  • Oracle: Is there a way to get the column data types for a view?

    For a table in oracle, I can query "all_tab_columns" and get table column information, like the data type, precision, whether or not the column is nullable. In SQL Developer or TOAD, you can click on a view in the GUI and it will spit out a list of the columns that the view returns and the same set of data (data type, precision, nullable, etc). So my question is, is there a way to query this column definition for a view, the way you can for a table? How do the GUI tools do it?

    I have applied a color theme called Vibrant Ink (or some modification of it), and since I installed Visual Studio 2010 Pro Power Tools all my statement completion boxes are undreadable. What setting changes the colors of these boxes? Preferrably, I'd like to change the background color to something darker, but if that's not possible at least I want to change the text color.

  • Is there a Moria like theme for Visual Studio 2010?

    Is there some cool Moria like theme for Visual Studio 2010? Mine is highlighting gray font with gray background! I just can't configure it on Tools-Options-Environment-Fonts and Colors menu. Visual Studio doesn't seem to show an item for this "highlighting keyword/tag system". You select a variable on variable called myVar, and it highlights all with the same name but with a grayer color and gray background. I just can't read it and can't set it.

I for example want to be able to set rules about method lenght, complexity and so on, I found NDepend very convenient can I somehow use NDepend to run some rules on the files trying to check in. I also want to be able to bypass the rules sometimes. Are there any blogs or discussions around this, if it wont work with NDepend are there any other tools or ways I can use?

    I was reading Code Complete 2 and it mentions this: Many version-control tools wil insert version information into a file. In CVS, for exmple the characters // $id$ Will Automaticly expand to // $id: ClassName.java, v 1.1 2004/02/05 00:36:42 ismene Exp $ So now I would like to do something similar with VSS for our SQL scripts I have been googling around for the answer but can't find it. Is this possible? can someone maybe point me in the right direction?

    I have so many problems with using crystal reports over the internet. I admit that the web viewer looks good and the reports you can produce with it are really good but... I have issues with diffrent versions on diffrent servers The development tools are worse than access I dont understand it.     Hi all, I have an method in the tableview controller class. It consists few of the UIColor and UIFont class names. I am unit testing that metohd. But when i build that test target i am getting this error: "/Developer/Tools/RunPlatformUnitTests.include:451:0 Test rig '/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator3.0.sdk/Developer/usr/bin/otest' exited abnormally with code 133 (it may have crashed)."     I have an Excel worksheet where the user enters certain data, which I want to store in a text file and upload to a server using FTP. One site suggested adding a reference to "Microsoft Internet Transfer Control" and then define an "Inet" object to do the FTP. However, I am unable to find a reference with this name in "Tools - References" in the VB Editor. Does anyone know of a solution for this problem? Thanks in advance.

I've been thinking on PDF generation but not sure if there are handy tools to construct pivot tables.
