  • How can I install an application on iPhone automatically?

    - by D33pN16h7
Hello, I need a way to install a distribuible application without user intervention, of course I currently have a distribution profile installed on my device (I can install or uninstall the application by means of iTunes or iPCU), the problem remain on the side of automation "no user intervention is required", basically I need to develop a software (maybe hack iTunesMobileDevice.dll) that install the application when a valid device (the one with a valid distribution profile) is connected to one machine (application server), so any ideas??.... Thanks in advance!

  • why my iphone device and simulator has different screen resolution?

    - by happyzone8
i use itouch 4G has my device and i use simulator-4.2 i will just draw a rectangle as an example. i use Quartz-2d to draw - (void)drawRect:(CGRect)rect { // Get a graphics context, saving its state CGContextRef context = UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext(); CGContextSaveGState(context); // Reset the transformation CGAffineTransform t0 = CGContextGetCTM(context); t0 = CGAffineTransformInvert(t0); CGContextConcatCTM(context,t0); // Draw a green rectangle CGContextBeginPath(context); CGContextSetRGBFillColor(context, 0,1,0,1); CGContextAddRect(context, CGRectMake(0,0,320,480)); CGContextClosePath(context); CGContextDrawPath(context,kCGPathFill); CGContextRestoreGState(context); } i run it in the simulator, the whole screen becomes green, then i run this on my device, only the quarter of the screen becomes green, in order to make the whole screen green on my device, i have to draw a larger rectangle CGContextAddRect(context, CGRectMake(0,0,640,960)); seem like my device has twice resolution than the simulator, how can i fix this?

  • iPhone app -- are plists the way to handle default values and other languages?

    - by d_CFO
I wrote my first program almost fifty years ago (yes, coding is still a blast, managing big projects with many programmers was not), but my Von Neumann thinking gets in the way. I want to (a) load default values and (b) account for multiple languages more elegantly (?) than 60-plus iterations of NSLocalizedString. Can I park all of this data into what amounts to a record with fields like this: (key value stuff), (tweak-able user prompt / screen name / whatever), (tasteful default), (user-supplied value)? NSUserDefault has worked well so far; Core Data looks like overkill (?), and sql lite, well, where's Oracle when you need it?

  • iPhone. How to get the rect of parent view?

    - by flexbyte
Hi, My application creates two views: topView (CGRect = 0,0, 320,60) bottomView (CGRect = 0,60, 320,480) Bottom view creates UITabBarController with UIViewControllers: ListViewController etc... ListViewController has own views that are created in viewDidLoad method: background = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithFrame: rect ]; So my question is how to get the bottomView rect inside ListViewController? I want to layout all controller views without intersection with topView. Thank you.

  • Is it possible to make the iPhone keyboard invisible / remove it without resigning first responder?

    - by Alex Gosselin
I am looking for a way to show my own input view (a UITableView) to enter certain keywords in a UITextView faster than typing them, and also be able to type into this text view the normal way. My solution has a button that causes the keyboard to disappear, revealing the table view underneath it. Problem is I can't figure out how to make the keyboard go away without resigning first responder, and losing the cursor. Has anyone accomplished this before? Thanks for any help.

  • How do I display and calculate numbers from a database on iPhone?

    - by JoshD
I am new to designing apps and have a basic understand of Ob-C and how everything works. What I would like to do is have two tabs, one is a home screen that displays numbers and percentages that are entered on the second tab. The user will be able to store that information and refer back to it and update it. What is the best way to complete that math from the database to the "home screen"? Any tutorials, advice is great! Thanks.

  • When empty field comes, removed the row in the Grouped Table view in iPhone?

    - by Pugal Devan
Hi friends, I have displayed the datas in grouped table view. The data's are displayed in the table view from XML parsing. I have 2 section of the table view, the section one has three rows and section two has two rows. section 1 -> 3 Rows section 2 - > 2 Rows. Now i want to check, if anyone of the string is empty then i should remove the empty cells, so i have faced some problems, if i have removed any empty cell, then it will changed the index number. So how can i check, anyone of the field is empty?, Because some times more number of empty field will come, so that the index position will be change. So please send me any sample code or link for that? How can i achieve this? Sample code, - (NSInteger)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView numberOfRowsInSection:(NSInteger)section { if (section == 0) { if([userEmail isEqualToString:@" "] || [phoneNumber isEqualToString:@" "] || [firstName isEqualToString:@" "]) { return 2; } else { return 3; } } if (section == 1) { if(![gradYear isEqualToString:@" "] || ![graduate isEqualToString:@" "]) { return 1; } else { return 2; } return 0; } Please Help me out!!! • (iphone) am I creating a leak when creating a new image from an image?

    - by Eugene
Hi, I have following code as UIImage+Scale.h category. -(UIImage*)scaleToSize:(CGSize)size { UIGraphicsBeginImageContext(size); [self drawInRect:CGRectMake(0, 0, size.width, size.height)]; // is this scaledImage auto-released? UIImage* scaledImage = UIGraphicsGetImageFromCurrentImageContext(); UIGraphicsEndImageContext(); return scaledImage; } I use image obtained as above and use it as following. UIImage* image = [[UIImage alloc] initWithData: myData]; image = [image scaleToSize: size]; <- wouldn't this code create a leak since image(before scaling) is lost somewhere? i guess above codes work fine if image was first created with auto-release. But if image was created using 'alloc', it would create a leak in my short knowledge. How should I change scaleToSize: to guard against it? Thank you

    - by user312917
I have alot of wav files stored in sqlite3, but when I retrieve one of them, I can't play it. The retrieve code is NSData *soundData = (NSDATA *)sqlite3_column_blob(statement, 0); mPlayer = [[AVAudioPlayer alloc] initWithData:soundData error:&error]; The data is stored as binary and it's there when I search for it using sqlite3.
