  • Match returning a string instead of object

    - by Pablo
This simple regex matching returns a string instead of an object on every browser but the latest firefox... text = "language. Filename: My Old School Yard.avi. File description: File size: 701.54 MB. View on Megavideo. Enter this, here:" name = text.match(/(Filename:)(.*) File /); alert(typeof(name)); as far as i know this the match function is suppose to return an object (Array). Has anyone come across this issue?

  • advancedDatagrid multipleSelection: Was a row already selected?

    - by Werner
    Hi, after multiple Selection in a advanced datagrid, I want to check if the clicked row, was already selected. Anyway my idea below (in the nested if clause I want to check if the newly clicked item's processing data is already in the added Array Collection) is not working, but I assume there must be a better way to differiante if an click was made on a already selected row. Probably I was not as clear in my description as needed, please ask your questions! Thank you very much, already in advance, Werner model.processingData = out; if (model.selectedIndices.length > 1){ //check if item already added var tempInt:int = model.multipleProcessingData.getItemIndex(model.processingData); if (tempInt == -1){ model.multipleProcessingData.addItem(model.processingData); } } else{ model.multipleProcessingData.removeAll(); model.multipleProcessingData.addItem(model.processingData); }

  • SQLite and PostgreSql longtext

    - by Nik
Hello all, Does anyone know how to change a column in SQLite and PostgreSQL to LONGTEXT? I have done so in MySQL successfully with: "ALTER TABLE projects MODIFY description LONGTEXT;" But this clause doesn't seem to work on SQLite. I tried hard to find documentation on PostgreSQL, but that site's format really makes people puke. SQLite's website is better but the only command I find relevant, alter table, doesn't seem to support changing column data type at all. ( infact, it doesn't even allow changing column name!!!) Thanks all!

  • arbitrary typed data in django model

    - by Dmitry Shevchenko
I have a model, say, Item. I want to store arbitrary amount of attributes on it, like title, description, release_date. And i want them to be not just strings but have python type, so string, boolean, datetime etc. What are my options here? EAV pattern with separate name-value table won't work because of the same DB type across all values. JSONField can probably help, but it doesn't know about datetime, for example. Also i was looking at PickeField, it fits perfectly, but i'm a bit concerned about performance.

  • VB.net 'cross-referencing' tables.

    - by Lee
Hello, I have a DataGridView that is being filled with data from a table. Inside this table is a column called 'group' that has the ID of an individual group in another table. What I would like to do, is when the DataGridView is filled, instead of showing the ID contained in 'group', I'd like it to display the name of the group. Is there some type of VB.net 'magic' that can do this, or do I need to cross-reference the data myself? Here is a breakdown of what the 2 tables look like: table1 id group (this holds the value of column id in table 2) weight last_update table2 id description (this is what I would like to be displayed in the DGV.) take care, lee BTW - I am using Visual Studios Express.

  • What can explain std::cout not to display anything ?

    - by Benoît
For whatever reason, std::cout does not display anything with my application. The description of my development environment follows. I am working on a Qt application using Qt Creator. Since Qt Creator can't be launched from my station (XP64), i am currently developping it with Visual Studio 2008 and the Qt plugin (by importing the .pro project file). Everything seems fine and the application works. In some cases (depending on command line arguments), i don't want to launch the HIM, just to display a few sentences in the CLI (command line required arguments, for instance). I don't get any error, but nothing is displayed. The corresponding code, which i am sure is run is the (classical) following : std::cout << "is this going to be displayed ?" << std::endl; Do you have any idea why nothing is displayed ?

  • Browser back button creating problem

  • .NET framework: new features

    - by Budda
Few weaks ago I've changed target .NET framework for my application to the 4th version. Recently my resharper told me that my variable "MetaDescription" hides property 'string System.Web.UI.Page.MetaDescription' After small investigation the peace of code that worked earlier: HtmlMeta MetaDescription = new HtmlMeta(); MetaDescription.Attributes.Add("name", "description"); MetaDescription.Attributes.Add("content", ((IFriendlySEO)Page).DescriptionString); Header.Controls.Add(MetaDescription); was replaced with much more readable: MetaDescription = ((IFriendlySEO)Page).DescriptionString; (same for MetaKeywords). Question: is there any useful source that can give a list of such new features? Thanks.

  • Silverlight 3-4 reference kind (e-)book.

    - by Bubba88
Hello! I'm looking for a source of information about Microsoft Silverlight to begin practically efficient programming custom functionality applications. I want to pretend just for now that I don't need any ideologically correct refresher (SL tips, top patterns, VS tutorials :) and etc.). Basically, what I want is a reference kind e-book, where I could find any practically relevant info outlined in a minimalistic manner. If you do remember something fitting the above description, I ask you to give me a hint. Thank you very much!

  • MySQL slow query

The zip_code table has over 40k records and this might be the issue. It currently takes up to 15 seconds to return a list of about 20 items! What can I do to make this query more efficient?

  • Django save, column specified twice

    - by realshadow
Hey, I would like to save a modified model, but I get Programming error - that a field is specified twice. class ProductInfo(models.Model): product_info_id = models.AutoField(primary_key=True) language_id = models.IntegerField() product_id = models.IntegerField() description = models.TextField(blank=True) status = models.IntegerField() model = models.CharField(max_length=255, blank=True) label = models.ForeignKey(Category_info, verbose_name = 'Category_info', db_column = 'language_id', to_field = 'node_id', null = True) I get this error because the foreign key uses as db_column language_id. If I will delete it, my object will be saved properly. I dont quite understand whats going on and since I have defined almost all of my models this way, I fear its totally wrong or maybe I just missunderstood it... Any ideas? Regards

  • Is it considered a good/bad practice to configure tomcat for deploying certain apps?

    - by Roman
Disclaimer: I've never used technique which is described below. That's why there may occur some mistakes or misunderstandings in its description. I heard that some teams (developers) use 'pre-configured' tomcat. As I understand they add different jars to tomcat \lib folder and do something else. Once I've read something about recompilation (or reassembly?) of tomcat for certain needs. Just yesterday I heard a dialog where one developer sayd that his team-mates were not able to deploy the project until he would give them configured tomcat version. So, I wonder, what is it all about and why do they do it? What benefits can they gain from that?

I am passing a string and have tried to use an explicit string and I still get error 9. I am creating the share remotely rather than on local machine however. Not sure if that matter.

  • Dynamicly Inject img alt attribute jQuery

Any help would be awesome, I am kinda lost at this juncture.

  • How does load balancing work with multiple server with multiple DBs

    - by Matt
I guess what im looking for is a description on how this all works together. I'm used to setting up one server with maybe another server to handel the DB. My question is how does the load balancer work where do all the script(php, python) files go? If i make a change to one i have to rsync them to all the server that the balancer refers to? Also does each server need client side DB's installed so they can reference the DB's that are on other servers? If there is a site that explains all this i would be happy to read it.

  • Using hash functions with Bloom filters

    - by dangerstat
Hi, A bloom filter uses a hash function (or many) to generate a value between 0 and m given an input string X. My question is how to you use a hash function to generate a value in this way, for example an MD5 hash is typically represented by a 32 length hex string, how would I use an MD5 hashing algorithm to generate a value between 0 and m where I can specify m? I'm using Java at the moment so an example of to do this with the MessageDigest functionality it offers would be great, though just a generic description of how to do about it would be fine too. Thanks

    - by Igor Romanov
I had a problem with accepting invalid SSL certificate in my iPhone program. That problem is solved now, however I came to understanding that I have very abstract idea on how exactly the whole thing is working: how web browser is verifying that received certificate is really for host it communicates to and not faked by same party in the middle? if browser talks to some 3rd party (CA?) to do certificate check? and many other questions... Would someone please recommend good source of information with in-depth enough description of how all parts click together?

  • I need help on my C++ assignment using Microsoft Visual C++

    - by krayzwytie
Ok, so I don't want you to do my homework for me, but I'm a little lost with this final assignment and need all the help I can get. Learning about programming is tough enough, but doing it online is next to impossible for me... Now, to get to the program, I am going to paste what I have so far. This includes mostly //comments and what I have written so far. If you can help me figure out where all the errors are and how to complete the assignment, I will really appreciate it. Like I said, I don't want you to do my homework for me (it's my final), but any constructive criticism is welcome. This is my final assignment for this class and it is due tomorrow (Sunday before midnight, Arizona time). This is the assignment: Examine the following situation: Your company, Datamax, Inc., is in the process of automating its payroll systems. Your manager has asked you to create a program that calculates overtime pay for all employees. Your program must take into account the employee’s salary, total hours worked, and hours worked more than 40 in a week, and then provide an output that is useful and easily understood by company management. Compile your program utilizing the following background information and the code outline in Appendix D (included in the code section). Submit your project as an attachment including the code and the output. Company Background: Three employees: Mark, John, and Mary The end user needs to be prompted for three specific pieces of input—name, hours worked, and hourly wage. Calculate overtime if input is greater than 40 hours per week. Provide six test plans to verify the logic within the program. Plan 1 must display the proper information for employee #1 with overtime pay. Plan 2 must display the proper information for employee #1 with no overtime pay. Plans 3-6 are duplicates of plan 1 and 2 but for the other employees. Program Requirements: Define a base class to use for the entire program. The class holds the function calls and the variables related to the overtime pay calculations. Define one object per employee. Note there will be three employees. Your program must take the objects created and implement calculations based on total salaries, total hours, and the total number of overtime hours. See the Employee Summary Data section of the sample output. Logic Steps to Complete Your Program: Define your base class. Define your objects from your base class. Prompt for user input, updating your object classes for all three users. Implement your overtime pay calculations. Display overtime or regular time pay calculations. See the sample output below. Implement object calculations by summarizing your employee objects and display the summary information in the example below. And this is the code: // Final_Project.cpp : Defines the entry point for the console application. // #include "stdafx.h" #include <iostream> #include <string> #include <iomanip> using namespace std; // //CLASS DECLARATION SECTION // class CEmployee { public: void ImplementCalculations(string EmployeeName, double hours, double wage); void DisplayEmployInformation(void); void Addsomethingup (CEmployee, CEmployee, CEmployee); string EmployeeName ; int hours ; int overtime_hours ; int iTotal_hours ; int iTotal_OvertimeHours ; float wage ; float basepay ; float overtime_pay ; float overtime_extra ; float iTotal_salaries ; float iIndividualSalary ; }; int main() { system("cls"); cout << "Welcome to the Employee Pay Center"; /* Use this section to define your objects. You will have one object per employee. You have only three employees. The format is your class name and your object name. */ std::cout << "Please enter Employee's Name: "; std::cin >> EmployeeName; std::cout << "Please enter Total Hours for (EmployeeName): "; std::cin >> hours; std::cout << "Please enter Base Pay for(EmployeeName): "; std::cin >> basepay; /* Here you will prompt for the first employee’s information. Prompt the employee name, hours worked, and the hourly wage. For each piece of information, you will update the appropriate class member defined above. Enter the employee name = Enter the hours worked = Enter his or her hourly wage = */ /* Here you will implement a function call to implement the employ calcuations for each object defined above. You will do this for each of the three employees or objects.
