  • Modifying JSF Component Tree in PhaseListener

    - by jamiebarrow
    Hi all, I'm having an issue. I've implemented a PhaseListener, which is meant to add a style class to any UIInput components in the tree that have messages attached to them, and removes the style class if it doesn't have any messages attached to them. The PhaseListener runs in the RENDER_RESPONSE phase, and does it's work in both the beforePhase and afterPhase methods while debugging. While debugging, I found that beforePhase doesn't have access to the full component tree, but afterPhase does. Any changes done in afterPhase aren't rendered though. How do I go about this? I want this to be completely server side. Thanks, James

  • Need help on Coda slider tabs to move inside an overflow:hidden div

    - by Reden
    I'm not too good at javascript. and hope I can get a bit of help. I'm using Coda Slider 2.0, and have designed it to where the tabs are another slider to the right of the main slider, and each item. Basically like this mootools plugin http://landofcoder.com/demo/mootool/lofslidernews/index2.1.html Problem is the items will not scroll. How do I make the items (or tabs to the right) scroll down as the slider rotates? Otherwise the slider will show the 4th slide but not scroll to the 4th item on the right, but Thanks everyone. Here is the Coda-Slider plugin: // when the DOM is ready... $(document).ready(function () { var $panels = $('#slider .scrollContainer > div'); var $container = $('#slider .scrollContainer'); // if false, we'll float all the panels left and fix the width // of the container var horizontal = true; // float the panels left if we're going horizontal if (horizontal) { $panels.css({ 'float' : 'left', 'position' : 'relative' // IE fix to ensure overflow is hidden }); // calculate a new width for the container (so it holds all panels) $container.css('width', $panels[0].offsetWidth * $panels.length); } // collect the scroll object, at the same time apply the hidden overflow // to remove the default scrollbars that will appear var $scroll = $('#slider .scroll').css('overflow', 'hidden'); // apply our left + right buttons $scroll .before('<img class="scrollButtons left" src="images/scroll_left.png" />') .after('<img class="scrollButtons right" src="images/scroll_right.png" />'); // handle nav selection function selectNav() { $(this) .parents('ul:first') .find('a') .removeClass('selected') .end() .end() .addClass('selected'); } $('#slider .navigation').find('a').click(selectNav); // go find the navigation link that has this target and select the nav function trigger(data) { var el = $('#slider .navigation').find('a[href$="' + data.id + '"]').get(0); selectNav.call(el); } if (window.location.hash) { trigger({ id : window.location.hash.substr(1) }); } else { $('ul.navigation a:first').click(); } // offset is used to move to *exactly* the right place, since I'm using // padding on my example, I need to subtract the amount of padding to // the offset. Try removing this to get a good idea of the effect var offset = parseInt((horizontal ? $container.css('paddingTop') : $container.css('paddingLeft')) || 0) * -1; var scrollOptions = { target: $scroll, // the element that has the overflow // can be a selector which will be relative to the target items: $panels, navigation: '.navigation a', // selectors are NOT relative to document, i.e. make sure they're unique prev: 'img.left', next: 'img.right', // allow the scroll effect to run both directions axis: 'xy', onAfter: trigger, // our final callback offset: offset, // duration of the sliding effect duration: 500, // easing - can be used with the easing plugin: // http://gsgd.co.uk/sandbox/jquery/easing/ easing: 'swing' }; // apply serialScroll to the slider - we chose this plugin because it // supports// the indexed next and previous scroll along with hooking // in to our navigation. $('#slider').serialScroll(scrollOptions); // now apply localScroll to hook any other arbitrary links to trigger // the effect $.localScroll(scrollOptions); // finally, if the URL has a hash, move the slider in to position, // setting the duration to 1 because I don't want it to scroll in the // very first page load. We don't always need this, but it ensures // the positioning is absolutely spot on when the pages loads. scrollOptions.duration = 1; $.localScroll.hash(scrollOptions); /////////////////////////////////////////////// // autoscroll /////////////////////////////////////////////// // start to automatically cycle the tabs cycleTimer = setInterval(function () { $scroll.trigger('next'); }, 2000); // how many milliseconds, change this to whatever you like // select some trigger elements to stop the auto-cycle var $stopTriggers = $('#slider .navigation').find('a') // tab headers .add('.scroll') // panel itself .add('.stopscroll') // links to the stop class div .add('.navigation') // links to navigation id for tabs .add("a[href^='#']"); // links to a tab // this is the function that will stop the auto-cycle function stopCycle() { // remove the no longer needed stop triggers clearInterval(cycleTimer); // stop the auto-cycle itself $buttons.show(); // show the navigation buttons document.getElementById('stopscroll').style.display='none'; // hide the stop div document.getElementById('startscroll').style.display='block'; // block the start div } // bind stop cycle function to the click event using namespaces $stopTriggers.bind('click.cycle', stopCycle); /////////////////////////////////////////////// // end autoscroll /////////////////////////////////////////////// // edit to start again /////////////////////////////////////////////// // select some trigger elements to stop the auto-cycle var $startTriggers_start = $('#slider .navigation').find('a') // tab headers .add('.startscroll'); // links to the start class div // this is the function that will stop the auto-cycle function startCycle() { // remove the no longer needed stop triggers $buttons.hide(); // show the navigation buttons $scroll.trigger('next'); // directly to the next first cycleTimer = setInterval(function () { // now set timer again $scroll.trigger('next'); }, 5000); // how many milliseconds, change this to whatever you like document.getElementById('stopscroll').style.display='block'; // block the stop div document.getElementById('startscroll').style.display='none'; // hide the start div } // bind stop cycle function to the click event using namespaces $startTriggers_start.bind('click.cycle', startCycle); /////////////////////////////////////////////// // end edit to start /////////////////////////////////////////////// });

  • CSS :after pseudo element on INPUT field

    - by matra
    I am trying to use :after CSS pseudo element on INPUT field, but it does not work. If I use it with SPAN, it works OK. <style type="text/css"> .mystyle:after {content:url(smiley.gif);} .mystyle {color:red;} </style> This works (puts the smily after "buu!" and berfore "some more") <span class="mystyle">buuu!</span>a some more This does not work - it only color someValue in red, but there is no smiley. <input class="mystyle" type="text" value="someValue"> What am I doing wrong? should I use another pseudo selector. Note: I can not add SPAN sround my INPUT; because it is being generated by a third party control. Matraj

  • Performance differences between iframe hiding methods?

    - by Ender
    Is there a major performance difference between the following: <iframe style="visibility:hidden" /> <iframe style="width:0px; height:0px; border:0px" /> I'm using a hidden iframe to pull down and parse some information from an external server. If the iframe actually attempts to render the page, this may suck up a lot of CPU cycles. Of course, I'd ideally just want to get the raw markup - for example, if I could prevent the iframe from loading img tags, that would be perfect.

  • How to avoid HTML Canvas auto-stretching

    - by Tom
    I have the following piece of HTML: <style type="text/css"> #c{width:200px;height:500px} </style> <canvas id="c"></canvas> <script type="text/javascript"> var i = new Image(); i.onload = function () { var ctx = document.getElementById('c').getContext('2d'); ctx.drawImage(i, 0, 0); } i.width = i.height = 20; // actual size of square.png i.src = 'square.png'; </script> The issue is that the drawn image is automatically stretched (resized) proportionally with the size of the canvas. I have tried using all available parameters (drawImage(i, 0, 0, 20, 20, 0, 0, 20, 20)) and that didn't help. What is causing my drawing to stretch and how can I prevent that? Thanks, Tom

  • Resizing JPopupMenu and avoiding a "flicker" issue

    - by Avrom
    Hi, I am trying to implement a search results popup list similar to the style found here: http://www.inquisitorx.com/ (I'm not trying to implement a Google search, I'm just using this as a rough example of the style I'm working on.) In any event, I am implementing this by using a JList contained within a JPopupMenu which is popped up underneath a JTextField. When a user enters search terms, the list changes to reflect different matching results. I then call pack on the JPopupMenu to resize it. This works, however, it creates a slight flicker effect since it is actually hiding the popup and showing a popup. (See the private method getPopup in JPopupMenu where it explicitly does this.) Is there any way to just get it to just resize itself (aside from using a JWindow)?

  • html horizontal scrolling

    - by mp
    Hi, i have a simple css example, and i can't understand the behavior of one of my divs, when the horizontal scroll is displayed. so...when my browser window needs to display the horizontal scroll(when the window width is less than my div "content" width(1024px)), my div "footer" (that have the same "content's" parent and 100% width), seems to get an "extra blank space" on the right side. this space grows when I reduce the width of the window. any ideas about how can i get it off, or why it happens??thanks! heres my code: css: <style type="text/css"> html, body { height: 100%; width:100%; font-family:"Arial Black", Gadget, sans-serif; font-size:11px; font-variant:normal; } * { margin: 0; } .wrapper { min-height: 100%; height: auto !important; height: 100%; margin: 0 auto -4em; } #content{ width:1024px; margin:0px auto; background-color:#990; height:780px; } .footer, .push { height: 4em; width:100%; } #footer-content{ height:10px; background-color:#09F; width:100%; } </style> html: <body> <div class="wrapper"> <div id="content"> <p>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. • Jquery UI accordion question - how would you approach this?

    - by E.J. Brennan
    I am using jquery UI accordion control in one of my apps asp.net apps. The data for the accordion comes from a database, and each database record has an ID, a Title Field and a content field. The title is the heading, and the content is the data that shows up when the draw is opened... I'd like to be able to call my page like this: http://www.mywebsite.com/mypage.aspx?ID=123 and have it display all the data (as it does now), but then have the default 'drawer' of the accordion open to the section that corresponds to the ID number passed in on the url...there are about 50 sections on the page. Any suggestions on how to approach this? My questions is specific to the jquery accordion function, the rest I know. So where would be the best place to 'tag' the drawer with the unique ID's, and then what is the snippet of javascript code (I assume) that I would use 'open' that drawer based on the ID passed in?? Thanks!

  • Can I get build warnings from a custom build step in Qt Creator?

    - by Derick
    I have the following script that I run as a custom build step in Qt Creator: git ls-files . | egrep "\.cpp$|\.h$" | xargs vera++ Which then gives output: foo/bar.cpp:1: no copyright notice found Another script I also use is: cppcheck . --template gcc -q --enable=style,unusedFunctions With the output: apple.h:8: style: The class 'MyPie' has no constructor. Member variables not initialized. I would love to double-click on the error and go to the source in the Compile Output window. It seems that only gcc errors are detected and these custom ones are ignored even though they have the same format.

  • Loading Files in AppEngine

    I've got a tiny bit of code to display a file in app.yaml - url: /(.*\.(gif|png|jpg)) static_files: static/\1 upload: static/(.*\.(gif|png|jpg)) in main.py ... class ShowImage(webapp.RequestHandler): def get(self): rootpath = os.path.dirname(__file__) file = rootpath + "/static/tracker.gif"; fh=open(file, 'r') self.response.out.write(fh.read()) fh.close ...   • jQuery without domready

    - by Happy
    Searching for a way to add this code, after the <head> (or some <link stylesheet>) and before <body> is generated (created). $('body').append('<style type="text/css">\ // some // multiline // styles </style>'); There is no <body> without domready(), so its seems better to use head instead or something else. Append also can be replaced. Anybody knows how to do that? Thanks.

  • XDoclet, a dead tool?

    - by Alban Soupper
    Hi all, I am using the latest Eclipse for Java EE & the latest JBoss Tools plugin. Now, I am working on some EJB 2.x code. I cannot find a way to generate the xdoclet-build.xml file like before. After some investigations, I begin to ask myself (and you) that is XDoclet still supported by the community: JBoss, Eclipse (WTP), etc. ? If yes, what is now the good way to use XDoclet to generate my old-style EJB Homes & Interfaces? Can XDoclet work using Java 5 style code? Thanks Alban.

  • Not able to show video with html5

    - by shin
    I am testing html 5 video tag. I am using http://www.kaltura.org/project/HTML5_Video_Media_JavaScript_Library and http://camendesign.co.uk/. I downloaded the creative common video. When I use an external link, it plays the video. So I uploaded the video to my server but it does not play. It asks if I want to save it or asking an application to play. When I go to the external link, http://cdn.kaltura.org/apis/html5lib/kplayer-examples/media/bbb400p.ogv, it plays it on the browser automatically. I also tested locally, but it does not play either. I am hoping someone gives me why and how to solve the problem. This code works. <figure> <video id="vid1" width="500" height="300" style="position:absolute" poster="http://cdn.kaltura.org/apis/html5lib/kplayer-examples/media/bbb480.jpg" durationHint="33" controls = "true"> <source src="http://cdn.kaltura.org/apis/html5lib/kplayer-examples/media/bbb400p.ogv" /> <source src="http://cdn.kaltura.org/apis/html5lib/kplayer-examples/media/bbb_trailer_iphone.m4v"/> </video> </figure> This does not. <figure> <video id="vid1" width="500" height="300" style="position:absolute" poster="http://cdn.kaltura.org/apis/html5lib/kplayer-examples/media/bbb480.jpg" durationHint="33" controls = "true"> <source src="http://www.mywebsite.com/media/bbb400p.ogv" /> <source src="http://www.mywebsite.com/media/bbb_trailer_iphone.m4v"/> </video> </figure> This does not work either. <figure> <video id="vid1" width="500" height="300" style="position:absolute" poster="http://cdn.kaltura.org/apis/html5lib/kplayer-examples/media/bbb480.jpg" durationHint="33" controls = "true"> <source src="http://127.0.0.1/html5videotest/media/bbb400p.ogv" /> <source src="http://127.0.0.1/html5videotest/media/bbb_trailer_iphone.m4v"/> </video> </figure>

  • C# console applications all 16bit?

    - by Jon
    Hi all, I was reading up about NTVDM.exe as I build a quick test console app and it crashed on a friends machine complaining about this EXE. As I understand it all DOS cmd windows (C# console apps included) run as 16bit not 32bit. Is this true? Does this mean all my works console app back office apps are running as 16bit rather than making the most of the 32bit available? What about Windows services? As I believe we wrote it as a console app then made it run as a windows service? Thanks

  • What kind of icon should I deploy with my Android 1.x and 2.x application?

    - by licorna
    The thing is this, in Android 1.5 and 1.6 we had the Icon Design Guidelines. In this guide there are specifications for application icons. Every application should conform to this. However, in recent Android versions (2.0 and 2.1) icons have changed from the old to this new flat 2D style. Every icon in Nexus One has this style, so not even Google is conforming to the guideline. To see the differences between high and low density icons see this image and compare Evernote icon with the rest. I've been able to use different icons by using two directories with different icons: drawables-hdpi/icon.png and drawables/icon.png, BUT not every Android 2.x is going to be HDPI and not every 1.x Android device is going to be low pixel density. So the question is: Should I deploy different icons for different Android platform version within my apk file? and if I should, How do I do it?

Do 'input" events not work with iframes WYSIWYG editors?
