  • Output Caching with IIS7 - How To for an dynamic aspx page?

    I have a RetrieveBlob.aspx that gets some query string variables and returns an asset. Eeach url corresponds to a unique asset. In the RetrieveBlob.aspx a Cache Profile is set. In Web.Config the profile looks like (under system.web tag: <caching> <outputCache enableOutputCache="true" /> <outputCacheSettings> <outputCacheProfiles> <add duration="14800" enabled="true" varyByParam="*" name="AssetCacheProfile" /> </outputCacheProfiles> </outputCacheSettings> </caching> Ok, this works fine. When I put a breakpoint in the code behind of RetrieveBlob.aspx, it gets triggered the first time, and all the other times not.     I have created a nunit project(NunitLoginTest.nunit) by selcting my test project in the nunit\bin directory and now I am trying to load that project but it is giving me the following error. Unable to load Because it is not located under Appbase, could not load file or assembly "nunitLogintest" or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the specified path Can any one have any idea what is it related to. I also have checked my config file.

  • Best Open Source Project Hosting Site

    I want to start an open source project, but the rise in hosting sites leaves me a little paralyzed with choice. I know a little about several: I never really liked SourceForge's UI but it still feels like the site I think of when I think "open source project hosting". Google Code Project Hosting looks clean and useful but doesn't seem as feature complete as SourceForge. I've heard good things about Launchpad but don't know much about it nor do I know Bazaar (though I'd be interested in learning it). I know almost nothing about GitHub and, like Bazaar, I don't know Git. Does anyone have any experience with these sites or some other cool code host? Any recommendations?   • why is my emacs yanking the wrong text?

    running emacs 22... on ubuntu 9.04, fresh install. When I copy a region of text via C-w (clipboard-kill-ring-save) then yank it back with C-y (clipboard-yank) it pastes random stuff, from some other buffer that isn't even open. It was working fine earlier today and I haven't changed my emacs config. Any ideas why this is suddenly happening/ how to fix it? Thanks!

  • Google Wave as code repository and IDE?

    Is it possible to write a Google Wave plugin that turns it into an IDE for programming? With such an extension, Google Wave would be a replacement for Eclipse etc., and it would naturally be a code repository at the same time (replacing SVN, git, etc.). Users (programmers) would be able to create code files directly in Wave and add collaborators to do pair programming etc. The whole codebase would live in a Wave folder, and an extension would do the building and compiling on the fly. How would one go about writing such an extension?

  • Publishing WCF .NET 3.5 to IIS 6 (Windows Server 2003)

    I've been developing a WCF web service using .NET 3.5 with IIS7 and it works perfectly on my local computer. I tried publishing it to a server running IIS 6 and even though I can view the WSDL in my browser, the client application doesn't seem to be connecting to it correctly. I launched a packet sniffing app (Charles Proxy) and the response for the first message comes back to the client empty (0 bytes). Every message after the first one times out. The WCF service is part of a larger application that uses ASP .NET 3.5. That application has been working fine on IIS 6 for awhile now so I think it's something specific to WCF. I also tried throwing an exception in the SVC file to see if it made it that far and the exception never got thrown so I have a feeling it's something more low level that's not working. Any thoughts? Is there anything I need to install on the IIS5 server? If so how am I still able to view the WSDL in my browser?     At my company we are trying to add code reviewing practices into our development process and for that purpose we decided to use Review Board. While Review Board should work out of the box for Subversion the workflow for Mercurial looks a little bit involved. Firstly it seems that only post reviewing(via post-review script) is supported for this type of repo. Secondly documentation is unclear whether post-review actually supports Mercurial(it only mentions git). Could you folks describe your workflow in detail please? Am I right in my thinking it should be something like this: Developer: clone master repo clone feature repo from local master repo hack-hack in feature repo commit into feature repo somehow run post-review from feature repo against parent master repo Reviewer: review diff if OK then pull to the master repo from the feature repo

  • What are the performance implications of wildcard mapping all requests through IIS 6.0?

    I am interested in using UrlRewriter.NET and noticed in the config page for IIS 6.0 on Win2k3, that they say to map all requests through the ASP.NET ISAPI. That's fine, but I am wondering if anyone has good or bad things to say about this performance wise? Is my web server going to be dragged down to its knees by doing this or will it be more of a small step up in server load? My server currently has room to breathe now, so some performance hit is expected and acceptable.

    I feel like this question has been repeated here, but I couldn't find it. What open-source programmer's editor or IDE is best for writing code in C? A GUI and integration with Clang for static code analysis or git for version control would be convenient, but aren't necessary. I would ideally use two editors: one feature-filled IDE and one with a small memory footprint, but editors like jEdit, Geany, Diakonos, nano, etc. don't satisfy many of my needs, which include: Good support for refactoring and code completion. Extensibility in C or a "modern" scripting language (i.e. Ruby or Python) Relatively good performance and lack of bloated-ness

    I have a custom timer that extends android.os.CountDownTimer. I have a test in the test project (standard Android/Eclipse project config) that tests the custom Timer. When I try to run this test, I get a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: android/os/CountDownTimer at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method) at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader.java:698) You get the idea. Can I not run code that references android code code in junit test?

    I'm trying to do a left join in subsonic 3 using linq but it doesn't seem to work, I get a big error. var post = from p in Post.All() join q in Quote.All() on p.ID equals q.PostID into pq where p.ID == id.Value from qt in pq.DefaultIfEmpty() select new {p, qt}; I'm using subsonic 3, latest GIT version from Rob, but I'm getting an error, see below, when I try a left join. I have searched but I didn't found any solution. Can anyone explain to me why the error and how to fix it? I want something like that for each in settings module or INSTALLED_APPS (not starting with django.* or 3rdparty.*) give me a auto documentation output based on docstring and autogen documentation and run tests before git commit btw. I tried doing .rst files by hand with .. automodule:: module_name :members: but is sucks for such a big project, and it does not works for settings Is there an autogen method or something? I am not tied to sphinx, is there a better solution for my problem?

    Hi guys, I've got a problem running a batch job on my server, whereas it runs fine from Eclipse on my development workstation. I've got my Spring environment set up using Roo, made an entity, and make a batch that does some work, and test it well on my develompent box. I initialize my context and do the work, but when I run my batch on the server, the context isn't initialized properly.   • XCode project compiling

    Hi, I get the chromium source and I am able to compile it fine under MaxOS X. My question is why every time I power off my laptop and then re-open my XCode project and click 'Build and Go (Debug)', XCode recompiles EVERYTHING (even I have not modified any file). Is there any way to config to compile when needed? Thank you for any suggestion.
