    I have to tables ProdBiscuit As tb and StockData As sd , I have to get the sum of the quantity in StockData (quantite) with the condition of if (sd.status0 AND sd.prodid = tb.id AND sd.matcuisine = 3) Here is my sql query SELECT tb.id, tb.nom, tb.proddate, tb.qty, tb.stockrecno FROM ProdBiscuit AS tb JOIN (SELECT id, prodid, matcuisine, status, SUM(quantite) AS rq FROM StockData) AS sd ON (tb.id = sd.prodid AND sd.status > 0 AND sd.matcuisine = 3) LIMIT 25 OFFSET @Myid This gives me no rows at all ? There is only 3 rows in ProdBiscuit and 11 rows in Stockdata and there is only 2 rows in StockData good with the condition. And as shown in the picture there is only two rows which give the condition. What is wrong in my query ? PS: The green lines on the image shows the condition in my query.

    I have this terrible problem with IE 7/8/9. I wrote an app using Dojo toolkit 1.8.0 and Play! framework. It works fine in all browser except for IE. Its 'developers tools' show no error, so does firebug.     This is an extremely common situation, so I'm expecting a good solution. Basically we need to update counters in our tables. As an example a web page visit: Web_Page -------- Id Url Visit_Count So in hibernate, we might have this code: webPage.setVisitCount(webPage.getVisitCount()+1); The problem there is reads in mysql by default don't pay attention to transactions. So a highly trafficked webpage will have inaccurate counts. The way I'm used to doing this type of thing is simply call: update Web_Page set Visit_Count=Visit_Count+1 where Id=12345; I guess my question is, how do I do that in Hibernate? And secondly, how can I do an update like this in Hibernate which is a bit more complex? update Web_Page wp set wp.Visit_Count=(select stats.Visits from Statistics stats where stats.Web_Page_Id=wp.Id) + 1 where Id=12345;

    Hello, My source table looks like this Id StartDate 1 (null) 2 12/12/2009 3 10/10/2009 I want to create a select statement, that selects the above, but also has an additional column to display a varchar if the date is not null such as : Id StartDate StartDateStatus 1 (null) Awaiting 2 12/12/2009 Approved 3 10/10/2009 Approved I have the following in my select, but it doesn't seem to be working.   • How to get ImageButton size within Android GridView?

    I'm subclassing ImageButton in order to draw lines on it and trying to figure out where the actual button coordinates are within my gridview. I am using onGlobalLayout to setup Top, Bottom, Right and Left, but these seem to be for the actual "square" within the grid, and not the actual button (see image). The purple lines are drawn in myImageButton.onDraw() using coords gathered from myImageButton.onGlobalLayout(). I thought these would be for the button, but they seem to be from something else. Not sure what. I'd like the purple lines to match the outline of the button so the lines I draw appear on the button and not just floating out in the LinearLayout somewhere. The light blue is the background color of the vertical LinearLayout holding the Textview (for the number) and myImageButton. Any way to get the actual button size?     Hi guys, i'm trying to do a poll but i designed it without any radio box in it. So i decided to make the selection being highlighted with a different background color, all is done with jquery. I set the display of the radio box to none so that it wouldn't show, gave each a unique ID.     I have joined together several tables to get data i want but since I am new to SQL i can't figure out how to stop data being returned more than once. her's the SQL statement; SELECT T.url, T.ID, S.status, S.ID, E.action, E.ID, E.timestamp FROM tracks T, status S, events E WHERE S.ID AND T.ID = E.ID ORDER BY E.timestamp DESC The data that is returned is something like this; +----------------------------------------------------------------+ | URL | ID | Status | ID | action | ID | timestamp | +----------------------------------------------------------------+ | T.1 | 4 | hello | 4 | has uploaded a track | 4 | time | | T.2 | 3 | bye | 3 | has some news | 3 | time | | t.1 | 4 | more | 4 | has some news | 4 | time | +----------------------------------------------------------------+ That's a very basic example but does outline what happens. If you look at the third row the URL is repeated when there is a different status. This is what I want to happen; +-------------------------------------------------------+ | URL or Status | ID | action | timestamp | +-------------------------------------------------------+ | T.1 | 4 | has uploaded a track | time | | hello | 3 | has some news | time | | bye | 4 | has some news | time | +-------------------------------------------------------+ Please notice that the the url (in this case the mock one is T.1) is shown when the action is has uploaded a track. This is very important. The action in the events table is inserted on trigger of a status or track insert. If a new track is inserted the action is 'has uploaded a track' and you guess what it is for a status. The ID and timestamp is also inserted into the events table at this point. Note: There are more tables that go into the query, 3 more in fact, but I have left them out for simplicity.

  • Scalable way to store files on server (PHP)?

    I'm creating my first web application - a really simplistic online text editor. What I need to do is find the best way to store text based files - a lot of them. These text files can be past 10,000 words in size (text words not computer words.) in essence I want the text documents to be limitless in size. I was thinking about storing the text files in my MySQL database - but thought there was a better way. Instead I'm planing on storing the text files in XML based format in a directory on my server. The rows in the database define the name of the xml based text file and the user who created the text along with basic metadata. An ID is generated using a V4 GUID generator , which gives the text an id and stores the text in the "/store" directory on my server. The text definitions in my server contain this id, and the android app I'm developing gets the contents of the text file by retrieving the text definition and then downloading the text to the local device using the GUID in the text definition. I just think this is a botch job? how can I improve this system? There has been cases of GUID colliding. I don't want this to happen. A "slim" possibility isn't good enough - I need to make sure there is absolutely no chance in a GUID collision. I was planning on checking the database for texts that have the same id before storing the text with a particular id - I however believe with over 20,000 pieces of text in my database this would take an long time and produce unneeded stress on the server. How can I make GUID safe? What happens when a GUID collides? The server backend is going to be written in PHP.
