    I am trying to use TimeSpan as a parameter type for an action in a controller, but the value is always now, so I presume it is not parsed correctly by MVC. The value that gets sent to it is "7:00 PM". Is it possible to make MVC support such format? I am using MVC 2.

    On iOS, I am looking for the proper way to return the URLs for a list of files that are in a directory. /images 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg ... I know the URL for the directory and know all the files in the directory will be of type jpeg. It is not clear to me how to properly format the NSURLRequest to return the list of files in the images directory. Once the list is returned, I will iterate through it to return the individual images.

    So I know that App Engine prevents working with images greater than 1 MB in size, but I'm getting a RequestTooLargeError when I call images.resize on an jpg that is 400K on disk. The dimensions of the jpg are 1600 x 1200, so is it that app engine can't handle resizing images over 1 megapixel, even if the image file itself is a compressed format that is smaller than 1 MB?

If it's matched then i need to extract the first $abc and the last #xyz, all that using pure javascript and maybe regex.     Is there any way to persuade Eclipse to use tabs instead of spaces for indenting its built-in Java content assist proposals (such as when creating an empty method which overrides a method in the parent class)? The only setting I could find that looked relevant is in Windows/Preferences/General/Editors/Text Editors/Insert spaces for tabs, and this setting is unchecked. At the moment I have to remember to select them and re-format with <Ctrl>+<Shift>+<F>.

    Hi all, I'd like to determine the environment's current codepage at runtime from a Unix shell script. What's the most reliable way of doing this? I'm looking into parsing environment variable $LC_ALL, but it isn't always set to a useful value, and its format seems to vary (can be <locale, or <locale.<code page, or <locale.<code page@<modifier etc...). Is there a better way? I'm essentially after a shell equivalent of what I'd get if I called nl_langinfo(CODESET) from C.

    I have a file saved as UTF-8, and i'm reading it like this: ReadFile(hFile, pContents, pFile->nFileSize, &dwRead, NULL); (pContents is a BYTE* of size nFileSize) its just a small file with 100 bytes or so, contains text which i want to read into memory in wchar_t* format, so i can set the text of edit and static controls with the unicode text. How can i convert the bytes to UTF-8? edit (i don't want to use fstream or wfstream)
