  • Changing custom cell appearance when entering editing mode

    Hi, I have a table with custom cells, that I built in IB. When entering editing mode, content of all cells is moved to show delete edit control. My question is where can I adjust the cell appearance before entering editing mode? I saw that willBeginEditingRowAtIndexPath function is supposed to let adjust the UI, but seems I don't get there at all. Please help, TIA

  • How to resolve CGDirectDisplayID changing issues on newer multi-GPU Apple laptops in Core Foundation

    In Mac OS X, every display gets a unique CGDirectDisplayID number assigned to it. You can use CGGetActiveDisplayList() or [NSScreen screens] to access them, among others. Per Apple's docs: A display ID can persist across processes and system reboot, and typically remains constant as long as certain display parameters do not change. On newer mid-2010 MacBook Pro's, Apple started using auto-switching Intel/nVidia graphics. Laptops have two GPU's, a low-powered Intel, and a high-powered nVidia. Previous dual-GPU laptops (2009 models) didn't have auto-GPU switching, and required the user to make a settings change, logoff, and then logon again to make a GPU switch occur. Even older systems only had one GPU. There's an issue with the mid-2010 models where CGDirectDisplayID's don't remain the same when a display switches from one GPU to the next. For example: Laptop powers on. Built-In LCD Screen is driven by Intel chipset. Display ID: 30002 External Display is plugged in. Built-In LCD Screen switches to nVidia chipset. It's display ID changes: 30004 External Display is driven by nVidia chipset. ...at this point, the Intel chipset is dormant... User unplugs External Display. Built-In LCD Screen switches back to Intel chipset. It's display ID changes back to original: 30002 My question is, how can I match an old display ID to a new display ID when they alter due to a GPU change? Thought about: I've noticed that the display ID only changes by 2, but I don't have enough test Mac's available to determine if this is common to all new MacBook Pro's, or just mine. Kind of a kludge if "just check for display ID's which are +/-2 from one another" works, anyway. Tried: CGDisplayRegisterReconfigurationCallback(), which notifies before-and-after when displays are going to change, has no matching logic. Unfortunately, it does not return YES if GPU's have changed for a monitor. I can, theoretically, compared just the DisplayProductID and DisplayVendorID keys, but I'm writing end-user software, and am worried of a situation where users have two or more identical monitors plugged in. Any help is greatly appreciated! :)

My effort is to make the changes to the player through javascript so that the page doesn't refresh. This code is working, but it refreshes every time. I've read a couple pages that referenced refreshing the DOM after the javascript runs, but I haven't been able to successfully do it (I know enough about javascript to hack things around and get stuff working, but not enough to create whole new things). It is worth noting that Silverlight doesn't work with Internet Explorer 8 or Safari (not sure if it's my code, mejs, or the browsers). Also, neither Silverlight nor Flash play mp3 or webm (again, not sure where the problem lies). Is there a way to dynamically load different types of files into mediaelement?

    Hi have noticed today whilst writing a simple iPhone app that Xcode sometimes starts a new folder in applications, whilst your still working on the same app. /Users/Fuzzygoat/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/User/Applications/4E5EF4F0-F410-46A6-888C-0D23BB97D2DC Does anyone know what causes Xcode to swap to a new app folder (i.e. the one named "4E5EF4F0-F410-46A6-888C-0D23BB97D2DC") EDIT_001: One thing I have noticed is that I have been doing a lot of quitting an application and restarting to check a set of archive methods, and that does tend to confuse it sometimes. A couple of times it has not found saved data, I guess this is just a side effect of constantly running the simulator over and over via Xcode. Things seem to go just fine if I test on the Simulator without Xcode, for a start the folder keeps the same name. NB: I am using NSSearchPathForDirectoriesInDomains to get the documents folder each time. gary

    As the title says, how does one change the behaviour of emacs forward-word function? For example, suppose [] is the cursor. Then: my $abs_target_path[]= abs_path($target); <M-f> my $abs_target_path = abs[_]path($target); I know I could just use M-f M-b but as far as I'm concerned, that shouldn't be necessary and I'd like to change it. In particular, I want two things: When I press M-f, I want to go to the first character of the next word regardless of whether the point is within a word, within a group of spaces or somewhere else. Customize word-characters on a mode-by-mode basis. After all, moving around in CPerl mode is different than, say, TeX mode. So, in the above example, item 1 would have the cursor would move to the 'a' (and the point to it's left) after hitting M-f. Item 2 would allow me to define underscores and sigils as word characters.

  • My images aren't updating immediately upon changing their src in javascript

    I'm using the function below to change the img src. It's an array of ten images. When going through the loop, using break points, the images don't all update on the page immediately. Some of them do. If I inspect the unchanged images on the page (while paused at a breakpoint), the src has changed, but the image hasn't changed yet. All of the unchanged images get updated correctly when the function ends. Anyone know why they don't all get updated instantly and how I can force them to update? Also, is there a way I can hold off the updates of all of them until they're all reassigned and thus have them all update on the "simultaneously"?     Hey all- I have a MySQL table that defines values for a specific customer type. | CustomerType | Key Field 1 | Key Field 2 | Value | Each customer type has 10 values associated with it (based on the other two key fields). I am creating a new customer type (TypeB) that is exactly the same as another customer type (TypeA). I want to insert "TypeB" as the CustomerType but then just copy the values from TypeA's rows for the other three fields. Is there an SQL insert statement to make this happen?     Hi, I'm having an issue with the ContentPresenter behaving unexpectedly based on whether the styles are located in the Window.Resources or in a ResourceDictionary. Specifically, I'm setting the Foreground of the default TextBlock to Black, then setting the Foreground value in my default button style to White.     I'm working with ASP.NET MVC 2. I have a bunch of partial views that I render based on different conditions within the same controller. I'd like to not put the physical partial view files in with the controller's other views. I know that when I want a ViewResult using the View() or PartialView() methods the default view engine will search through the folder in the Views directory associated with the controller (i.e. if my controller is called Register it will look in the Register folder under Views) and also in the Shared folder. Is there any way to change this behavior, or perhaps tell it specifically where to look for the view -- heck, even give it a specific file to render? Is that possible? Perhaps even a sub-folder under the Shared folder will work...

    I know I should generally avoid messing up with such system settings, but my application do already use nonstandard colors and I have no influence on that. I would like to be able to add standard .NET controls in some places, but their colors do not match. I would like to have a hack that would replace system colors for this one application. One more important thing to note is that it is a .NET application. My (incomplete) ideas so far were: To create a proxy User32.dll library with replaced GetSysColor, but it would be very tedious (731 functions to be redirected, 1 to be replaced) and I do not know how to force my application to use that particular copy. To intercept somehow invocations to GetSysColors (unfortunatelly it is somewhere in the CLR I think). To modify somehow .NET class SystemColors (in memory? is it possible?). Do you have any idea, what is the best (and complete) way to achieve this?

    I have a Stored Procedure as follows: CREATE PROC [dbo].[Incidents] (@SiteName varchar(200)) AS SELECT ( SELECT SUM(i.Logged) FROM tbl_Sites s INNER JOIN tbl_Incidents i ON s.Location = i.Location WHERE s.Sites = @SiteName AND i.[month] = DATEADD(mm, DATEDIFF(mm, 0, GetDate()) -1,0) GROUP BY s.Sites ) AS LoggedIncidents 'tbl_Sites contains a list of reported on sites. 'tbl_Incidents containts a generated list of total incidents by site/date (monthly) 'If a site doesnt have any incidents that month it wont be listed. The problem I'm having is that a site doesnt have any Incidents this month and as such i get a NULL value returned for that site when i run this sproc, but i need to have a zero/0 returned to be used within a chart in SSRS. I've tried the using coalesce and isnull to no avail. SELECT COALESCE(SUM(c.Logged,0)) SELECT SUM(ISNULL(c.Logged,0)) Is there a way to get this formatted correctly? Cheers, Lee

    I am working on a standard header/navigation for my website. I started with having a CSS "height" value of 100% for the html, body elements but this resulted in the wrong layout. However, when I change the CSS height property from "100%" to "auto", the layout is correct, but I lose the anchors in the navigation. Why is this? I compared the computed CSS in Firebug when the html, body height property was set to "auto" vs. "100%" and they were the same.     Initial Research I am aware of using .css() to get and set the CSS rules of a particular element. I have seen a website with this CSS: body, table td, select { font-family: Arial Unicode MS, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; } I never liked Arial Unicode as a font. Well, that was my personal feel. So, I would use Chrome's Style Inspector to edit the Arial Unicode MS to Segoe UI or something which I like. Is there anyway, other than using the following to achieve the same? Case I $("body, table td, select").css("font-family", "Segoe UI"); Recursive, performance intensive. Doesn't work when things are loaded on the fly. Case II $('<style>body, table td, select {font-famnily: "Segoe UI";}</style>') .appendTo("head"); Any other better method than this? Creates a lot of <style> tags!

    Hello, So i am attempting to make a MasterMind program as sort of exercise. Field of 40 picture boxes (line of 4, 10 rows) 6 buttons (red, green, orange, yellow, blue, purple) When i press one of these buttons (lets assume the red one) then a picture box turns red. My question is how do i iterate trough all these picture boxes? I can get it to work but only if i write : And this is offcourse no way to write this, would take me countless of lines that contain basicly the same. private void picRood_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { UpdateDisplay(); pb1.BackColor = System.Drawing.Color.Red; } Press the red button - first picture box turns red Press the blue button - second picture box turns blue Press the orange button - third picture box turns orange And so on... Ive had a previous similar program that simulates a traffic light, there i could assign a value to each color (red 0, orange 1, green 2). Is something similar needed or how exactly do i adress all those picture boxes and make them correspond to the proper button. Best Regards.
