• Find telephonenumbers - finding number with and without an phone extension

  Hello there I've a table with about 130 000 records with telephonenumbers. The numbers are all formated like this +4311234567. The numbers always include international country code, local area code and then the phonenumber and sometimes an extension. There is a webservice which checks for the caller's number in the table. That service works already. But now the client wants that also if someone calls from a company which number is already in the database but not his extension, that the service will return some result. Example for table. **id** | **telephonenumber** | **name** | 1 | +431234567 | company A | 2 | +431234567890 | employee in company A | 3 | +4398765432 | company b now if somebody from company A calls with a different extension for example +43123456777, than it should return id1. But the problem is, that I don't know how many digits the extensions have. It could have 3,4 or more digits. Are there any patterns for string kind of matchings? The data is stored in a sql2005 database. Thanks

• Sort ranges in an array in google apps script

  I have a timesheet spreadsheet for our company and I need to sort the employees by each timesheet block (15 rows by 20 columns). I have the following code which I had help with, but the array quits sorting once it comes to a block without an employee name (I would like these to be shuffled to the bottom). Another complication I am having is there are numerous formulas in these cells and when I run it as is, it removes them. I would like to keep these intact if at all possible.   Hi I am reading the tutorials on w3cschools ( http://www.w3schools.com/schema/schema_complex.asp ) but they don't seem to mention how you could add restrictions on complex types. Like for instance I have this schema. <xs:element name="employee"> <xs:complexType> <xs:sequence> <xs:element name="firstname" type="xs:string"/> <xs:element name="lastname" type="xs:string"/> </xs:sequence> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> now I want to make sure the firstname is no more then 10 characters long. How do I do this? I tried to put in the simple type for the firstname but it says I can't do that since I am using a complex type. So how do I put restrictions like that on the file so the people who I give the schema to don't try to make the firstname 100 characters.

• Alternative to Altova's MissionKit

  Anyone know of any good alternatives (other than those listed below which really are only good at specific XML development tasks)? The Why (if you're interested): I've been doing XML development on and off for years now, but someone brought XMLSpy to my attention recently, and it is awesome - the price isn't. Lately I've been using a combination of: Notepad++ (modifying XML) EditX (validating/debugging XML) Eclipse (designing schemas) and MS Visual Studio (validating schemas) ...based on which makes the task(s) easiest. But, I've just found out that we will be using XSL transformations to generate XML in the future. I've never used mission kit before, but I'm just short of positive XMLSpy replaces all the above mentioned tool for XML development. And if their XSL tools are anywhere near the caliber of XMLSpy ...simply put I need it. I don't believe that I can convince the budgeting types to buy licenses for MissionKit at $1000 each (won't stop me from trying). In the mean while some research on alternatives won't hurt, but a few Google queries has only revealed that not many people pay for Altova's (overpriced?) software as there are mostly links to P2P sites for downloading a more free-like version of MissionKit.

When I open the WSDL in SOAP UI, then the arguments section is appearing like this: <!--Optional--> <arg0> <empID>?</empId> </arg0> <!--Optional--> <arg1> <empName>?</empName> </arg1> <!--Optional--> <arg2> <empAddress>?</empAddress> </arg2> <!--Optional--> <arg3> <empCountry>?</empCountry> </arg3> The service method takes the above 4 elements as the parameters to return the employee details. 1) I want to rename this arg0, arg1, and so on with some valid names. 2) I want to remove the <!--optional--> present above the arg tags. • Name resolution for the name <name> timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.

  Installed Windows 7 (previously ran XP and Vista with no problems) a couple of weeks ago and I'm at least once a day getting the above error show up in the event logs and losing all internet connection. The only current way to resolve it is to reboot my cable modem. My ISP have been running diagnostics on it and tell me there is no problem whatsoever. I've configured my router (and PC on occasion) to point at OpenDNS - still occurs. I've had the PC directly connected to the modem - still occurs. If I can give more info that might of use please ask thanks Update: After moaning at my ISP for a couple of weeks (VirginMedia) they agreed to send me out a new cable modem ... and I've not had the issue since.

• iPad connections to Cisco VPN error -- "Enter your user authentication"

  Is anyone else having problems with the iPad IPSec (Cisco) VPN configuration? I've configured a Cisco VPN connection to a PIX 501 firewall on a 32GB Wifi Apple iPad. This is done in Settings - General - Network - VPN - Add VPN Configuration - IPSec tab. When everything is set up properly and I attempt to connect I just get a popup that says "Enter your user authentication" with no fields to enter either piece of info, and just OK and Cancel buttons. I've read about similar problems with the VPN client built into Mac OS X and the iPhone 3GS but never with the iPad. Does anybody know a solution? I'm not afraid to change the configuration of my PIX 501 if that's necessary.

• Untrusted file not showing unblock button windows 7

  I downloaded a dll but cannot use it as it is considered untrusted. I opened it using: Notepad.exe filepath\filename:zone.identifier and it informed me that that the file was in zone 3. Despite this I do not get an unblock button in the properties page for the file. Not being able to unblock it with this button I instead changed the value in notepad and saved my changes. When I reopen the zone.identifier info it is as I left it. I have set it to both 2 (trusted) and 0 (no information), but still am unable to use the files. Any one have any ideas? If I cannot unblock the files I will investigate turning this blocking off, but as a first step I'd like to try and just unblock this one file. Note: using Windows 7 Ultimate edition. It is when using MSTest from within Visual Studio 2008 that I hit problems.

  I am seeing very, very sluggish performance between my web server (which handles HTTP web services connections) and a separate server running Microsoft SQL Server 2008. I have been capturing packet traffic on the web server trying to understand why things are running so slowly. I am using Wireshark to capture the packet traffic. The apparent problem is that the web server is sending TDS packets to the data server--each packet followed by a response from the data server with Response Packet [Malformed Packet] in the Info field. The packet sent from the web server appears to have an invalid checksum. Has anyone seen this type of problem before? Any ideas?

• virt-install error: Host does not support any virtualization options

  Completed CentOS 5.4 perfect install from howtoforge.com (ISPConfig 3). I have ISPConfig 3 deployed with a handful of sites. I installed xen: yum install xen kernel-xen i installed the recommended (linuxtopia.org) virtualization packages and started libvirtd yum install virt-manager libvirt libvirt-python libvirt-python python-virtinst i have damn small linux .iso in /root virt-install --name damnsmall --ram 16 --file=/var/lib/xen/images/damnsmall.img --file-size=1 --vnc --cdrom=/root/current.iso yields the error: ERROR Host does not support any virtualization options i have also tried this from GNOME (virt-manager) and i cant even add a connection. i read somewhere i need to reboot with the xen kernel--i dont think i want to do that--though, not really sure why. i need to keep ISPConfig untouched. Thanks in advance, and let me know if you need additional info

  I am looking for a good solution to collaborate on Microsoft Office documents, we currently just edit directly on a Samba share but it's one big mess because sometimes people leave the office with their laptops while docs are open so swap files remain there and then you nobody is sure what's going on. Is there any good and simple open source solution based on Linux? I've tried Alfresco but it is much more than what I need, we got an internal wiki for most collaboration and I just need some solution for the stuff we need to do in Microsoft Office (mostly Excel files, the rest is in the wiki) EDIT: Some more info as requested - we are very small group, 4 full time employees and a few freelancers. The best idea I've got so far is just managing it in a subversion repository with a Lock-Modify-Lock policy but I'd love to hear about better solutions. Thanks!

  Hi folks, I have an interesting database problem. I have a DB that is 150GB in size. My memory buffer is 8GB. Most of my data is rarely being retrieved, or mainly being retrieved by backend processes. I would very much prefer to keep them around because some features require them. Some of it (namely some tables, and some identifiable parts of certain tables) are used very often in a user facing manner How can I make sure that the latter is always being kept in memory? (there is more than enough space for these) More info: We are on Ruby on rails. The database is MYSQL, our tables are stored using INNODB. We are sharding the data across 2 partitions. Because we are sharding it, we store most of our data using JSON blobs, while indexing only the primary keys

• Where to find new Micro-BTX (uBTX) motherboards? Or should I just replace the box?

  OK, so I'm guessing that it's dead. It's not my machine, and the owner is on a very fixed (IE, none) income. I'm generous, but I'm not that generous, since I already gave him what (at the time) was a fully functional and fairly well-equipped machine. (Aside from the mobo and proc, almost nothing else in it was stock. I'd taken it up to 3GB of RAM, upgraded the hard drive, added a decent video card, installed a wireless adapter, running Vista, etc.) According to further research, the machine uses a Micro-BTX (uBTX) motherboard, and since it's an AMD Athlon64, the AM2 socket. So I'm looking at a few options, and am wondering what's the best route to take? Find an AM2 socket uBTX mobo. I can't find them new online anywhere, leading me to believe that this is an obsolete form factor/chip combination. I don't want a refurb or a system pull because, quite honestly, once I deal with this mess, I don't want to go through it again in another year or two. Find an Intel uBTX mobo and a (relatively -- hah, I still want at least a dual-core) inexpensive Intel CPU. At this point, the only things stock in the machine would be the case and the PSU. :) Buy a bare-bones kit (mobo/proc/PSU/case, sometimes even RAM) from somewhere like CompUSA/TigerDirect or Fry's and move all of the other hardware over. This makes life difficult because the copy of Vista is an upgrade, tied to the copy of XP which shipped on the Gateway, which is OEM and won't install on the new box. :) If I change the CPU brand (AMD to Intel), will I need to reinstall Windows, or can it just be reactivated? Where can I actually find a new, in-box, not system pull, not refurb AM2 uBTX mobo? Do they even exist anymore? What kind of money are we talking (US dollars)? The end goal is to get the machine functional again as cheaply as humanly possible. If it were my own machine, I wouldn't even be asking this, I'd be custom-building a new one. However, it's not mine, I'm shelling out of pocket for the fix (plus the work), and thus want to keep that end price low-low-low.

• External USB drive is failing

  I have an external USB 2.0 drive WD My Book Mirror Edition, running in RAID 1 (mirroring) mode. A while ago the hard drive started to fail: it stops responding (directories are not listed returning an error after a big timeout). Sometimes it works for weeks before a failure, sometimes – few hours. Small write operations (like removing few files or editing a small file) do not harm, but when copying large files to the drive over the network, or creating the archive locally, the kernel dumps. Also interesting to note that once kernel has failed, Linux does not want to reboot normally (reboot hangs); when Linux box is shutdown with power button, WD drive does not go to sleep mode (as it usually does): leds continue to run, pressing and holding the "shutdown" button on drive's back panel does not do anything; only unplugging the power cord helps. I have browsed and read similar error reports here and there and I tried: I have upgraded the kernel from v2.6.26-2 to 2.6.32-5, which has not solved the problem. They say, this might a cable problem. I have tried to replace the USB-to-miniUSB cable (that connects external drive with computer) with another one. No changes. Somebody suggests to try another USB port. I have only 4 external USB ports, tried another one with no success. They say to try uhci_hcd. I have unmounted the device, unloaded ehci_hcd and mounted again. The difference was that now in log I get reset full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 2 and similar kernel dumps after a while. They say to echo 128 > /sys/block/sdb/device/max_sectors. I tried it with ehci_hcd with no success (note: I have issued this command after the drive was mounted but before using it actively). I have lauched smartmond and checking periodically the output of smartctl: drive temperature is OK, number of bad sectors and uncorrectable errors is 0.   I'm trying to enable Global Queuing in passenger and i'm using Nginx. When i set the flag passenger_use_global_queue I get an error [emerg]: "passenger_use_global_queue" directive is not allowed here in nginx.conf:22". Does anyone know the propper place to put passenger_use_global_queue, or to get rid of the error message? • Assigning a home DNS to be secondary only?

  Hi. I have a small domain lab set up at home, including DNS/DHCP on the Win2008 server. I'd like to be able to refer to my domain clients by name, but I find that I get a slowdown when using an internal DNS. Win DNS refers to my ISP's upstream dns (I also tried Google's DNS servers for a little while) but it feels like there's an extra couple seconds for each request when I'm using anything except the DNS servers fetched via DHCP from my ISP. I tried adding my local DNS to my router's DHCP (Need to use router to fetch DHCP info from ISP, even though none of it ever changes, since I'm behind NAT) So, my question is: Is there any way to set my internal DNS server to be secondary to a dynamically retrieved upstream DNS? I want the internal server to be queried only if the ISP dns fails, or to be queried only for a certain TLD (.iv right now. I guess for best practices I should change it to .internal)

• F5 Big-IP iRule - HTTP Redirect

  I have just started to work with F5's Big-IP and I have a question about iRules and HTTP redirects. We are moving to offload our SSL from our web servers and onto the F5, our application as it stands enforces a number of pages on our site to only run in HTTPS. I want to move this from the APP and onto the F5 but I have not been able to figure our how, so as an example I would want anyone trying to login in to be forced to use HTTPS e.g. http://"mysite"/login.aspx = https://"mysite"/login.aspx. I have done some google searches that have come up with some good info on this but I have yet to find what I am looking for, if anyone has done this and wishes to share this with me that would be great
