  • PHP uploads file - enctype="multipart/form-data" issue

    - by user147685
    Hi all, I have this upload code. there are no problem running it individually, but when i try to add into my other codes, it did not get the $_files parameter. Im guessing it was becoz of enctype="multipart/form-data" in the form tag, based on this post: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1695246/why-file-upload-didnt-work-without-enctype the enctype is needed. SO my problem is, how can i do upload files without concern to this? can we juz change the code structure so that it will be compatible with other codes? if($_POST['check']){ $faillampiran=$_POST['faillampiran']; $file=$_FILES['faillampiran']["name"]; $fileSize = $_FILES['faillampiran']['size']; $fileType = $_FILES['faillampiran']['type']; if ($_FILES["faillampiran"]["error"] > 0 ) { echo "Return Code: " . $_FILES["faillampiran"]["error"] . "<br />"; } else { move_uploaded_file($_FILES["faillampiran"]["tmp_name"],"upload/" . $_FILES["faillampiran"]["name"]); echo '<table align = "center">'; echo "<tr><td>"; echo "Your file has been successfully stored."; echo "</td></tr>"; echo '</table>'; } } ?> <form method="post" name="form1" id="form1" enctype="multipart/form-data"> <tr><td></td><td><input type="hidden" name="MAX_FILE_SIZE" value=""> </td> </tr> <tr><td> Please choose a file</td><td>:</td></tr> <tr> <input type="file" size="50" name="faillampiran" alt="faillampiran" id="faillampiran" 1value= "<?=$faillampiran;?>" /> <tr align = "center"><td colspan = "3"><input type="submit" value="Hantar" name="check"/></td></tr> </tr></form> thank you.

    - by Dr Deo
i have never seen a buffer overflow exploit in live action. supporse I have found a server that seems to have vulnerabilities. Where can i get proof of the concept code preferably in c/c++ to exploit the vulnerability? eg i found this vulnerability Multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities in functions such as 'posix_access()', 'chdir()', 'ftok()' may allow a remote attacker to bypass 'safe_mode' restrictions. (CVE-2008-2665 and CVE-2008-2666). How can i get proof of concept code for educational purposes PS I am a student and my only desire is to learn

  • php - preg_replace not working when string contains a hashtag

    - by Steven
    I found a function online for turning a url within a string into a clickable link. However, when the url contains a hashtag it doesn't work. eg. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/photos/fearnecotton/5759/1#gallery5759 Here's the part of the function concerned: $ret = preg_replace( "#(^|[\n ])([\w]+?://[\w]+[^ \"\n\r\t< ]*)#", "\\1<a href=\"\\2\" target=\"_blank\">\\2</a>", $ret ); $ret = preg_replace( "#(^|[\n ])((www|ftp)\.[^ \"\t\n\r< ]*)#", "\\1<a href=\"http://\\2\" target=\"_blank\">\\2</a>", $ret ); Any ideas? thanks

    - by aSeptik
Hi All guys! ;-) i need help with creating a regex for putting all values into an array! assuming we have a huge file full of theese: Classic iCalendar style: so we know that each segment start with BEGIN:VEVENT and end with END:VEVENT ... END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT UID:e3cafdf3-c5c7-427e-b8c3-653015e9321a SUMMARY:Some Text Here DESCRIPTION:Some Text Here\n555-555-555 ORGANIZER;CN=Some/Text/Here DTSTART;TZID="Some/Text/Here":20100802T190000 DTEND;TZID="Some/Text/Here":20100802T193000 STATUS:CONFIRMED CLASS:PUBLIC X-MICROSOFT-CDO-INTENDEDSTATUS:BUSY TRANSP:OPAQUE X-MICROSOFT-DISALLOW-COUNTER:TRUE DTSTAMP:20100423T021222Z SEQUENCE:1 END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT ... by using preg_match_all that i think is the best choice for doing this, what's the regex that can hold all theese values into array!? • Cake PHP Routing issue

    - by Smickie
Hi, I need to do some special routing in cake, but can't for the life of me figure it out. I have a shop controller at /shop, the format of the url will be: /shop/:category/:sub_category/:product_slug In the routing I need to send each part of the url to a different action, for example if the url was just /shop/cakes it would go to the category action of shop. However if the url was /shop/cakes/macaroons or /shop/cakes/fairy it would go to the sub category action on the shop controller. And the the same again for /shop/cakes/macaroons/pistachio would go to the product action on the shop controller. How would I go about this in the routing? Something starting with Router::connect('/shop/:category/:sub_category/:product_slug' ... Or am I way off the mark? Thanks.

  • Best practice PHP Form Action

    - by Rob
Hi there i've built a new script (from scratch not a CMS) and i've done alot of work on reducing memory usage and the time it takes for the page to be displayed (caching HTML etc) There's one thing that i'm not sure about though. Take a simple example of an article with a comments section. If the comment form posts to another page that then redirects back to the article page I won't have the problem of people clicking refresh and resending the information. However if I do it that way, I have to load up my script twice use twice as much memory and it takes twice as long whilst i'm still only displaying the page once. Here's an example from my load log. The first load of the article is from the cache, the second rebuilds the page after the comment is posted. Example 1 0 queries using 650856 bytes of memory in 0.018667 - domain.com/article/1/my_article.html 9 queries using 1325723 bytes of memory in 0.075825 - domain.com/article/1/my_article/newcomment.html 0 queries using 650856 bytes of memory in 0.029449 - domain.com/article/1/my_article.html Example 2 0 queries using 650856 bytes of memory in 0.023526 - domain.com/article/1/my_article.html 9 queries using 1659096 bytes of memory in 0.060032 - domain.com/article/1/my_article.html Obviously the time fluctuates so you can't really compare that. But as you can see with the first method I use more memory and it takes longer to load. BUT the first method avoides the refresh problem. Does anyone have any suggestions for the best approach or for alternative ways to avoid the extra load (admittadely minimal but i'd still like to avoid it) whilst also avoiding the refresh problem?

  • Mailer issue, PHP values do not change

    - by Roland
I have a script that runs once every month and send out stats to clients, now the stats are displayed in normal text and in the shape of a Pie Graph, now if I run the script mannually from the command line all info on the graphs are correct, but when the cron job executes the script the values for the first client are displaying on the graphs of all clients. but the text is correct. I'm using domDocument to build the HTML and PHPMailer to send out the email with the Graphs embedded into the mail also use pChart to generate the Graph My code that generates the PIE graph is below include_once "pChart.1.26e/pChart/pData.class"; include_once "pChart.1.26e/pChart/pChart.class"; // Dataset definition unset($DataSet); $DataSet = new pData; $DataSet->AddPoint(array($data['total_clicks'],$remaining),"Serie1"); if($remaining < 0){ $DataSet->AddPoint(array("Clicks delivered todate","Clicks remaining = 0"),"Serie2"); }else{ $DataSet->AddPoint(array("Clicks delivered todate","Clicks remaining"),"Serie2"); } $DataSet->AddAllSeries(); $DataSet->SetAbsciseLabelSerie("Serie2"); // Initialise the graph $pie = new pChart(492,292); $pie->drawBackground(255,255,254); $pie->LineWidth = 1.1; $pie->Values = 2; // $pie->drawRoundedRectangle(5,5,375,195,5,230,230,230); //$pie->drawRectangle(0,0,480,288,169,169,169); $pie->drawRectangle(5,5,487,287,169,169,169); $pie->loadColorPalette('pChart.1.26e/color/tones-3.txt',','); // Draw the pie chart $pie->setFontProperties("pChart.1.26e/Fonts/calibrib.ttf",18); $pie->drawTitle(140,33,"Campaign Overview",0,0,0); $pie->setFontProperties("pChart.1.26e/Fonts/calibrib.ttf",11); $pie->drawTitle(343,125,"Total clicks : ".$total_clicks,0,0,0); $pie->setFontProperties("pChart.1.26e/Fonts/calibri.ttf",10); if($remaining < 0){ $pie->setFontProperties("pChart.1.26e/Fonts/calibrib.ttf",10); $pie->drawTitle(260,250,"Campaign over-delivered by ".substr($remaining,1)." clicks",205,53,53); $pie->setFontProperties("pChart.1.26e/Fonts/calibri.ttf",10); } $pie->drawPieLegend(328,140,$DataSet->GetData(),$DataSet->GetDataDescription(),255,255,255); $pie->drawPieGraph($DataSet->GetData(),$DataSet->GetDataDescription(),170,150,130,PIE_VALUE,FALSE,50,30,0); $pie->Render("generated/3dpie.png"); unset($pie); unset($DataSet); $mail->AddEmbeddedImage("/var/www/html/stats/generated/3dpie.png","5"); I just can't understand why this only happens when the cronjob runs?

  • URL flow when writing a wizard in PHP

    - by Brian
Hello, I am writing a basic wizard for my web site. It will have 4 steps, and each needs to have its own URL. Each step must first validate a form before moving on. If the form for a given step fails to validate, I don't want the URL to change. But if it passes, I do want it to move on. What is the preferred way to write this? Using javascript alone to validate is not secure enough. I have 2 ideas so far but I don't love either: 1) Post the form to the same script and use a header() redirect to the next step if it passes. 2) Send an ajax post to validate and then use location.href to send user to the next step if it passes. Is there a better way to do this? Thanks, Brian

  • How to sort a date array in PHP

    - by Click Upvote
I have an array in this format: Array ( [0] => Array ( [28th February, 2009] => 'bla' ) [1] => Array ( [19th March, 2009] => 'bla' ) [2] => Array ( [5th April, 2009] => 'bla' ) [3] => Array ( [19th April, 2009] => 'bla' ) [4] => Array ( [2nd May, 2009] => 'bla' ) ) I want to sort them out in the ascending order of the dates (based on the month, day, and year). What's the best way to do that? Originally the emails are being fetched in the MySQL date format, so its possible for me to get the array in this state: Array [ ['2008-02-28']='some text', ['2008-03-06']='some text' ] Perhaps when its in this format, I can loop through them, remove all the '-' (hyphen) marks so they are left as integars, sort them using array_sort() and loop through them yet again to sort them? Would prefer if there was another way as I'd be doing 3 loops with this per user. Thanks. Edit: I could also do this: $array[$index]=array('human'=>'28 Feb, 2009', 'db'=>'20080228', 'description'=>'Some text here'); But using this, would there be any way to sort the array based on the 'db' element alone? Edit 2: Updated initial var_dump

    I need help converting eregi_replace to preg_replace (since in PHP5 it's depreciated): function makeClickableLinks($text) { $text = eregi_replace('(((f|ht){1}tp://)[-a-zA-Z0-9@:%_\+.~#?&//=]+)', '<a href="\\1">\\1</a>', $text); $text = eregi_replace('([[:space:]()[{}])(www.[-a-zA-Z0-9@:%_\+.~#?&//=]+)', '\\1<a href="http://\\2">\\2</a>', $text); $text = eregi_replace('([_\.0-9a-z-]+@([0-9a-z][0-9a-z-]+\.)+[a-z]{2,3})', '<a href="mailto:\\1">\\1</a>', $text); return $text; } (It turns text links and emails into hyperlinks so that the user can click on them)

  • Displaying untrusted HTML using PHP

    - by esryl
I have a read a number of excellent questions and answers today about dealing with user input. I am now using htmlspecialchars() to display user data in the create/edit forms (but accepting the raw input via prepared PDO statements into my database). The main question I know have is, what do you do when you are allowing the user to submit HTML which will then be displayed to the public. Obviously htmlspecialchars() is no longer suitable as it just encodes the tags and renders the content useless for purpose. My application is currently accepting HTML from an admin for product descriptions. This would allow a malicious admin to inject potentially unsafe data into public facing pages. How do people cope with this?

  • PHP Increasing write to page speed.

    - by Frederico
I'm currently writing out xml and have done the following: header ("content-type: text/xml"); header ("content-length: ".strlen($xml)); $xml being the xml to be written out. I'm near about 1.8 megs of text (which I found via firebug), it seems as the writing is taking more time than the script to run.. is there a way to increase this write speed? Thank you in advance.

  • PHP: Modifying array recursively?

    - by Industrial
    Hi everybody, I have tried to make a function that iterates through the following array to flatten it and add parent id to children, where applicable. I just can't make it work, so I hope that anyone here has an idea of what to do: Here's the starting point: Array ( [0] => Array ( [id] => 1 ) [1] => Array ( [id] => 2 [children] => Array ( [0] => Array ( [id] => 3 ) ) ) ) The expected result : Array ( [0] => array ( [id] => 1 ) [1] => array ( [id] => 2 ) [2] => array ( [id] => 3, [parent] => 2 ) ) Hope that anyone can point me in the right direction. Thanks a lot!
