Then I create a sub class,SubObj or whatever, inherits from Obj SubObj.prototype.prototype=Obj; Now, it's time to override the index(child) function,however, index() is also in the function an I don't want to overwrite it too.     Declaring a property in a derived class that matches the name of a property in the base class "hides" it (unless it overrides it with the override keyword). Both the base and derived class properties will be returned by Type.GetProperties() if their types don't match. However, if their types do match, shockingly only the derived class's property is returned. For instance: class A { protected double p; public int P { get { return (int)p; } set { p = value; } } } class B : A { public new int P { get { return (int)p; } set { p = value; } } } class C : B { public new float P { get { return (float)p; } set { p = value; } } } Calling typeof(C).GetProperties() will only return B.P and C.P. Is it possible to call GetProperties() in a way that returns all three? There is almost certainly a way to do it by traversing the inheritance hierarchy, but is there a cleaner solution?

  • UIPageViewController blanking page

    I've been trying to use the UIPageViewController to display 3 different nibs for a few days on and off now and have almost got it working. I still have one weird bug that I cant figure out. Basically the app starts, I can scroll between the 3 pages one after another with out any problems, eg: Page1-Page2-Page3 and then back to the start: Page3-Page2-Page1. No Problems. The issue is that if I scroll, for example from Page3-Page2, then BACK to Page3, Page3 Dissappears when it snaps into place. If I scroll to where a forth page would be, then I get Page3.     I am trying to get/return multiple values from an SQL-Server database using and display them on an ASP.NET page. I am using a stored procedure to perform the SELECT command on the Database side. I am able to return the first value that matches the variable @PERSON but only one row is returned each time. Any help would be much appreciated.     I am trying to use JavaScript to validate forms but if the form doesn't validate, I don't want the form to be sent to the "action" page. What have I missed here? The submit button: <a href="" onclick="return formSubmit(); return false" class="purplebutton">Signup</a> So what have I missed? How do I avoid this in the future?

    On iOS, I am looking for the proper way to return the URLs for a list of files that are in a directory. /images 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg ... I know the URL for the directory and know all the files in the directory will be of type jpeg. It is not clear to me how to properly format the NSURLRequest to return the list of files in the images directory. Once the list is returned, I will iterate through it to return the individual images.

Now i want to check, if anyone of the string is empty then i should remove the empty cells, so i have faced some problems, if i have removed any empty cell, then it will changed the index number.     Frist of all, I read erickson's usefull reply to "Why can’t I define a static method in a Java interface?". This question is not about the "why" but about the "how then?". So basically I want one Interface to provide both usual methods and e.g. a getSimilarObject method. For (a made up) example public interface ParametricFunction { /** @return f(x) using the parameters */ static abstract public double getValue(double x, double[] parameters); /** @return The function's name */ static abstract public String getName(); } and then public class Parabola implements ParametricFunction { /** @return f(x) = parameters[0] * x² + parameters[1] * x + parameters[2] */ static public double getValue(double x, double[] parameters) { return ( parameters[2] + x*(parameters[1] + x*parameters[0])); } static public String getName() { return "Parabola"; } } Since this is not allowed in the current Java standard, what is the closest thing to this? The idea behind this is putting several ParametricFunction's in a package and use Reflection to list them all, allowing the user to pick e.g. which one to plot. Obviously one could provide a loader class containing an array of the available ParametricFunction's, but every time a new one is implemented one has to remember adding it there, too.

    I'd like to run an Android background service that will act as a keylistener from the home screen or when the phone is asleep. Is this possible?     All, I am trying to use JQuery's URL Validator plugin. http://docs.jquery.com/Plugins/Validation/Methods/url I have a text box that has a URL. I want to write a function which takes the textbox value, uses the jquery's validator plugin to validate urls and returns true or false.   • Crash in C++ Code

    I am trying to list all files in a directory recursively. But my code crashes without giving any error. When the given file is directory I recursively call the function or else print its name.
