  • Uninitialized constant Encoding with sqlite3-ruby on windows

    On a new machine, installed ruby with the 1-click installer for windows. Installed rails 2.3.2 and all associated gems, then I installed the sqlite3 binaries (into the c:\ruby\bin folder). Lastly I did gem install sqlite3-ruby -v=1.2.3 (which is apparently the latest version that works with windows) This error happens when I run rake db:migrate or when any ActiveRecord object is touched at runtime. The error looks like this: ** Invoke db:migrate (first_time) ** Invoke environment (first_time) ** Execute environment ** Execute db:migrate rake aborted! **uninitialized constant Encoding** <---- Any help resolving this error would be greatly appreciated!   • iPhone - Core Data crash on migration

    I have problems, when i install app from Xcode all works but if I build app and install it from iTunes I have an error with the database at launch. This happens only than i have changes in the core data model and need to migrate to a new version. I dont know why but when I tried removing one '?' in the DELETE dunction, I had the error that says there are only 8 columns and it needs 10. But originally, there are only 9 columns. So add added libsqlite3.0.dylib to frameworks and compile without any problems it complied and with any problems I could run it on the device as well. This week I installed Snow Leopard on my Mac. Removing old Leopard version and install a fresh Snow leopard system. But my problem is now I cannot compile that program because it will give errors with sqlite3 library. I added sqlite3.0.dylib using selecting targets and then selecting file.     I have a file of about 30000 lines of data I want to load into a sqlite3 database. Is there a faster way that generating insert statements for each line of data? The data is space delimited and maps directly to the sqlite3 table. Is there any sort of bulk insert method for adding volume data to a database? Has anyone devised some deviously wonderful way of doing this if it's not built in? I should preface this by asking is there a c++ way to do it from the API? Thanks.

Both the superentity and subentities of itemSeries and itemStudy are nil so they don't inherit from something that has KVC @"type". I'm totally at a loss as to explain what is going on. --- EDIT --- I know no one can explain what is going on... but maybe where to start looking?   • How do you handle the deletion of your model working with ViewModels and keeping them in sync ?

    Hello, these could be my entity relations: 1 Pupil has 1 Chair 1 Pupil has N Documents 1 Pupil has N Marks 1 Pupil has N IncidentReports etc... So with that sample I get 4 IEnumerable from my database put each into an ObservableCollection. Now I have 4 different Views each bound to one of those 4 collections. Lets assume I delete a single PupilViewModel in the AdministrationController which is the only View where I can delete a PupilViewModel. Now I have to inform 3 other Controller and their ObservableCollections about the one deleted PupilViewModel to keep the whole application synchronized... thats stupid somehow. Do you have any good advice on that scenario? AND it gets even worse. If I delete a schoolclass I have to sync the pupils everywhere AND the documents or incidentreports or marks... gush... o_O

It seems that the main reason for the large file size is that the same strings tend to be repeated in thousands of rows. The corresponding cell in the EmailInfo table contains an orphaned ToAddrRef value. If you do the INSERTs one at a time, you'll see that Alice's ID in the AddressLookup table changes! It appears that this behavior is documented: An ON CONFLICT clause may be specified as part of an UPDATE or INSERT action within the body of the trigger. However if an ON CONFLICT clause is specified as part of the statement causing the trigger to fire, then conflict handling policy of the outer statement is used instead. So the "REPLACE" in the top-level "INSERT OR REPLACE" statement is overriding the critical "INSERT OR IGNORE" in the trigger program. Is there a way I can make it work the way that I wanted?

    I would like to add some interactive capability to a python CLI application I've writen that stores data in a SQLite3 database. Currently, my app reads-in a certain type of file, parses and analyzes, puts the analysis data into the db, and spits the formatted records to stdout (which I generally pipe to a file). There are on-the-order-of a million records in this file. Ideally, I would like to eliminate that text file situation altogether and just loop after that "parse and analyze" part, displaying a screen's worth of records, and allowing the user to page through them and enter some commands that will edit the records. The backend part I know how to do. Can anyone suggest a good starting point for creating that pager frontend either directly in the console (like the pager "less"), through ncurses, or some other system?

Missing requirement: Android Development Tools 0.9.6.v201002051504-24846 (com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.feature.group 0.9.6.v201002051504-24846) requires 'org.eclipse.wst.xml.ui 0.0.0' but it could not be found I am running Kubuntu 9.10 and Eclipse 3.5. I have managed to get the Android DDMS to install. But I keep running into blocks with the Development Tools. I have the Android SDK installed. What do I need to do in order get the missing component?

    Hi guys, this is an SQL question and don't know which type of JOIN, GROUP BY etc. to use, it is for a chat program where messages are related to rooms and each day in a room is linked to a transcript etc. Basically, when outputting my transcripts, I need to show which users have chatted on that transcript.
