  • Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 Find and Replace ALT-F not working

    I'm using a demo of Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 and I've notice that they no longer open the Find and Replace in a separate window. The problem with this, at least on Windows 7, is that I can't use the normal hotkey shortcuts like ALT-F because its being intercepted by the main Window and brings up the file menu drop down. Is there a fix for this?

  • Permissions changed after Mail.app and associated data crash

    Hi there, I experienced a major Mail.app crash on Snow Leopard couple of days ago. It took me hours to be able to make the folder structure usable again by Mail. I changed permissions back to 755 for all subfolders starting from and including ~/Library/Mail Mail now works again but settings such as folder order in the left side bar and mail ordered by date in some folders don't persist anymore. Any idea? Thxs for help

  • How to fix Visual Studio 2008 freeze?

    My Visual Studio 2008 freezes under some conditions. First, after a restart it is fine, but once it starts updating IntelliSense and counting down items it stops on the same number (the number slightly changed with further changes in the project). After that I get a sure freeze for: right-click in the code to get a context-menu changing from Debug to Release and vice versa quitting visual studio After a freeze I have to kill the process. Any idea what is wrong here?

  • Windows XP: Make Google Chrome's minimize, restore and close buttons match other programs?

    I like the way Google Chrome puts the tabs above the address bar, but I don't like the way the minimize, restore, close buttons are a different shape to every other program's. It means that if I sit the mouse in the top corner and minimize everything, I find that I've restored Chrome, not minimized it. Is there any way to get these buttons to a normal shape and size? That's Firefox in front, looking normal, like every other program, and Chrome above and behind, with the buttons at an off-standard position and size.

    Hi All, i am getting the following error while upgrading the server from ESX3.5i to ESX3.5.. and the server gets Stuck. it says : Starting System Management Homepage:.......ok Starting HP Insight Manager Agents: ipmi_si : servching for PCI device 0x3302 ipmi_si : Trying "Kcs" at memory address 0xf7ef.... ipmi_si : Found PCI BMC at BAR address 0xf7ef.... In try_get_dev_id And the server gets stuck, had anyone seen this and how to resolve this? Thanks, Amit

    I would like to create an alternative booting possibility in my GRUB menu that does not start some services (listed by chkconfig) like cups. I would use this boot during travel where I surely does not need these services and shorter bootup time is preferable. Permanent removal of such services is not an option because I could not miss them during normal daily work. I use Mandriva 2010 with the latest updates.

  • avoiding console window display when scheduled task runs batch file

    Hello I have a small batch file which xcopies some files from one folder to another which I've scheduled (via windows scheduled tasks) to run every 1 hour: @echo off xcopy c:\foo c:\bar /E /C /F /Y Since this is my workstation, I'm most probably doing work when the task executes, and then the black dos console window is displayed (lasts 2-3 seconds) and steals window focus. I don't wish to see the files copied and of course the batch file does not ask for any user input. Is there a way to avoid displaying the console completely? thanks

    Hi Gods, We have windows server 2003 with isa 2004. Our clients uses internet with proxy. We have two isa rule: order name action protocolls from/listener to condition 1. trafic ALLOW all outbound all networks all networks all users 2. FTP ALLOW FTP Server EXTERNAL/INTERNAL/Local host 10.1.1.1 So we have to "bann" a few webpage (like facebook, youtube...etc...), so we make a new rule 0. banned DENY HTTP internal denied pages all users In the denied pages we have the *.facebook.com domain set. After we enable this rule, the entire internet slows down. The banning rule works well, redirect to an internal site, but the other sites.... If i open a page..it normally takes 3-10 sec to load, but after this rule this time is: 2-4 minutes.     When I'm browsing I always use the address bar to search, but when I do this in Internet Explorer 10, I get taken to the default search engine Bing. So I started looking in the Internet Options to see if I could change it, but I couldn't find the right option. There's no clear way to add Google from this screen and when I clicked: Find more search providers..., you get taken to IE Gallery where Google isn't even listed. So how do I change my Internet Explorer 10 search engine to Google?
