  • Selenium-Nunit Program Structure

    My office has a suite of web reporting engines written in VB. All in all there's about 300 reports with varying displays depending on the data being input into them. I'm trying to establish an efficient way to deal with such a major diversity, but am struggling with creating a system that won't be a nightmare to code/maintain. What I've considered doing is: On program launch, read the steps required for each test page. This may have multiple tests for the same page with varying inputs. Write each iteration of the test in XML file under $env:temp/testname Use the TestCaseSource attribute of Nunit to funnel every related xml file as a source. My major stumbling block has been how to get that data to the Nunit framework. Is Nunit really appropriate for what I'm trying to do, or is it too static?

    Are there any tools that are capable of editing code but in different language? To be more concrete, I want to parse java source file in editor, compile it to my language X, edit in X and compile back to java on save. Or edit pom.xml file using non-XML syntax. Which editor or IDE would be easiest to use for implementing such prototype? Option to transform only a snippet would be ideal to limit effort on parsing. For one example, Intellij IDEA can display anonymous class so it looks like lambda expression hiding some of boilerplate.

    The problem here is the ProfileCatalog.xml file refers to the old assesmbly namesdlls. It does not get updated when the assembly names change. Steps to fix this issue: 1. Open the ProfileCatalog.xml file in the Shell project, and you'll find there are three ModuleInfo configuration items that need to have the solution name prefixed. 2.     I have a question about the meta tag content-type. When starting to build my site (HTML+PHP+JS), I copied a lot of the meta tags over from elsewhere, and I have, amongst others, the following: <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="application/xhtml+xml; charset=iso-8859-1" /> Now, I've seen that tag is being used a lot with the value "text/html". I've been searching the web but could not find a comprehensive explanation regarding what the difference between both is. The "text/html" intuitively sounds more straightforward to me. Should I change my tag to that, or might the "application/xhtml+xml" be an equivalent solution ? Alternatively, can anyone point me to a resource where the different values for these tags are listed and explained in a clear manner? Thanks in advance

  • WCF Routing Service Filter Generator

    Recently I've been working with the WCF routing service and in our case we were simply routing based on the SOAP Action. This is a pretty good approach for a standard redirection of the message when all messages matching a SOAP Action will go to the same endpoint. Using the SOAP Action also lets you be specific about which methods you expose via the router. One of the things which was a pain was the number of routing rules I needed to create because we were routing for a lot of different methods. I could have explored the option of using a regular expression to match the message to its routing but I wanted to be very specific about what's routed and not risk exposing methods I shouldn't via the router. I decided to put together a little spreadsheet so that I can generate part of the configuration I would need to put in the configuration file rather than have to type this by hand. To show how this works download the spreadsheet from the following url: https://s3.amazonaws.com/CSCBlogSamples/WCF+Routing+Generator.xlsx In the spreadsheet you will see that the squares in green are the ones which you need to amend. In the below picture you can see that you specify a prefix and suffix for the filter name. The core namespace from the web service your generating routing rules for and the WCF endpoint name which you want to route to. In column A you will see the green cells where you add the list of method names which you want to include routing rules for. The spreadsheet will workout what the full SOAP Action would be then the name you will use for that filter in your WCF Routing filters. In column D the spreadsheet will have generated the XML snippet which you can add to the routing filters section in your configuration file. In column E the spreadsheet will have created the XML snippet which you can add to the routing table to send messages matching each filter to the appropriate WCF client endpoint to forward the message to the required destination. Hopefully you can see that with this spreadsheet it would be very easy to produce accurate XML for the WCF Routing configuration if you had a large number of routing rules. If you had additional methods in other services you can simply copy the worksheet and add multiple copies to the Excel workbook. One worksheet per service would work well.

  • PCI hotplug doesn't seem to work

    In virsh I detach a PCI bus from host and attach it to a VM. I don't see any errors in these steps. But I don't see the PCI device listed in the VM. virsh # nodedev-dettach pci_0000_01_00_0 Device pci_0000_01_00_0 dettached virsh # attach-device VM1 pci_add.xml Device attached successfully $ cat pci_add.xml <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='pci' managed='yes'> <source> <address domain='0x000' bus='0x01' slot='0x00' function='0x0'/> </source> </hostdev> Is PCI hot plug not supported? I am using Ubuntu 12.04.3(kernel 3.8.0-34). I can add the same PCI device through virsh edit VM1 and start the VM1. This way I am able to see the device.

  • Moved sitemaps to a different subdomain and losing search referrals around the same time. Red herring or correlation?

    We started to lose search referral traffic around the same time that I moved some of our sitemaps to a subdomain. Could this have hurt us? I followed Google's steps to creating a sitemap under a different subdomain. The new sitemaps.foo.com subdomain is being crawled and indexed well. Both www.foo.com and sitemaps.foo.com have been verified in Google Webmaster Tools. They appear as distinct sites. Is this correct? I can't find a way in Webmaster Tools to say "Hey, sitemaps.foo.com is really owned by www.foo.com, so show them together and make sure to attribute sitemaps.foo urls to www.foo" Our www.foo.com/robots.txt Sitemap: http://www.foo.com/sitemap.xml Sitemap: http://sitemaps.foo.com/subdir/sitemap.xml.gz

It's currently indexing them on it's own time I believe which is every 2 - 3 days and when working in music and media I need to have the latest post fairly quickly. My robots.txt file is. User-agent: * Disallow: /wp-admin/ Disallow: /wp-content/ Disallow: /wp-includes/ sitemap: http://vipes.us/sitemapindex.xml If I am understanding this correctly, I would put this URL into Google http://vipes.us/sitemapindex.xml. But in doing so I still only get some of my pages indexed?

  • Getting started with SOAP [closed]

    A site I developed has a new requirement to get weather data from the National Weather Service. They have quite a bit of info on how to use SOAP to get their data and display it in the browser, but what we need to do is use a cron job to get the data at specific intervals, then parse the data out into a database. I have no problem writing PHP code that will run an XSLt and parse xml records out into SQL queries, but I have no idea how to handle this with SOAP (which I've never worked with.) Do I get the data via a SOAP request, save it to an XML file on my web server, then run the XSLt against that? Or is there some other way to go about this?

  • How to configure a longer version Number in artifactory

    The version-numbers for our jars have to be longer them x.x.x. We would rather need x.x.x.x to integrate some old-fashioned self-made mechanism. This is, because we tag our software with x.x.x and as soon as we have a delivery to a customer one specific jar has to be build exactly at this point of time to fit to another backend, which communicates with our program. For that reason this one jar has the version 2.3.4.1, when generated and in next delivery of the same Version it is build and named 2.3.4.2. Now artifactory cannot handle this an doesn't save more than x.x.x.2 in some cases. So we thought of maybe edit the regular expression in the maven repository layout (see attached Screenshot) Because testing the path in the field below shows, that it cannot handle the version number. Of course for the rest of our jars still x.x.x has to work.. For Example here is the maven-metadata.xml <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <metadata> <groupId>com.firm</groupId> <artifactId>someid</artifactId> <version>1.5.1</version> <versioning> <latest>1.5.1</latest> <release>1.5.1</release> <versions> <version>1.4.62</version> </versions> <lastUpdated>20120926073942</lastUpdated> </versioning> </metadata> The folder structure looks like: someid 1.4.62 1.4.62.1 1.4.62.2 1.4.62.3 If we deploy an new artifact version (1.4.62.1), the maven-metadata.xml contains the 1.4.62.1 version. But the artifactory overrides the version number (1.4.62.x) to (1.4.62) after an unspecified time. It seems that the artifactory only support major, minor and revision numbers, and deletes the buildnumber. Now we looking for a solution do disable this behavior. We use the JFrog Artifactory version 2.5.0 (rev. 13086). Any ideas, maybe? Thanks in andvance

    I'm trying to configure an ejb3 sample application, it's entities where mapped to postgres now I want the app run on Jboss4.3 and Informix using JPA.   • AndroMDA maven code generation and JPA Annotations

    I am using the AndroMDA plugin for maven to generate code from an uml diagram made in MagicDraw. When the code is generated, AndroMDA desings the JPA annotation for the persitence layer. I think that at the compilation process AndroMDA uses Naming Strategies to determine the Table and Column names for the DataBase. I want to determine how AndroMDA desings this JPA annotations, because I need to display this DataBase names based on the UML entity and atributtes names. I was regarding if there is an API of AndroMDA that I could use to do this by giving it the uml diagram. Or at least, to know the Naming Strategies used by AndroMDA to achive that. AndroMDA at the compilation process design the JPA annotations for the Entities, Attributes, etc that are written in my java classes under a series of rules that exist within the EJB3 cartridge of AndroMDA. (The further Database is created using those JPA annotations). I want to create a program that returns me the same Table and Attributes names wrote on the JPA annotations, by giving it the .xml file of the uml diagram of a project. I was hoping that I could take advantage of the EJB3 cartridge to generate those Tables and Attribute names with my program. One way could be using an API of AndroMDA that do this(if it exits), or at least, by implementing the same rules used by the EJB3 cartridge for that matter. To be more illustrative, For example: If in my uml model I have an Entity called “CompanyGroup”, AndroMDA would generate the following code for the class definition: @javax.persistence.Entity @javax.persistence.Table(name = "COMPANY_GR") Public class CompanyGroup implements java.io.Serializable, Comparable< CompanyGroup This is just an example (not a real case), but nevertheless, the way how AndroMDA do the translation from “CompanyGroup” to “COMPANY_GR” has to be specified somewhere.     I'm learning how unit testing is done in Rails, and I've run into a problem involving Authlogic.     Hi all, I'm having a problem with a WCF Service and Java Client, I will try to give as much information as i can, thanks for your time. The Endpoint of the server is BasicHttpBinding, I tried hosting the server as a Windows Service and in IIS but nothing changed. The weird thing is that the Client works great if I use a simple class, in the moment I switch the class to an JApplet I get the problem mentioned. I'm using Eclipse as an IDE, I tried Axis and Metro to generate the stub with the same bad results.   • Websphere 7 EntityManagerFactory creation problem

    Hello, I'm working on a maven project which uses seam 2.2.0, hibernate 3.5.0-CR-2 as JPA provider, DB2 as database server and Websphere 7 as application server. Now I'm facing de following problem: In my EJBs that are seen also as SEAM components I want to use the EntityManager from EJB container (@PersistenceContext private EntityManager em) not Seam's EntityManager (@In private EntityManager em). But this is the problem, I cannot obtain an EntityManager using @PersistenceContext. On server logs it sais that it cannot create an EntityManagerFactory and gets a ClassCastException: java.lang.ClassCastException: org.hibernate.ejb.HibernatePersistence incompatible with javax.persistence.spi.PersistenceProvider After a lot of debugging and searching on forums I'm assuming that the problem is that Websphere doesn't use the Hibernate JPA provider. Has anyone faced this problem and has a solution? I configured already WAS class loader order for my application to load the classes with the application class loader first and I\ve packed all necessary jars in application ear as written in: WAS InfoCenter: Features for EJB 3.0 development . If necessary I'll post my persistence.xml, components.xml files and stack trace.     I have the following class that implements IXmlSerializable. When implementing WriteXml(), I need to handle the case where the string members of this class may be null values. What is the best way of handling this? Currently, I am using the default constructor in which all the string properties are initialized to empty string values. This way, when WriteXml() is called, the string will not be null. One other way I could do this is check using String.IsNullOrEmpty before writing each string in xml.
