  • Multiple items with PayPal button and PHP

    I'm building a website where I basically want my checkout to work like this website: http://www.solutionkaizen.com/html/boutique.php It allows you to enter the quantity for each item and then press a button which brings you to PayPal and lists how many Products you have. On PayPal's website, all the info I found seems to lead to me needing a shopping cart. If this is absolutely necessary, how could I implement that? Thanks

  • Accessing CSR extension stack in M2Crypto

    Howdy! I have a certificate signing request with an extension stack added. When building a certificate based on this request, I would like to be able to access that stack to use in creating the final certificate. However, while M2Crypto.X509.X509 has a number of helpers for accessing extensions (get_ext, get_ext_at and the like), M2Crypto.X509.Request appears to provide only a member for adding extensions, but no way to inspect the extensions already associated with a given object. Am I missing something here?

  • Django template can't see CSS files

    I'm building a django app and I can't get the templates to see the CSS files... My settings.py file looks like: MEDIA_ROOT = os.path.join(os.path.abspath(os.path.dirname(__file__)), 'media') MEDIA_URL = '/media/' I've got the CSS files in /mysite/media/css/ and the template code contains: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/media/css/site_base.css" />` then, in the url.py file I have: # DEVELOPMENT ONLY (r'^media/(?P<path>.*)$', 'django.views.static.serve', {'document_root': '/media'}), but the development server serves the plain html (without styles). What am I doing wrong?

  • What is the worst Mac OS X annoyance in your opinion?

    I'll start with multi-monitor support. I'm trying to set up a Macbook to use an external display and I can't for the life of me get it to move the Dock over to the external display. That and it won't let me disable the Macbook's internal LCD. Please put one item into each post so that the community can vote on each issue. But how often do you think / use of these in the real-world, unless you are developing something from the ground-up keeping performance in mind?

  • SharePoint Add New Item Button on Home Page

    I'm building a bulletin board site (in 2010) and I'm sure this must be simple but again it doesn't seem so. Anyway on my default page I have a query webpart showing the latest items and what I need is just a button at the top of the page "Add new item" which would show the popup and allow users to complete the form just like it works on the display list items form. I've looked at AllItems.aspx but can't even see the "Add new item" button to copy! Any ideas? Thanks Dan

    I need to remotely install Ubuntu Server 10.04 (x86) on a server currently running RHEL 3.4 (x86). I'll have to be very careful because no one can press the restart button for me if anything goes wrong. Have you ever remotely installed Linux? Which way would you recommend? The main components of my method are drawn from HOWTO - Install Debian Onto a Remote Linux System, grub legacy: Booting once-only, grub single boot and kernel panic reboot , and Ubuntu Community Documentation: InstallationFromKnoppix Here is the outline of what I did: Run debootstrap on an existing Ubuntu server Transfer the files to the swap partition of the RHEL 3.4 server Boot into tha swap partition (the debootstrap system) Transfer the files to the original root partition Boot into the new Ubuntu system and finish up the installation with tasksel, apt-get, etc I tested the method in a VM and then applied to the server. I was lucky enough that everything went smoothly :)

Heard that nginx performance is quite impressive, but Apache has more docs, community(read:expert) to get help Now what I want to know, how both web servers compare in term of performance, easiness of config, level of customization,etc. AS REVERSE PROXY server in a vps environment?? I'm still weighing between the two for a ruby web app(not ROR) served with thin server. Specific answer will be much appreciated. General answer not touching the ruby part is okay.   • Is there a free tool/package that can monitor web traffic and display URLS accessed? [closed]

    I couldn't find a similar question but then maybe I am searching for the wrong terms. A few years ago I used a router like device, I'm pretty sure it was a SonicWall, that did this on a clients site. Basically all traffic would be routed through this device and it allowed the manager/administrator to inspect web usage of the workers, determine how often certain resources were accessed and block them if necessary (much like content filter). It showed reports based on domain name reached etc. Facebbok.com, Bebo.com and so on. It also displayed the usual IP traffic information etc. it was a UTM also. I have tried Endian firewall, with it's NTOP install, but I don't think that will show URLs browsed. Maybe I just haven't found it in NTOP yet? I need this to troubleshoot connection and traffic issue at my home, with about twenty devices/users so didn't want to buy a dedicated solution and have spare hardware to use a community product.

    These days server naming is a bit of a lost art. Most large organizations don't allow for fanciful names and name their servers with jumbles of digits and letters. In the olden days just about every system administrator came up with a unique naming scheme, well, sometimes unique - many just settled for Star Trek characters. To this day my favorite server name is Qantas - a Unix server that Joel Spolsky has or used to have. Why Qantas? You'd have to ask Rainman. So my question is this - what is the coolest server name or naming convention that you encountered? Let the geekfest begin.   • How to connect a remote IP Phone to our VOIP Network?

    We have an IP phone system in our office, and about 8 VoIP phones running on the system. We have a remote worker, who is literally states away. We'd like to connect his phone to our VoIP network, so that he has a business phone and an extension to which we could transfer calls. I was thinking, although I don't know for sure, that a pair of Cisco routers could be used in some way to make this work. I imagine a VPN solution, where I have one router connected to the phone network and the other router connected to the remote phone. Then have a site-to-site VPN set up so that the remote router... And that's where I'm stuck. I know the remote router will need to use the DHCP server of the phone system. I've never set up something like this, so I am seeking the help of the community here. What is the best way to get this remote VoIP phone RELIABLY connected to our internal VoIP network?

  • Isn't it better to create the subview hierarchy in -viewDidLoad rather than in -loadView?

    The docs say that the whole subview hierarchy can be created in -loadView. But there's also this -viewDidLoad method which sounds nice to ovewrite for actually building the hierarchy, when the view loaded. I guess it's a matter of taste only. But maybe doing so in -viewDidLoad hast the advantage that the view controller already adjusted the frame of the view correctly to accomodate for the status bar or any other kind of bar like tab bar or tool bar?
