Convert long number as string in the serialization

I have a custom made class that use a long as ID. However, when I call my action using ajax, my ID is truncated and it loses the last 2 numbers because javascript loses precision when dealing with large numbers. My solution would be to give a string to my javascript, but the ID have to stay as a long on the server side. Is there a way to serialize the property as a string? I'm looking for some kind of attribute. Hi Based on this question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3013034/what-is-difference-between-where-and-join-in-linq My question is following: Is there a performance difference in the following two statements: from order in myDB.OrdersSet from person in myDB.PersonSet from product in myDB.ProductSet where order.Persons_Id==person.Id && order.Products_Id==product.Id select new { order.Id, person.Name, person.SurName, product.Model,UrunAdi=product.Name }; and from order in myDB.OrdersSet join person in myDB.PersonSet on order.Persons_Id equals person.Id join product in myDB.ProductSet on order.Products_Id equals product.Id select new { order.Id, person.Name, person.SurName, product.Model,UrunAdi=product.Name }; I would always use the second one just because it´s more clear. My question is now, is the first one slower than the second one? Does it build a cartesic product and filters it afterwards with the where clauses ? Thank you.

SWT Browser Drag and Drop

I'm trying to use drag-n-drop with an embedded SWT Browser, so that my application can drag hyperlinks from the Browser to another Control. I've been able to set up the destination to receive data from an external browser, but the internal does not seem to participate in the drag-n-drop. Any ideas? I would guess that I need something like a selection listener to track when something is grabbed in the browser, or some way to ask the browser what is currently selected, perhaps using javascript. MySQL : delete from table that is used in the where clause

I am writing a small script to synchronize 2 MySQL tables ( t1 to be 'mirrored' to t2 ) In a step I would like to delete rows inside t2 that has been delete in t1 with the same id. I tried this query : delete from t2 where t2.id in ( select t2.id left join t1 on (t1.id=t2.id) where t1.id is null ) But Mysql forbid me to use t2 in the same time in the delete and in the select (sound logical by the way) Of course, I can split the query into 2 queries : first select IDs, then delete rows with these IDs. My question : do you have a cleaner way to delete row from t2 that does not exist anymore in t1 ? with one query only ?

Hi friends, I'm a newbie drupal... I'm working on my first Drupal project. I need to make an events page for some conferences. I create event content type, and creating fields like date-place-title-etc with CCK. There are also speakers, can be up to 20. each speaker has photo-namesurname-position. same speaker can be added to more than 1 event. So it is silly to create 60 fields (photo-name-position) for 20 speakers at event adding page. and expecting admin to fill all for an event adding action. there must be a way to create speakers additionally, and listing them at event adding page with checkboxes. and admin just select the speakers from the list, can be 1 or 20 speaker. how can create such thing? in what type should I create these speakers, so i can list them in event adding page for admin to select as many as he wants. In Oracle 10g, I have this SQL: select dog.id as dogId from CANINES dog order by dog.codename asc which returns: id -- 204 203 206 923 I want to extend this query to determine the oracle rownum of a dog.id in this resultset. I have tried select rownum from (select dog.id as dogId from CANINES dog order by dog.codename asc) where dog.id=206 But this does not work out very well (it returns 1 no matter which dog.id I match on). I want to populate span tags for all text nodes between the self closing tags s1 and s2 having the same id.If the transformation of the input to the output form requires the list of ids of the s1 , s2 tag pairs say 1, 2 etc i can assume that it is in place in any form if required.The input can have any structure and not exactly the same as seen in the sample input. It can have any number of s1, s2 tag pairs but each pair will have a unique id. Hope i am clear. How can this be achieved using XSL? Problem with Refreshing data in ExpandableListView

Hi! My problem is when I want to refresh data in ExpandableListView while being in that current activity. I create adapter and when I want to add new data to list I call again constructor of that adapter(it is my private variable) with all new data....and then I call onContentChanged() method to redraw my list. But what happens is that I cant expand my list any more...like it is blocked or something and logcat isn't saying anything... When this code runs, however, result gets a value of 1. I was expecting it to be 0. Am I missing something? Why is it 1?

As of right now, only title will display, because i'm assuming it's the first one. I'm most likely doing it wrong, so any help would be appreciated.

Jquery question : maintain focus upon appending a row?

The function below checks whether the id entered is already in the database, and if it is, then it adds some html to the table. I'm not sure if it's directly related to my issue or not, but, essentially, a user will place the focus on the id input field and enters an id. Using ajax, it posts to a php script and returns data if rows are found and nothing if it doesn't. If the user then tabs over to the next input field (zipcode), or clicks in another input field, they essentially have to do so twice. The cursor "flashes" in the field briefly and then focuses out. I tried adding in a focus(), but the behavior didn't change. ASP.NET MVC Custom Routing Long Custom Route not Clicking in my Head

I have spent several hours today reading up on doing Custom Routing in ASP.NET MVC. I can understand how to do any type of custom route if it expands from or is similar/smaller than the Default Route. However, I am trying figure out how to do a route similar to: /Language/{id}/Question/{id}/ And what I would like, too, is similar to how SO works. Something like: /Language/{id}/Arabic/Question/{ID}/Some-Question-Title Where "Arabic" and "Some-Question-Title" can be almost anything because what really matters is the ID's Am I going beyond what can be done with the extended URL past the language ID?
