  • treat mysql longtext as integer in query

    I have a set field in my db that is longtext. I have used prices in this field and cannot change the field type to integer. In my query however I need to sort by these fields and assume I should treat them as an integer. is there another way to query these results to sort by price as an integer and not longtext without having to change the field type? at the moment 3900000 is smaller than 4300 in my result set.

  • Looking for android Facebook SDK examples...

I'm just trying to find a site with some examples on how to use the OFFICIAL facebook android SDK http://github.com/facebook/facebook-android-sdk To be specific i'd like to see some examples on notification use and simple photo upload.     in my config.php where i have all constants i set the PATH to a absolute path. but this means that when i move my application folder i have to change this path. i wondered if its better to set a relative path, in that way whenever i move my application between production and development folder, i dont have to change it. how do you guys do when you move between folders?

I have to put other activity on the back and bring my alert pop up without user manipulation like notification on the front. Is there a way to bring manually an activity to the front, by resuming it like when you click on the android task switcher?

    hi guys I had this error and i don't know how to fix it Message=Cannot resolve the collation conflict between "Arabic_CI_AS" and "SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS" in the equal to operation. note: I already change the collation from the database option -- Collation i change it from "Arabic_CI_AS" to "SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS" and i am still getting the same error !! any suggestion to solve this ?

    I am trying to overwrite a JavaScript on change event in the below code with jQuery however I believe that the inline JavaScript is taking priority over the jQuery functionality declared. Essentially I am trying to have an AJAX version of my site which includes an additional JavaScript file. I need this functionality to still work without the additional AJAX version, but I am not sure as to whether I should include it in the main JavaScript file or leave it inline like it is right now. Any suggestions and information regarding them would be greatly appreciated!     I want to write an emacs function that does the following - 1) Start a new shell named "abc". 2) Change the dir "/opt/abc" 3) In the dir run a shell command "python abc.py" I have written the following fucntion - (defun abc-server () (interactive) (shell-command "cd /opt/abc/") (shell-command "python abc.py")) The problem with the above - 1) It doesnt start a new shell 2) It doesnt change the dir. 3) When the cmd executes, it opens a browser window, which completely blocks any usage of emacs.

Should I also use this interface in other parts of my application (e.g. in the business layer) when I want notifications of property changes, or I am better off using other notification mechanisms? I realize that there is nothing stopping me from using it, but are there any reasons that I shouldn't?

    When I change the size of a font in CSS, how do I make it so no matter what size the font is (from 12px to 200px), that the "Cap Height" (pic) of the text will always 'visually' have 10px padding on top? I've already implemented the textview keyboard notification but the problem is that when inputting in the textview it still behind the keyboard (the text is not visible).     I'm trying to change a user's password on mysql using java, i successfully changed it on phpmyadmin but same command doesnt work on java SET PASSWORD = PASSWORD('12345') this command will change the current logged in user, i have tried it on java like this statement = connect.createStatement(); statement.executeUpdate("SET PASSWORD = PASSWORD('12345')"); but nothing happened i also tried this with root logged in statement = connect.createStatement(); statement.executeUpdate("SET PASSWORD FOR 'username'@'localhost' = PASSWORD('123456')"); and nothing work,, any help please

    Hi, Another SharePoint question from myself! I've created a subsite and from within Sharepoint designer I've created a new aspx page, all nice and simple so far. I can't seem to find where I can change the security on this new page, only site admins can view the page and everyone else gets access denied.
