    I have got a disjointed rollover script from Dax Assist: www . daxassist . com/js/disjointedrollovers.cfm check out the page I'm working on: http://www.gherkin.co.nz/tester/ The rollovers works pretty well on firefox, but in Explorer the larger images show up under the central div, and in Safari, they don't seem to work at all. Any ideas?

    I'm upgrading a GWT project from GWT 1.7.1 to currently newest version 2.0.3. It seems that new GWT broke String.split(String regex) method - I get the following error on the Javascript side: this$static is undefined This happens in this line of my .nocache.js file: if (maxMatch == 0 && this$static.length > 0) { ...which happens to be a part of String split method equivalent in Javascript. Is there a cure for this, apart from doing string splitting myself?

  • windows server 2008 web edition cant change permissions

    hi there, Im used to using windows server 2003 but decided to get a Vista web edition for IIS7 and to run our MVC applications on. I have installed copSSH that i use for SFTP, and when i upload my files i am unable to change persmissions or take ownership or anything when logged in as an administrator. when i try to go to permissions i get: The permissions on uploads are incorrectly ordered, which may cause some entries to be ineffective. and all permissions are the grayed out. i have tried to use icacls to reset ownership and also tried to give myself full control through icacls however all attempts are met with a access is denied message and failed processing 669 files. all i wish to do is set up write and delete permissions on an upload folder for a CMS systems admin area, but i am a week into looking into this and i am still no wiser. Please could someone give some sound advice so i can get this running smooth thanks p.s i have added the copSSH notes as i think that when i SFTP the files to the server, this may somehow have some involvement in messing up permissions

  • Distinction between Cloud Servers and VPS

    What is the distinction between a Cloud based host and a VPS? I talked to a Rackspace Cloud sales person for around 45 minutes and never came to a real conclusion on this. So, to elaborate on my question a bit -- what benefits might a "cloud" server provide me versus a VPS provider such as Linode and vice versa -- what benefits would a VPS provide over a cloud provider? From what I've been able to ascertain, when you host on a cloud (with Rackspace Cloud) you get a instance of Linux in which you install software and such (a LAMP, for instance). From what I can figure, if the instance is running, I am charged and the pricing on Rackspace (according to what I understood from the sales rep) comes out to about $20 a month.... I was thinking a cloud customer pays per processing hours -- so if your app just sits there, no charges are incurred. Does one not pay of the cloud instance is shut down, perhaps?     Is there any (possibly free or open-source) virtual WDM audio driver for Windows, with additional processing plugins, which would add one more layer between windows applications and actual sound card's WDM audio driver, allowing to: Add software DSPs to general audio output. I would like to be able to use custom effects, like compressor, or stereophonic-to-binaural converter for listening online's streaming media on headphones, etc. Connect its output to some custom buffer instead of the sound card. For example, to be able to record audio, or to send audio via wireless connection to some other wireless source? Virtual audio driver was just my idea how to solve these issues - if you know other way, please share your knowledge. I need this for Windows 7 and/or Windows XP.

  • Cannot create Java VM on OpenVZ

    I'm constantly encountering an error related to Java and certificates on my Ubuntu server running in OpenVZ when installing things from apt-get. I'm pretty sure it has to do with how Java allocates memory. I know the fail counter for privvmpages is very high, so the problem must be that Java is hitting this limit. I have read that the server VM will allocate a lot of memory up front to preempt performance issues, but that the client VM doesn't do this and might be better for what I'm doing. I messed with jvm.cfg to make the system go to the client VM, but get an error that it can't find the client VM. I have tried replacing the Java binary with a script calling Java with -Xms and -Xmx settings, and that solves the issue for when I call basic things from the command line, but not for when doing things like having apt-get configure certificates. I'm at a loss for what to try next. I need to get this working, but simply increasing privvmpages is not an available option. I have the actual error pasted below.   • Most efficient way to connect an ISAPI Dll to a windows service

    I am writing a custom server for a client. They want scalability so I must use a thread pool and probably I/O completion port to regulate it. The main requirement is that a windows service manage the HTTP requests for a number of reasons. An example of one would be that a client session spans many requests and continuity must be maintained. Another would be that the ISAPI Dll will be in the IIS address space and so it's code will be lean and very carefully implemented. The extensive processing in the Windows service may get unruly for the duration of the lengthy development. If the service crashes it will not take out IIS. Anyway, the remaining decision is how to have these two processes communicate. We have talked about pipes, tcp, global memory and even a single pipe with multiplexed data ala FastCGI. Would love to hear anyones experience with a decision like this.

  • procmail issue - splitting delivery of one address based on destination domain

    I use procmail to handle some serverside mail processing. I am trying to setup one email address on a server that support multiple domains (in the example below, domain.net and domain.com). I want mail sent to [email protected] to go to bob and mail sent to [email protected] to go to sara. VERBOSE=off LOGFILE=/dev/null :0 * .domain.net bob :0 * .domain.com sara The above recipe seems to work quite well in that it catches incoming mail to domain.net and forwards it to bob. However, instead of forwarding mail to domain.com to sara, it creates a file in /home/user called sara. What am I doing wrong on this?

We use the freeradius server to authenticate WLAN users. But how can I tell freeradius to try both logins, [email protected] (should fail) testtest (against users file - should work)

  • Jquery 'permission denied' error for JSON call between HTTP and HTTPS

    Hi, I have a login control on my homepage (http://www.xyz.com) which makes a JSON login request over HTTPS (https://www.xyz.com/json.ashx). This seems to work fine in Firefox and IE7. But IE8 gives a 'permission denied' error for jquery.min.js I have verified that this call works fine if its solely over http or https. Is the call considered 'cross-domain' if it is between the http and https sections of the site? How can I resolve this problem? Thanks, Murali

  • Automating an SSRS 2008 R2 Report Snapshots and run report with most recent data

    I would like to automate a report snapshot, but there is only an option to take a snapshot in the Report History Tab. All the resources I've found suggest I need to go to processing options and select "Render this report from a snapshot". But I don't want to do that - when I go to a report, I want to get the most recent data. However daily at midnight I'd like to take a snapshot and store it in the history in case I want to compare the reports as of midnight for the last few weeks. Or am I doing this wrong and have to create a subscription instead? Note: this is for an auditing database and has way to much data in to query a range with more than 1 day in it - reports are restricted as such. (1 day has over 1 million rows on it's own).

    I need to setup a mail server that has the following functionality: if a user sends an email to a specific address on this server, the server must first check if the email has a PDF attachment, do some processing to that PDF file and then reply to the user's initial mail with the new PDF file attached. My question is how would it be possible to achieve this functionality, and what software / mail server do you recommend? I'm thinking that it can be solved the following way: when the server receives a new email it executes an external Python script that checks the attachment, processes the PDF file and then sends it back in the user's mailbox. What mail server would be able to do this, and what configurations does it need?

Each div has an ID, so I want a way to say something like: wizardForm.validate().element('#first-step :input') but this only validates the first input, not all of them. How can I validate all inputs within a div?

  • FTP ASCII file from Windows to Mainframe (iSeries) — special characters

    I have a text file created on a Windows machine, the page coding used on the file is 1252 This file is then ftp'd to an iSeries machine for processing As far as I can see, it appears on the iSeries. It has a CCSID of 037. Sometimes this file contains French characters (e.g. é). When this happens, the FTP will fail with a truncation error as the french character gets converted to some extra junk: �. The file is fixed block so the line does get truncated due to the one character turning into 3. I can convert the French characters to characters without the accents before sending but would prefer to keep everything intact. So is there a way to retain them and send the file over properly? I'm very green on iSeries, mainly a Windows guy.

    Hey, I'm trying to add a validation rule to multiple textboxes dynamically. Here's the js: //validate form. $("#SubmitForm").validate(); $("input[id*=Hours]").rules("add", { number: true, messages: { number: "Please enter a valid Hours" } }); This applies the rule to the very first textbox on the page with "Hours" in the id but then it doesn't apply it to any of the other ones.   • Myfaces extensionfilter overriding renderkit? (Tree2 component)

    I've pulled in the tree2 component (from Tomahawk 1.1.9). Had used the simpler Tree component on previous projects, and this one just looks a bit nicer. Running on websphere 6.1.x and set the server side flag that's needed (com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.invokefilterscompatibility=true) and set the extensionfilter accordingly. Everything's good, and works as expected. Here's the issue: - on a page being included on this one (just some typical footer type info with NO myfaces widgets), there's some embedded html that's getting flagged with warnings in the systemout console). These look like org.apache.myfaces.renderkit.html.util.ReducedHTMLParser parse Invalid tag found: unexpected input while looking for attr name or '/' at line 475. Surroundings: 'span id="tile:footr:viewFragm'. org.apache.myfaces.renderkit.html.util.ReducedHTMLParser parse Invalid tag found: unexpected input while looking for attr name or '/' at line 479. Surroundings: 'a id="tile:footr:viewFragment'. org.apache.myfaces.renderkit.html.util.ReducedHTMLParser parse Invalid tag found: unexpected input while looking for attr name or '/' at line 492. Surroundings: 'a id="tile:footr:viewFragment'. The problem isn't necessarily with the html (which should be cleaned up regardless :-). IF I don't include myfaces, I don't get these warning messages with the default ibm jsf renderer (using jsf 1.1 still). Obviously, IBM's implementation is a bit more lax than myFaces. The page has nothing to do with myfaces at all. The reason for needing the extension filter is that it needs (for the Tree2 anyways, I know it does more for file upload) to intercept requests and then stick some .js includes on the page. Investigated this a bit, and I've included this filter in my web.xml, but it is NO longer fronting the faces servlet. So, the filter is instantiated at startup, but is never executed. Since the filter isn't in place, I've had to hard code in the includes for the 2 .js files into my page Now, the tree2 gets rendered properly, AND I'm not getting the warnings from above, because with the extentionfilter not being called, its using the IBM renderkit ;-) I'm a bit concerned that when the extension filter is in place, everything is being rendered by myFaces, rather than IBM's renderkit (i.e. All I want is myfaces/tomahawk to render the tree2 only, and let the ri do everything else) Can anyone confirm this? When you use myfaces/tomahawk, is it doing all the rendering for the whole application, or just the page any tomahawk widget is on? Thanks for any thoughts on this mike

  • vista server 2008 web edition cant change permissions

    hi there, Im used to using windows server 2003 but decided to get a Vista web edition for IIS7 and to run our MVC applications on. I have installed copSSH that i use for SFTP, and when i upload my files i am unable to change persmissions or take ownership or anything when logged in as an administrator. when i try to go to permissions i get: The permissions on uploads are incorrectly ordered, which may cause some entries to be ineffective. and all permissions are the grayed out. i have tried to use icacls to reset ownership and also tried to give myself full control through icacls however all attempts are met with a access is denied message and failed processing 669 files. all i wish to do is set up write and delete permissions on an upload folder for a CMS systems admin area, but i am a week into looking into this and i am still no wiser. Please could someone give some sound advice so i can get this running smooth thanks p.s i have added the copSSH notes as i think that when i SFTP the files to the server, this may somehow have some involvement in messing up permissions
