  Now I have the coordinate of two locations, let say locationA with latitude 40 and longitude -80, locationB with latitude 30 and longitude -70, I want to create a mapView that I can see both locations with appropriate viewing distance. I got the new coordinate by finding the midpoint (in this example, {35, -75}), but the question is, How can I get an appropriate viewing distance? In particular, how can I calculate CLLocationDistance (if I'm using MKCoordinateRegionMakeWithDistance) or MKCoordinateSpan (if I'm using MKCoordinateSpanMake). Thanks in advance.

  I'm trying to build a basic POP3 mail client in C/++, but I've run into a bit of an issue. Since you have to define the buffer size when building the program, but a message can be arbitrarily large, how do you, say, get the mail server to send it to you in parts? And if this isn't the correct means of solving the problem, what is? And while I'm here, can anyone confirm for me that RFC 2822 is still the current document defining email layout? Thanks

  instead of SELECT * FROM mytable, i would like to select all fields EXCEPT one (namely, the 'serialized' field, which stores a serialized object). this is because i think that losing that field will speed up my query by a lot. however, i have so many fields and am quite the lazy guy. is there a way to say... `SELECT ALL_ROWS_EXCEPT(serialized) FROM mytable` ? thanks!

Ideally the output would be something like: <Person <firstNameJohn</firstName <lastNameSmith</lastName </Person It seems like there should be a way to do this without having to write all that out manually.   Say have this piece of code: var marker = new google.maps.Marker({ position: location, title: 'B&#250;fals', map: map }); This creates a marker as expected but if I hover the mouse over it I don’t see 'Búfals' as I would expect (instead I see the html code).   I want to have a robot fetch a URL every hour, but if the site's operator is malicious he could have his server send me a 1 GB file. Is there a good way to limit downloading to, say, 100 KB and stop after that limit? I can imagine writing my own connection handler from scratch, but I'd like to use urllib2 if at all possible, just specifying the limit somehow. Thanks!
