  • Complex Rails queries across multiple tables, unions, and will_paginate. Solved.

    - by uberllama
Hi folks. I've been working on a complex "user feed" type of functionality for a while now, and after experimenting with various union plugins, hacking named scopes, and brute force, have arrived at a solution I'm happy with. S.O. has been hugely helpful for me, so I thought I'd post it here in hopes that it might help others and also to get feedback -- it's very possible that I worked on this so long that I walked down an unnecessarily complicated road. For the sake of my example, I'll use users, groups, and articles. A user can follow other users to get a feed of their articles. They can also join groups and get a feed of articles that have been added to those groups. What I needed was a combined, pageable feed of distinct articles from a user's contacts and groups. Let's begin. user.rb has_many :articles has_many :contacts has_many :contacted_users, :through => :contacts has_many :memberships has_many :groups, :through => :memberships contact.rb belongs_to :user belongs_to :contacted_user, :class_name => "User", :foreign_key => "contacted_user_id" article.rb belongs_to :user has_many :submissions has_many :groups, :through => :submissions group.rb has_many :memberships has_many :users, :through => :memberships has_many :submissions has_many :articles, :through => :submissions Those are the basic models that define my relationships. Now, I add two named scopes to the Article model so that I can get separate feeds of both contact articles and group articles should I desire. article.rb # Get all articles by user's contacts named_scope :by_contacts, lambda {|user| {:joins => "inner join contacts on articles.user_id = contacts.contacted_user_id", :conditions => ["articles.published = 1 and contacts.user_id = ?", user.id]} } # Get all articles in user's groups. This does an additional query to get the user's group IDs, then uses those in an IN clause named_scope :by_groups, lambda {|user| {:select => "DISTINCT articles.*", :joins => :submissions, :conditions => {:submissions => {:group_id => user.group_ids}}} } Now I have to create a method that will provide a UNION of these two feeds into one. Since I'm using Rails 2.3.5, I have to use the construct_finder_sql method to render a scope into its base sql. In Rails 3.0, I could use the to_sql method. user.rb def feed "(#{Article.by_groups(self).send(:construct_finder_sql,{})}) UNION (#{Article.by_contacts(self).send(:construct_finder_sql,{})})" end And finally, I can now call this method and paginate it from my controller using will_paginate's paginate_by_sql method. HomeController.rb @articles = Article.paginate_by_sql(current_user.feed, :page => 1) And we're done! It may seem simple now, but it was a lot of work getting there. Feedback is always appreciated. In particular, it would be great to get away from some of the raw sql hacking. Cheers.

  • Jquery .hide problem

    - by Sergio
    I'm using jquery to show animated MSN like window at the bottom of the page. Jquery code: $(document).ready(function() { $(" .inner").stop().animate({height:'142px'},{queue:false, duration:600}); $(' .close').click(function(event) { $(' .inner').hide(); }); $(' .inner').click(function() { location.replace("somepage.php"); }); }); The CSS: .close {height:14px; z-index:100; position: absolute; margin-left:174px; margin-top:12px; border:1px solid #F00;} .inner {position:absolute;bottom:0;width:201px;height:117px;right: 0; margin-right:10px; float:left; z-index:-1; display:block; cursor:pointer;} The problem that I have with this code is that the close button (showing at the right top corner of .inner DIV) can't fire Jquery .hide function. Why?

  • Dynamic Linq Property Converting to Sql

    - by Matthew Hood
I am trying to understand dynamic linq and expression trees. Very basically trying to do an equals supplying the column and value as strings. Here is what I have so far private IQueryable<tblTest> filterTest(string column, string value) { TestDataContext db = new TestDataContext(); // The IQueryable data to query. IQueryable<tblTest> queryableData = db.tblTests.AsQueryable(); // Compose the expression tree that represents the parameter to the predicate. ParameterExpression pe = Expression.Parameter(typeof(tblTest), "item"); Expression left = Expression.Property(pe, column); Expression right = Expression.Constant(value); Expression e1 = Expression.Equal(left, right); MethodCallExpression whereCallExpression = Expression.Call( typeof(Queryable), "Where", new Type[] { queryableData.ElementType }, queryableData.Expression, Expression.Lambda<Func<tblTest, bool>>(e1, new ParameterExpression[] { pe })); // Create an executable query from the expression tree. IQueryable<tblTest> results = queryableData.Provider.CreateQuery<tblTest>(whereCallExpression); return results; } That works fine for columns in the DB. But fails for properties in my code eg public partial class tblTest { public string name_test { get { return name; } } } Giving an error cannot be that it cannot be converted into SQL. I have tried rewriting the property as a Expression<Func but with no luck, how can I convert simple properties so they can be used with linq in this dynamic way? Many Thanks

  • Conflict between two Javascripts (MailChimp validation etc. scripts & jQuery hSlides.js)

    - by Brian
I have two scripts running on the same page, one is the jQuery.hSlides.js script http://www.jesuscarrera.info/demos/hslides/ and the other is a custom script that is used for MailChimp list signup integration. The hSlides panel can be seen in effect here: http://theatricalbellydance.com. I've turned off the MailChimp script because it was conflicting with the hSlides script, causing it not to to fail completely (as seen here http://theatricalbellydance.com/home2/). Can someone tell me what could be done to the hSlides script to stop the conflict with the MailChimp script? The MailChimp Script var fnames = new Array(); var ftypes = new Array(); fnames[0] = 'EMAIL'; ftypes[0] = 'email'; fnames[3] = 'MMERGE3'; ftypes[3] = 'text'; fnames[1] = 'FNAME'; ftypes[1] = 'text'; fnames[2] = 'LNAME'; • Wordpress "Vote It Up" plugin help

    - by Sparks Memphis
I'm creating a dig like site with wordpress, TDO Mini forms and Vote it up where people who live in the city can log on, post their ideas of how to improve the city and have others vote. on the home page there are 2 columns. right is the TDO submit form. left are the "Most Wanted" items. the posts with the highest rating. I've found an impressive lack of information on this plugin. im not great with php but i can make do most of the time. I want to output the post title, post author, links for yes and no votes as well as have the titles in the left column list in most popular order. preferably id like the home pages to have only the top 5 or so highest rated posts. I cant find any way to output that information as i need. I was really hoping there was a simple way to call the highest rated post titles in the loop for the main page but there doesnt seem to be a way. Bout the only thing i've found is the DisplayVotes tag which isnt incredibly helpful. does anybody know how i can accomplish this, or can provide some expert advise? help would be immensely appreciated.

  • Windows Forms: Unable to Click to Focus a MaskedTextBox in a Non TopLevel Form

    - by Overhed
Like the title says, I've got a Child form being shown with it's TopLevel property set to False and I am unable to click a MaskedTextBox control that it contains (in order to bring focus to it). I can bring focus to it by using TAB on the keyboard though. The child form contains other regular TextBox controls and these I can click to focus with no problems, although they also exhibit some odd behavior: for example if I've got a value in the Textbox and I try to drag-click from the end of the string to the beginning, nothing happens. In fact I can't use my mouse to move the cursor inside the TextBox's text at all (although they keyboard arrow keys work). I'm not too worried about the odd TextBox behavior, but why can't I activate my MaskedTextBox by clicking on it? Below is the code that shows the form: Dim newReportForm As New Form Dim formName As String Dim FullTypeName As String Dim FormInstanceType As Type formName = TreeView1.SelectedNode.Name FullTypeName = Application.ProductName & "." & formName FormInstanceType = Type.GetType(FullTypeName, True, True) newReportForm = CType(Activator.CreateInstance(FormInstanceType), Form) Try newReportForm.Top = CType(SplitContainer1.Panel2.Controls(0), Form).Top + 25 newReportForm.Left = CType(SplitContainer1.Panel2.Controls(0), Form).Left + 25 Catch End Try newReportForm.TopLevel = False newReportForm.Parent = SplitContainer1.Panel2 newReportForm.BringToFront() newReportForm.Show()

  • SQL Server 2005: reclaiming LOB space

    - by AndrewD
Hello all, I've got an interesting table in one of my DBs that's confusing me. The table in question has a a few LOB type columns (two nvarchar(max) and a text) and it looks like there's some strange space issues going on. from this query: SELECT type_desc, SUM(total_pages) *8 [Size in kb] FROM sys.partitions p JOIN sys.allocation_units a ON p.partition_id = a.container_id WHERE p.object_id = OBJECT_ID('asyncoperationbase') GROUP BY type_desc; I get: type_desc Size in kb IN_ROW_DATA 27936 LOB_DATA 1198144 ROW_OVERFLOW_DATA 0 (there's just under 8000 rows in the table, each row has a data length of ~10k - not counting the LOB data) here's where it gets somewhat interesting: SELECT ( SUM(DATALENGTH(aob.WorkflowState)) + SUM(DATALENGTH(aob.[Message]))+ SUM(DATALENGTH(aob.[Data])) ) / 1024 FROM AsyncOperationBase aob returns: 76617 As I'm reading it - it looks like the ~75mb of LOB data is using over a gig of space to be stored - I would expect some overhead but not quit that much. Thanks, Andrew

  • iPhone - ModalViewController not raising to top of the screen

    - by Oliver
Hello, I have a UIImagePickerController that is shown [self presentModalViewController:self.picker animated:NO]; Then later on the code, I allow the user to display a preference panel : PreferencesController *nextWindow = [[[PreferencesController alloc] initWithNibName:@"Preferences" bundle:nil] autorelease]; UINavigationController* navController = [[[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:nextWindow] autorelease]; [self presentModalViewController:navController animated:YES]; At this point, the new controller raises on the screen, but don't go to the top. Some space is left "transparent" at the top (I can see the camera view behind), and the bottom of the view is hidden out of the screen. The space I am talking about is about a status bar height. The status bar is not present on the screen. The navigation controller is hidden : self.navigationController.navigationBarHidden = YES; There is a toolbar at the top of the view. Nothing special into the view. The height of the view is defined at 480. All simulated element are set off in IB. The autoresize properties are all set on. I had a previous xib (I rebuilt it from scratch) that worked very well. I don't see what I missed on this one (I have only changed the xib, that replaces the previous one). I've cleaned the cache to be sure there was nothing left. No change... I've deleted everything in the new view to prevent some conflicts. No change... What did I miss ? How could I remove this empty space ?

What is the data inputted into DSA when PGP signs a message? From RFC4880, i found A Signature packet describes a binding between some public key and some data. The most common signatures are a signature of a file or a block of text, and a signature that is a certification of a User ID. im not sure if it is the entire public key, just the public key packet, or some other derivative of a pgp key packet. whatever it is, i cannot get the DSA signature to verify here is a sample im testing my program on: -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 abcd -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: BCPG v1.39 iFkEARECABkFAk0z65ESHGFiYyAodGVzdCBrZXkpIDw+AAoJEC3Jkh8+bnkusO0A oKG+HPF2Qrsth2zS9pK+eSCBSypOAKDBgC2Z0vf2EgLiiNMk8Bxpq68NkQ== =gq0e -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Dumped from pgpdump.net Old: Signature Packet(tag 2)(89 bytes) Ver 4 - new Sig type - Signature of a canonical text document(0x01). • Dojox Datagrid contains data, but shows up as empty

    - by Vivek
I'd really appreciate any help on this. There is this Dojox Datagrid that I'm creating programatically and supplying JSON data. As of now, I'm creating this data within JavaScript itself. Please refer to the below code sample. var upgradeStageStructure =[{ cells:[ { field: "stage", name: "Stage", width: "50%", styles: 'text-align: left;' }, { field:"status", name: "Status", width: "50%", styles: 'text-align: left;' } ] }]; var upgradeStageData = [ {id:1, stage: "Preparation", status: "Complete"}, {id:2, stage: "Formatting", status: "Complete"}, {id:3, stage: "OS Installation", status: "Complete"}, {id:4, stage: "OS Post-Installation", status: "In Progress"}, {id:5, stage: "Application Installation", status: "Not Started"}, {id:6, stage: "Application Post-Installation", status: "Not Started"} ]; var stagestore = new dojo.data.ItemFileReadStore({data:{identifier:"id", items: upgradeStageData}}); var upgradeStatusGrid = new dojox.grid.DataGrid({ autoHeight: true, style: "width:400px;padding:0em;margin:0em;", store: stagestore, clientSort: false, rowSelector: '20px', structure: upgradeStageStructure, columnReordering: false, selectable: false, singleClickEdit: false, selectionMode: 'none', loadingMessage: 'Loading Upgrade Stages', noDataMessage:'There is no data', errorMessage: 'Failed to load Upgrade Status' }); dojo.byId('progressIndicator').innerHTML=''; dojo.byId('progressIndicator').appendChild(upgradeStatusGrid.domNode); upgradeStatusGrid.startup(); The problem is that I am not seeing anything within the grid upon display (no headers, no data). But I know for sure that the data in the grid does exist and the grid is properly initialized, because I called alert (grid.domNode.innerHTML);. The resultant HTML that is thrown up does show a table containing header rows and the above data. This link contains an image which illustrates what I'm seeing when I display the page. (Can't post images since my account is new here) As you may notice, there are 6 rows for 6 pieces of data I have created but the grid is a mess. Please help out if you think you know what could be going wrong. Thanks in advance, Viv

  • Use of clone() and appendTo() with draggable - unexpected results with dragging

    - by Matt Gutting
I'm constructing a UI for a doctor scheduling app. We have several doctors, each of whom can go in one of several locations on a scheduled day (M - F). I have the main day/location grid (table) in the center of the screen. At the left is a table for the doctor names. On loading, each table cell contains a span (outlined) with the doctor name. The doctor name can go in one slot for each day. I didn't want to just put 5 copies of the doctor name, because the doctor might not be available all 5 days of the week. The idea was: Drag the span and drop into the calendar table. On the drag "start" event, clone the span and append it to the table cell. Now there is another span ready to be dropped into the calendar table. One line of code does the work: $(ui.helper).clone(true).prependTo(ui.helper.parent()); This works. But when I move the cloned span, the original one moves in sync - preserving the spatial relationships as I move the clone around (no doubt there's a "position:relative;left=XX;top=YY" inserted somewhere). I'm sure there's a way to do what I'm thinking of, while keeping the two spans independent. But I'm not thinking of one. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks! Matt I posted this identical question to the jQuery forum as well.

  • Changing CSS height property removes anchors?

    - by JMan
I am working on a standard header/navigation for my website. I started with having a CSS "height" value of 100% for the html, body elements but this resulted in the wrong layout. However, when I change the CSS height property from "100%" to "auto", the layout is correct, but I lose the anchors in the navigation. Why is this? Here's my CSS: html, body { height: auto; /* This is the only property that I'm toggling */ margin: 0; } body { margin: 0; min-width: 978px; font: 12px/16px Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000; background: #000001 url('../images/bg-body.jpg') no-repeat 50% 0; } #nav { position: relative; float: left; margin: 0; padding: 0 2px 0 271px; list-style: none; background: url('../images/sep-nav.gif') no-repeat 100% 0; } #nav li { float: left; padding: 11px 0 0 2px; height: 35px; width: 128px; line-height: 22px; font-size: 18px; text-align: center; background: url('../images/sep-nav.gif') no-repeat 0 -1px; display: inline; } #nav li a {color: #FFFEFE;} ..... I compared the computed CSS in Firebug when the html, body height property was set to "auto" vs. "100%" and they were the same. Can somebody please shed some light on how retain the anchors in the navigation while setting height to "auto"? Thanks for your help.

  • Ignoring a model with all blank fields in Ruby on Rails

    - by aguynamedloren
I am trying to create multiple items (each with a name value and a content value) in a single form. The code I have is functioning, but I cannot figure out how to ignore items that are blank. Here's the code: #item.rb class Item < ActiveRecord::Base attr_accessible :name, :content validates_presence_of :name, :content end #items_controller.rb class ItemsController < ApplicationController def new @items = Array.new(3){ Item.new } end def create @items = params[:items].values.collect{|item|Item.new(item)} if @items.each(&:save!) flash[:notice] = "Successfully created item." redirect_to root_url else render :action => 'new' end end #new.html.erb <% form_tag :action => 'create' do %> <%@items.each_with_index do |item, index| %> <% fields_for "items[#{index}]", item do |f| %> <p> Name: <%= f.text_field :name %> Content: <%= f.text_field :content %> </p> <% end %> <% end %> <%= submit_tag %> <% end %> This code works when all fields for all items are filled out in the form, but fails if any fields are left blank (due to validations). The goal is that 1 or 2 items could be saved, even if others are left blank. I'm sure there is a simple solution to this, but I've been tinkering for hours with no avail. Any help is appreciated!

  • Horizontally and Vertically Center Modal Div IE Issue

    - by aherrick
    I'm trying to horizontally and vertically center a modal window inside a div. I want it to be cross browser compatible. You can see from the picture below that when I resize IE8 then click, "show modal" button it displays not exactly horizontally centered. This does not seem to be an issue with Chrome. Any thoughts? How would you guys accomplish this? <html> <head> <title>test</title> <style type="text/css"> * { margin: 0px; padding: 0px; } </style> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { $('#modal').click(function() { // overlay $('<div id="overlay" />').css({ position: 'absolute', top: 0, left: 0, width: '100%', height: '100%', backgroundColor: 'black', opacity: 0 }).appendTo('body'); $('<div id="datamodal" />').css({ backgroundColor: '#FFFFFF', border: '10px solid #999', height: '200px', width: '600px', position: 'absolute', top: '50%', left: '50%', marginTop: '-120px', marginLeft: '-320px', color: '#111111', fontWeight: 'bold', padding: '10px', display: 'none' }).append('<input type="text" />').appendTo('#overlay'); $('#overlay').fadeTo(300, 0.7); $('#datamodal').fadeIn(300); }); }); </script> </head> <body> <input id="modal" type="button" value="show modal" /> </body> </html>

  • Display a input type=file over another input type=file

    - by Kevin Sedgley
WARNING: Lengthy description coming up! I have written an uploader based upon APC progress uploader for PHP. This works fine and dandy, but the script as a whole (apc etc) is intended to be used only for those with Javascript. To achieve this, I have searched for any input type=file, and replaced these with an absolutely positioned form that appears over the original area where the old file input area was. The reasons for this are so the new uploader can submit to a hidden in page IFrame has to be in a seperate <form> in order to submit to the APC reciever to display the progress upload bar. allows it to be used within any form with an input type=file throughout the site I have used JQuery to do this, with the following code: Original HTML form code: <div><input type="file" name="media" id="media" /></div> Find position of div block code: // get the parent div, and properties thereof parentDiv = $(this).closest('div'); w = $(parentDiv).width(); h = $(parentDiv).height(); loc = $(parentDiv).offset(); Locate new block over old block: $('#_sender').appendTo('body').css({left:loc.left,top:loc.top,position:'absolute',zIndex:400,height:h,width:w}).show(); This works fine, and shows over the old block OK. The problem: When other elements in the DOM before or above it change (in this case a "tree view" selector is pushing the old block down) the new upload form gets moved over other elements. Is there a JQuery (or JS) method for changing this upon DOM change? Some kind of .onchange for the page?! Or an .onmove for the original block? Thanks in advance you lovely people Before DOM change: . After: .

  • How to scan convert right edges and slopes less than one?

    - by Zachary
I'm writing a program which will use scan conversion on triangles to fill in the pixels contained within the triangle. One thing that has me confused is how to determine the x increment for the right edge of the triangle, or for slopes less than or equal to one. Here is the code I have to handle left edges with a slope greater than one (obtained from Computer Graphics: Principles and Practice second edition): for(y=ymin;y<=ymax;y++) { edge.increment+=edge.numerator; if(edge.increment>edge.denominator) { edge.x++; edge.increment -= edge.denominator; } } The numerator is set from (xMax-xMin), and the denominator is set from (yMax-yMin)...which makes sense as it represents the slope of the line. As you move up the scan lines (represented by the y values). X is incremented by 1/(denomniator/numerator) ...which results in x having a whole part and a fractional part. If the fractional part is greater than one, then the x value has to be incremented by 1 (as shown in edge.incrementedge.denominator). This works fine for any left handed lines with a slope greater than one, but I'm having trouble generalizing it for any edge, and google-ing has proved fruitless. Does anyone know the algorithm for that?

  • Not indent the first paragraph of a LaTeX document

    - by Andrew
In the standard LaTeX article class (and probably others as well), paragraph indentation follows standard American publishing norms of not indenting the first paragraph after a section{} or subsection{}. I've redefined \maketitle in a LaTeX document and put the actual title left-aligned as the last line, fairly close to the actual text (kind of like this) Author Date Title Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Since the title is left-aligned and so close to the text, I'd like the first paragraph of the document to not be indented, just like with the headings ... Duis aute irure dolor... ... I've attempted to use @afterindentfalse, which is what the section commands use, inside my renewed commands, but it doesn't work. \makeatletter \def\noindentation{\let\@afterindentfalse} \newcommand{\mytitle}[1]{% \vskip 2em {\bf\sffamily\LARGE #1} \noindentation} \renewcommand{\@maketitle}{ \begin{flushleft}{ % Author \@author \par % Date \@date \par % Title \mytitle{\@title} } \end{flushleft} } \makeatother By default the first paragraph in the article class is indented, so this question is applicable whether or not I renew \maketitle. So, what's the best way to automatically not indent the first paragraph of the document? Thanks!

  • How to Read some of the properties of the ItemSource when Laying out the Children?

    - by user275561
Assume that I have the ItemSource bound and i am getting the data. Now what I want is this. The ItemSource will contain Data that tells where each button should be. For Example: The first Button could be at Left:200,Top:0, the Second could be Left:50 Top:20. </ItemsControl.Resources> <ItemsControl.ItemsPanel> <ItemsPanelTemplate> <Controls:MatrixCanvas /> </ItemsPanelTemplate> </ItemsControl.ItemsPanel> <ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <item:CustomButton Height="{Binding btnSize}" Width="{Binding btnSize}" Style="{Binding bbColor,Converter={StaticResource ButtonStyleConverter}}" /> </DataTemplate> </ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> </ItemsControl> protected override Size ArrangeOverride(Size finalSize) { foreach (var child in Children) { //The child } return base.ArrangeOverride(finalSize); } The Child however is not giving me access to the Item that I want. Is their a good solution for this? Am I going about this the wrong way? The reason I am doing it like this is because their can be buttons added dynamically, removed, some buttons will need to move around etc..

  • "EISA Configuration" partition

    - by jpbochi
I have a new Alienware M17x running Vista x64. I just found out that it came with a misterious "EISA Configuration" partition. On Disk Management, my Disk 0 tells me that my HD has about 300 GB. The EISA partition has 12 GB. That's big enough to know why is it there. So, this is more of a bundle question. What is this "EISA Configuration" partition? Is it safe to remove it somehow? If so, how can I delete it? I mean join it with the primary partition, or set it as a secondary small partition.

  • Setting up VM server access via host MacBook Pro's WiFi hotspot

    - by user7609
I have a virtual machine (VM) hosted on a MacBook Pro (MBP). There is a server installed on the VM. I'm trying to make this server accessible via MBP's WiFi hotspot so I can see it from my iPhone when connected to the hotspot. The VM is Parallels (latest version) and its OS is Win7 and the MBP is 2013 with Mavericks. With default settings and no hotspot enabled I can access the VM's server from the host OSX. The network setting on the VM is "Shared" and it's IP is 10.211.x.x. When I join the hotspot from another laptop the other laptop gets an IP 169.254.x.x and it can't ping 10.211.x.x or access the server on that VM Is there a combination of settings on the VM and MBP's hotspot such that I can access the VM server from a client on the MPB's hotspot?

  • How to generate the right password format for Apache2 authentication in use with DBD and MySQL 5.1?

    - by Walkman
I want to authenticate users for a folder from a MySQL 5.1 database with AuthType Basic. The passwords are stored in plain text (they are not really passwords, so doesn't matter). The password format for apache however only allows for SHA1, MD5 on Linux systems as described here. How could I generate the right format with an SQL query ? Seems like apache format is a binary format with a lenght of 20, but the mysql SHA1 function return 40 long. My SQL query is something like this: SELECT CONCAT('{SHA}', BASE64_ENCODE(SHA1(access_key))) FROM user_access_keys INNER JOIN users ON user_access_keys.user_id = users.id WHERE name = %s where base64_encode is a stored function (Mysql 5.1 doesn't have TO_BASE64 yet). This query returns a 61 byte BLOB which is not the same format that apache uses. How could I generate the same format ? You can suggest other method for this too. The point is that I want to authenticate users from a MySQL5.1 database using plain text as password.
