  • why search field in not displayed at the Iphone MKMapView?

    Hi, In My application i am using MKMapview to display the googleMap,but it is not displaying the search field in the Map. I have downloaded the Maps application from the Appstore in my real device and which is disaplying the seach field in the map. can any body have any solution for displaying the search field in the Existing Map, as i want to search the text into the search field and want to display its content to the Map? After researching a little, I found out that I need to hook the game and then display the C# window. Can anyone explain how I would do this? Would I be able to display a C# form over a DirectX game?

  • realtime logging

    I have an application which has a loop, part of a "Scheduler", which runs at all time and is the heart of the application. Pretty much like a game loop, just that my application is a WPF application and it's not a game. Naturally the application does logging at many points, but the Scheduler does some sensitive monitoring, and sometimes it's impossible just from the logs to tell what may have gotten wrong (and by wrong I don't mean exceptions) or the current status. Because Scheduler's inner loop runs at short intervals, you can't do file I/O-based logging (or using the Event Viewer) in there. First, you need to watch it in real-time, and secondly the log file would grow in size very fast. So I was thinking of ways to show this data to the user in the realtime, some things I considered: Display the data in realtime in the UI Use AllocConsole/WriteConsole to display this information in a console Use a different console application which would display this information, communicate between the Scheduler and the console app using pipes or other IPC techniques Use Windows' Performance Monitor and somehow feed it with this information ETW Displaying in the UI would have its issues. First it doesn't integrate with the UI I had in mind for my application, and I don't want to complicate the UI just for this. This diagnostics would only happen rarely. Secondly, there is going to be some non-trivial data protection, as the Scheduler has it's own thread. A separate console window would work probably, but I'm still worried if it's not too much threshold. Allocating my own console, as this is a windows app, would probably be better than a different console application (3), as I don't need to worry about IPC communication, and non-blocking communication. However a user could close the console I allocated, and it would be problematic in that case. With a separate process you don't have to worry about it. Assuming there is an API for Performance Monitor, it wouldn't be integrated too well with my app or apparent to the users. Using ETW also doesn't solve anything, just a random idea, I still need to display this information somehow. What others think, would there be other ways I missed?

For example if user is using HTC HD , the whole screen would be 480x800 with button sized 240x200. However IE mobile as well as Opera load the page with some zoom level, so the buttons display either too large or too small. How can I either read current zoom level in javascript or set it from javascript?

  • Stretching width correctly to 100% of an inline-block element in IE6 and IE7

    I have the following markup, where I am attempting to get the right hand side of the second table to align with the right hand side of the heading above it. This works in IE8, Firefox and Chrome, but in IE6/7 the table is incorrectly stretched to fill the width of the page. I'm using the Trip Switch hasLayout trigger to apply inline-block in IE6/7. Does anyone know how (or even if) I can get the table only to fill the natural width of the wrapper element displayed with inline-block in IE6/7? Is there a way to display only specific error messages at that point? For example, in the case of fielderror one only needs to add the fieldName attribute.   • Problem dismissing multiple modal view controllers

    I am having trouble getting my modal view controllers to display properly. I have a parent view controller that is the delegate for modal view A. In modal view A I am presenting modal view B, and having the delegate dimiss modal view A. When modal view B appears it seems to display but the screen dims, and the UI locks up, but the app doesn't crash. I set animation settings to NO and I am still getting the same issue.

    Hi, I would like to use a UIWebView to display some files (PDF, PPT, DOC) and would like to have the ability to scroll using external controls (ie a couple of buttons that, when pressed skip back and forward a page) and display the current page in a UITextView. Is this possible? I have no experience with javascript, but a friend of mine has suggested that this might be a useful approach. Is his suggestion valid? JP

  • Hosting Mecurial HG via VisualSVN Server

    I have tried to host a Mercurial HG repository using a Scriptalias. ScriptAlias /hg/ "htdocs/hgwebdir.cgi" If I go to Chrome it display the contents of the cgi file. In IE it does render however images and links are not displayed. In either case the repository I want to display is not shown. Has anyone managed to get this working with VisualSVN? Also will this work if I have windows authentication and https? Thanks David

  • How to Read Device Data From COM

    I have one device which sends data on COM port say on COM13, now i want to read that data and display it in the RichtextBox or in any text control , i have written the application with the help of IO and IO.Ports but comport.DataRecived event does not fire,even though device is sending data on that port, I have some software on which i define the port number and it successfully display data ,which insure me that data is reciving on the Port but i am unable to recive, is there any way i can read data?
