Why is my animation getting aborted?

I have a class named Animation which handles my animations. The animation class can be called from multiple other classes. For example, the class Player.cs can call the animation class like this: Animation Playeranimation; Playeranimation = new Animation(TimeSpan.FromSeconds(2.5f), 80, 40, Animation.Sequences.forwards, 0, 5, false, true); //updating the animation public void Update(GameTime gametime) { Playeranimation.Update(gametime); } //drawing the animation public void Draw(SpriteBatch batch) { playeranimation.Draw(batch, PlayerAnimationSpritesheet, PosX, PosY, 0, SpriteEffects.None); } The class Lion.cs can call the animation class with the same code, only the animation parameters are changing because it's another animation that should be played: Animation Lionanimation; Lionanimation = new Animation(TimeSpan.FromSeconds(2.5f), 100, 60, Animation.Sequences.forwards, 0, 8, false, true); Other classes can call the animation class with the same code like the Player class. But sometimes I have some trouble with the animations. If an animation is running and then shortly afterwards another class calls the animation class too, the second animation starts but the first animation is getting aborted. In this case, the first animation couldn't run until it's end because another class started a new instance of the animation class. Why is an animation sometimes getting aborted when another animation starts? How can I solve this problem? Is there a Math.atan2 substitute for j2ME? Blackberry development

I have a wide variety of locations stored in my persistent object that contain latitudes and longitudes in double(43.7389, 7.42577) format. I need to be able to grab the user's latitude and longitude and select all items within, say 1 mile. Walking distance. I have done this in PHP so I snagged my PHP code and transferred it to Java, where everything plugged in fine until I figured out J2ME doesn't support atan2(double, double). So, after some searching, I find a small snippet of code that is supposed to be a substitute for atan2. When I click submit button in a JSF form the following exception occurs. It says an Indexout of bounds exception, but I did not use any ArrayList associated with the code. So I was watching a talk by Google's Marissa Mayer about speeding up Google's pages. They found that a shopping cart icon increased load time by 2%, and users then searched 2% less. They managed to replace the icon with an HTML table. How to use onSensorChanged sensor data in combination with OpenGL

I have written a TestSuite to find out how to calculate the rotation angles from the data you get in SensorEventListener.onSensorChanged(). I really hope you can complete my solution to help people who will have the same problems like me. Here is the code, i think you will understand it after reading it. Feel free to change it, the main idea was to implement several methods to send the orientation angles to the opengl view or any other target which would need it. method 1 to 4 are working, they are directly sending the rotationMatrix to the OpenGl view. all other methods are not working or buggy and i hope someone knows to get them working. i think the best method would be method 5 if it would work, because it would be the easiest to understand but i'm not sure how efficient it is. the complete code isn't optimized so i recommend to not use it as it is in your project. here it is: import java.nio.ByteBuffer; How to edit item in a listbox shown from reading a .csv file?

I am working in a project where my application can open a .csv file and read data from it. The .csv file contains the latitude, longitude of places. The application reads data from the file shows it in a static map and display icon on the right places. The application can open multiple file at a time and it opens with a new tab every time. But I am having trouble in couple of cases When I am trying to add a new point to the .csv file opened. I am able to write new point on the same file instead adding a new point data to the existing its replacing others and writing the new point only. I cannot use selectedIndexChange event to perform edit option on the listbox and then save the file. trouble running smooth animation in thread only when using key listener

first time using a forum for coding help so sorry if i post this all wrong. i have more than a few classes i don't think screenManger or core holds the problem but i included them just incase. i got most of this code working through a set of tutorials. but a certain point started trying to do more on my own. i want to play the animation only when i'm moving my sprite. in my KeyTest class i am using threads to run the animation it used to work (poorly) but now not at all pluss it really gunks up my computer. i think it's because of the thread. im new to threads so i'm not to sure if i should even be using one in this situation or if its dangerous for my computer. the animation worked smoothly when i had the sprite bouce around the screen forever. the animation loop played with out stopping. i think the main problem is between the animationThread, Sprite, and keyTest classes, but itcould be more indepth. if someone could point me in the right direction for making the animation run smoothly when i push down a key and stop runing when i let off it would be greatly apriciated. i already looked at this Java a moving animation (sprite) obviously we were doing the same tutorial. but i feel my problem is slightly different. p.s. sorry for the typos. import java.awt.*; Please verify my layout: bottom button keeps coming up over keyboard

Hi everyone, I have a layout which does almost what I want. There's just one bug regarding the button at the bottom. I should stay at the bottom at all times. But whenever I bring up the soft-keyboard the button will be displayed above the keyboard. This is not what I want but it should become covered by the keyboard. Moreover, I'd be happy if you could comment on how the layout's built. CodeIgniter: Passing variables via URL - alternatives to using GET

I'm new to CodeIgniter and have just discovered the difficulties using the GET method of passing variables via the URL (e.g. domain.com/page.php?var1=1&var2=2). I gather that one approach is to pass the variables in the URI segments but haven't quite figured out how to do that yet as it seems to create the expectation of having a function in the controller named as the specific URI segment???? Anyway Instead of using GET I've decided to use POST by adapting a submit button (disguised as a link) with the variables in hidden input fields. I've created the following solution which seems to work fine, but am wondering whether I'm on the right track here or whether there is an easier way of passing variables via a link within CodeIgniter? Hi, I have made an bar RadChart with "SeriesOrientation="Horizontal"". I have the text showing at the end for each bars, but instead I would like that text to be listet in the y-axis, instead of the 1,2,3.. numbers. Winforms TabControl causing spurious Paint events for UserControl

For our project, we've written a WinForms UserControl for graphing. We're seeing some strange behavior when our control is sited in a TabControl - our control continuously fires Paint events, even when there is absolutely no activity by the user. We only see this in the TabControl. When we site our control in other containers such as Forms or Splitters, Paint is only fired when you'd expect e.g. when the control is first displayed, etc. Can anyone suggest why this might be happening? Word Spell Check pops up hidden and "freezes" my App

I am using Word's Spell Check in my in house WinForm app. My clients are all XP machines with Office 2007 and randomly the spell check suggestion box pops up behind the App and makes everything "appear" frozen as you cannot get at it. Suggestions? What do other people do to work around this or stop it altogether? WPF Memory Leak

I have an WPF form that I myself did not create, so I am not very good at WPF. It is leaking badly though, up to 400 MB and closing the form does not help. The problem lies in my application loading all the pictures at once. I would like to only load the ones visible at the moment. It is about 300 pictures and they are a bit large so my WPF-form suffers from loading them all. I have a DataTemplate with my own type that has a property Thumbnail. I'm using jQuery UI to switch the tabs on the location map/street view module. I've recently upgraded the Google Maps code as well as the Google Streetview code to version 3. So when I open it in Firefox, with Firebug on, as soon as I switch to the Streetview tab, the navigation and zoom in out controls show, but nothing shows.. and then when I try to drag the map around, it does not move around, but instead, causes errors in Firebug: "too much recursion". So it causes the whole browser to become buggy, slows down, and the errors happen, and nothing shows on the streetview pane. Most of the map loading code is located in inline Javascript on the page itself. I have a RadGrid with radio buttons on the inside of a FormTemplate. I want hide the panels below or show the panels below on checkchanged of the radio button. However, my issue is that i don't know how to access the panels oncheckchanged. Any help would be appreciate.
