok on my localhost (WinXP, IIS6). When I moved on production server where Win2008 Server and IIS7 are used my application gets authorization error while connecting to WCF service. ASP.NET MVC works ok but when it calls some methods on my WCF Service an error is thrown. The funny thing is that when I calls the same WCF Production service from the same ASP.NET MVC application hosted on my localhost it works ok. Can someone please help me with this. I think it's authorization problem which can be fixed on IIS7. Am I right?

  I have some data that I am trying to plot faceted by its Type with a smooth (Loess, LM, whatever) superimposed. Generation code is below: testFrame <- data.frame(Time=sample(20:60,50,replace=T),Dollars=round(runif(50,0,6)),Type=sample(c("First","Second","Third","Fourth"),50,replace=T,prob=c(.33,.01,.33,.33))) I have no problem either making a faceted plot, or plotting the smooth, but I cannnot do both. The first three lines of code below work fine. The fourth line is where I have trouble: qplot(Time,Dollars,data=testFrame,colour=Type) qplot(Time,Dollars,data=testFrame,colour=Type) + geom_smooth() qplot(Time,Dollars,data=testFrame) + facet_wrap(~Type) qplot(Time,Dollars,data=testFrame) + facet_wrap(~Type) + geom_smooth() It gives the following error: Error in [<-.data.frame(*tmp*, var, value = list(NA = NULL)) : missing values are not allowed in subscripted assignments of data frames What am I missing to overlay a smooth in a faceted plot? I could have sworn I had done this before, possibly even with the same data.

  I'm running Snow Leopard and using PDF2SWF via MacPorts. I tried this out using a simple PDF I made from text and it worked fine so I have a feeling this is a problem with my PDF.   Hi, I am getting this error in my terminal when i execute the command above, Deans-MacBook:depot dean$ rake db:create RAILS_ENV='development' (in /Users/dean/src/RailsBook/depot) Couldn't create database for {"username"=>"root", "adapter"=>"mysql", "database"=>"depot_development", "host"=>"localhost", "password"=>nil}, charset: utf8, collation: utf8_unicode_ci (if you set the charset manually, make sure you have a matching collation) In database config file i have the following: development: adapter: mysql database: depot_development username: root password: host: localhost I have the mysql gem installed and now i am unsure on what to do next. I am running snow leopard on a Macbook. Does anyone know why this error is happening? Thanks in Advance Dean

• "Forked Java VM exited abnormally" error from junit tests

  I have a java junit test that passes when run alone on a development machine. We also have a hudson job which runs all the tests, invoked via ant, on a Mac OS X 10.4 node with Java 1.5. The test was passing in the hudson build until recently but now (with no related code changes) one test fails everytime with the following error: Error Message Forked Java VM exited abnormally. Please note the time in the report does not reflect the time until the VM exit. Stacktrace junit.framework.AssertionFailedError: Forked Java VM exited abnormally. Please note the time in the report does not reflect the time until the VM exit. googling shows many others seem to have run into the same problem but there I couldn't find any answer.

• Integer in MySQL procedure, syntax error

  I made simple procedure just to demonstrate CREATE PROCEDURE `demo`(demo_int int) BEGIN DECLARE minid INT; SELECT min(id) FROM (SELECT id FROM events LIMIT demo_int,9999999999999999) as hoo INTO minid; END$$ The problem is with demo_int, if i change it to LIMIT 1,9999999999999999 it works but LIMIT demo_int,9999999999999999 Does not... It gives error You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'demo_int,9999999999999999) as hoo INTO minid; END' at line 4 (errno: 1064) Any clues?
