  Hi guys, I'm having trouble with one particular issue, I was hoping someone could help me out. I've completed the MVC Music Store tutorial, and now I'm trying to add some administrator functionality - practice as I will have to do this in an MVC application in my job. The application is using the aspnet membership api, and what I have done so far is created a view to list the users. What I want to be able to do, is click on the users name in order to change their password. To try and carry the username to the changeUserPassword controller (custom made). I registered a new route in the global.asax.cs file in order to display the username in the URL, which is working so far. UserList View <%: Html.RouteLink(user.UserName, "AdminPassword", new { controller="StoreManager", action="changeUserPassword", username = user.UserName }) %> Global.asax.cs routes.MapRoute( "AdminPassword", //Route name "{controller}/{action}/{username}", //URL with parameters new { controller = "StoreManager", action = "changeUserPassword", username = UrlParameter.Optional} ); So now the URL looks like this when I reach the changeUserPassword view: http://localhost:51236/StoreManager/changeUserPassword/Administrator Here is the GET changeUserPassword action: public ActionResult changeUserPassword(string username) { ViewData["username"] = username; return View(); } I wanted to store the username in ViewData as I would like to use it in the GET changeUserPassword for display purposes, and also as a hidden value in the form. This is in order to pass it through to enable me to reset the password. Having debugged through the code, it seems that 'username' is null. How can I get this to work so that the username carries over from the Html.RouteLink, to the changeUserPassword action?   I am trying to create multiple items (each with a name value and a content value) in a single form. The code I have is functioning, but I cannot figure out how to ignore items that are blank. • Google Drive Update keeps throwing an error when I try to save a thumbnail

  The Base64 string checks out fine. I was able to export it to another website and download it again as my image. When I try to do an update using the Drive Javascript api, it just keeps returning this error: Invalidvaluefor:Notavalidbase64bytestring I also true making the string URL safe. Per this page https://google-api-client-libraries.appspot.com/documentation/drive/v2/python/latest/drive_v2.files.html Am I doing something wrong here, the documentation says send Base64, the string is valid and, the string is intact throughout the process, but Google will not accept it? I am using the javascript api, I think there is maybe a bug sending the thumbnail using the javascript api.   Can a PAGE override the priority of a NODE? I want to use the power of "Pages" to override my links from the nodes... For example: A nodes link is /content/202/hello-world I want to use my Panels to use the URL to create a "PAGE"... The panels can use the arguments from the URL to create a pretty cool page around the content of a node... So the PAGE path I've made is /content/%argument1/%title... I need the links created to the node from the node itself to go to this panel page and not to the content created by the node on its own... so i make the path alias do the same as the PAGE settings... /content/nid/title... A hand typed in link to this PAGE works fine when I dont have this as the path alias... It does exactly what I need... but as soon as I make this the Path Alias, it's like it goes to the single NODE before it goes to the PAGE... Anyone have any clues... Is there an order which Drupal looks for the correct URL? Im sure I have done this before. JD

However, I need to disregard text nodes that occur within <script> elements. The solution I'm looking for would return all text nodes except for those that fall within script elements. It doesn't need to be especially high-performance, but I do need it to ultimately be cross-browser compatible. I'm assuming that I'll need to somehow loop through all children of the element that matches the selector and accumulate all text nodes other than ones within <script> elements; it doesn't look like there's any way to identify JavaScript once it's already rolled into the string accumulated from all of the text nodes. I can't use jQuery (for performance/bandwidth reasons), although you may have noticed that I do use its Sizzle selector engine, so jQuery's selector logic is available.   I'm trying to use jquery to load external pages into the current without reloading. Apparently everything works fine except of one little issue, I hope I'll be clear as much as possible. When I call the page 'info.php' it is loaded into the #content div. That's what the script supposed to do, the problem is that in the main page, which contains the script and the #content div, I already have some code that I want it to be executed when someone visit the page and not to be called from external page.   I am having two mysql instances on same machine. The installations are on /usr/loca/mysql1 and /usr/local/mysql2. I m having separate my.cnf files located in /etc/mysql1 and /etc/mysql2. I installed the first instance of my sql using source distribution and with the --prefix=/usr/local/mysql1 option. The second one i got from copying and pastinf the same directory to /usr/local/mysql2. When i start the mysql daemon on /usr.local/mysql/libexec it reads the my.cnf file in /etc/mysql1. And if i start the mysql daemon in /usr/local/mysql2 it reads the same my.cnf file. I have separate port numbers and .sock files defined in the .cnf file in those 2 locations. I can read the my.cnf file in the second location by using --defaults-file=/etc/mysql2/my.cnf option on mysqld startup. I dnt need to enter this each and every time i start the daemon. If i am going to have more instances how can i point the correct my.cnf file to read to each and every mysql daemon. What is the retionale behind mysqld links with the my.cnf file. how can i predefine the location of my.cnf file for each instance.

  I'm working with ASP.NET MVC3, and I'm trying to get absolute control over my headers because a client application that I'm working with expects a very specific content type. What I'm finding when using Fiddler to examine the HTTP traffic is that the text encoding is being returned as part of the header. For example, the client is expecting application/appname in the Content-Type header, but the server is returning application/appname; charset=utf-8. I think the client is using a strict comparison for checking the type, so I want to be able to specify exactly what is emitted in the headers. Right now I have a custom ActionResult in which I clear the headers and then specify only the content type, but the encoding still seems to be added on. How can I remove the encoding from the Content-Type header?
