And what I find suspicious is the following error in my app log: .NET Runtime Optimization Service (clr_optimization_v2.0.50727_32) - Failed to compile: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Binn\VSShell\Common7\Tools\VDT\DataProjects.dll . Error code = 0x8007000b In MS connect this is reported as a bug but MS is unable to reproduce the problem altough when you search the fora I'm not the only one with this problem. So any help is appreciated.

• How do I install MATLAB R2012a?

  I have downloaded MATLAB R2012a for Unix platform and i want to install it on my ubuntu 11.10. To install i try this command: /<matlab_installation_file_directory>/install and it says: install: missing file operand According to it's manual i must give it an input file, So i create an input file like this to install in 'Stand Alone' mode: destinationFolder=usr/local/R2012a fileInstallationKey=xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx agreeToLicense=yes outputFile=/tmp/mathworks_usr.log mode=interactive activationPropertiesFile=home/.../lic_standalone.dat Acctually i'm not sure in "activationPropertiesFile" field what file is required, so i supposed it requires license file. I saved this file as txt format in the same directory which installation files are. Then i tried this command: install -inputFile my_input_file.txt and it gets this error: install: invalid option -- 'i' I know there is some helps in other websites and also some questions here about this topic, but i can't figure out what's the problem, Please help me, i'm a real noob on linux .   I am looking for a simple way to install a mail server on my Ubuntu server. I would like to be able to receive and send emails though a webmail (e.g. roundcube). I have a domain name. The web server already works without any problem. When I googled "simple method to install mail server on Ubuntu", I arrive on blogs with literally hundreds of steps to install a mail server: A Mailserver on Ubuntu 12.04: Postfix, Dovecot, MySQL Creating a Mail Server on Ubuntu Postfix But, for sure I will make a mistake, if I follow those tutorials, and it will be very very time consuming. Most of the steps look very easy to automate, though. I've try several install methods: sudo apt-get install dovecot-postfix sudo tasksel install mail-server But from there, I have no idea how to add email accounts, and test if it actually works. Do you know if there is an automated way to install a mail server?

• NVIDIA 560 TI driver install ubuntu 14.04 leads to "missing on display" error

  Currently on my Ubuntu 14.04 install, I boot it up install the latest updates and attempt to install the NVIDIA drivers from xorg-edgers while following the top answer on this post Installing Nvidia Drivers It installs 304 for my card and when I check the "glxinfo | grep OpenGL" I have about 8 lines that read Xlib: extension "NV-GLX" missing on display ":0". I did the "sudo apt-get install nvidia-current" to get the latest. I install it but didn't see any errors in the terminal. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here. I'm not a complete beginner with Linux so I can find my way around just fine but I can't find a solution to this issue. Should I have done one of these two instead? sudo apt-get install nvidia-304 sudo apt-get install nvidia-graphics-drivers-304

• How to invoke make install for one subdirectory of Qt project

  I'm working on custom library and I wish users could just use it by adding: CONFIG += mylib to their pro files. This can be done by installing mylib.prf file to %QTDIR%/mkspec/features. I've checked out in Qt Mobility project how to create and install such file, but there is one thing I'd like to do differently. If I correctly understood the pro/pri files of Qt Mobility, inside the example projects they don't really use CONFIG += mobility, instead they add QtMobility sources to include path and share the *.obj directory with main library project. For my library I'd like to have examples that are as independent projects as possible, i.e. projects that can be compiled from anywhere once MyLib is compiled and installed. I have following directory structure: mylib | |- examples |- src |- tests \- mylib.pro It seems that the easiest way to achieve what I described above is creating mylib.pro like this: TEMPLATE = subdirs SUBDIRS += src SUBDIRS += examples tests:SUBDIRS += tests And somehow enforce invoking "cd src && make install" after building src. What is the best way to do this? Of course any other suggestions for automatic library deployment before examples compilation are welcome.

  Hi, I want track install referer for my application using google analytics. I don't want use the Tracking Pageviews and Events feature, only install. For the Pageviews and Events tracking it's here : tracker.start("UA-YOUR-ACCOUNT-HERE", this); But as thew readme says : (NOTE: do not start the GoogleAnalyticsTracker in your Application onCreate() method if using referral tracking). But with referer where do I put my id ? And what is the url to watch in the google analytics console ? Thx

  I'm trying to find a good Java cms, I've stumbled uppon some that are quite good like: Apache Lenya, dotCMS, Info Glue, Open Edit, MMBase, Contelligent, Hippo CMS Which on do you guys recommend, or even one that I'm missing, because I have some more that I am studying at the moment. The requirements are that I can build modules for it with ease, and that it is open source and free, and with LDAP support. The problem is that I'm not that into Java in web, that's why I'm having trouble finding a good one. One Java cms like dotNetNuke would be the best.   I'm looking for a solid open-source commenting engine written in PHP. It needs to have workflow/moderation capabilities as well. I've checked into Disqus, and while I like the concept, the site owner's may develop their own login system at a later point, which would have to integrate with the comment system. Also, I'm not sure that they want the comments hosted remotely. Does anyone have any recommendations that I might look into? Alternatively, if you have experience with Disqus, what do you like/dislike about it?

  Does anyone know of any active open source projects working on political campaign management software? I looked on sourceforge but didn't see anything relevant from the queries "political", "politics", "donations", "campaign", or in the categories "accounting", "politics" or "voting". I'm involved with a political campaign that is currently paying out the nose for some horribly designed SaaS (whose Name i Guess i should Protect, ahem) to basically just keep track of donations people have made now, donations people have made in the past, donations people have pledged to make, contact information, the way they will likely vote, etc. It's a bit much to manage in spreadsheets, but doesn't seem like it's something complex enough that political campaigns should have to pay for (especially low-budget local ones). I'd love to help out if such a project exists, or start/revive one if it doesn't. Any hints, places to look, etc are much appreciated.

  I am looking for an Open Source alternative to SAAS provided by lablife.org website. Main purpose of the service is to automate daily tasks for life science laboratory. This service was free and nice to use, but when the original company developing this service was bought by BioData they kind of decided to kill and replace it with a new service called labguru. Apparently, a new service has a lot of functionality missing or just bad. That's why I am on a search for an alternative solution.   I have a line number of a Java source file and want to get the sourounding method for that line number programatically. I looked into ANTLR which didn't help me much. Janino (http://www.janino.net) seems promising, I would scan and parse (and if necessary compile) the code. Then I could use JDI and ReferenceType.locationsOfLine(int lineNumber) Still I don't know how to use JDI for doing this and didn't find a tutorial that goes anywhere in this direction. Maybe there is some other way that I am completely missing.

  Hi I'm due to take up a project which is into data mining. Before I jump in I wanted to probe around for different data mining tools (preferably open source) which allows web based reporting. In my scenario the all the data would be provided to me, so I'm not supposed to crawl for it. In n nutshell, am looking for a tool which does - Data Analysis, Web based Reporting, provides some kind of a dashboard and mining features. I have worked on the Microsoft Analysis Services and BOXI and off late I have been looking at Pentaho, which seems to be a good option.   I am Netbeans user for PHP. I have installed Netbeans IDE 6.8. Everything is working well. There is an option in SOURCE -- FORMAT. This action formats the code properly. It is quite handy. Unfortunately, this functionality is not working for me. Whenever some php code comes in between, it additionally adding some empty rows in between and making it more untidy. Can you please help to set up the same functionality. Restore the settings to default.

  I've been working on an open source project on sourceforge a few months ago. One thing I noticed is that a well written summary could make a huge difference for the product. I literally saw traffic going to almost nothing when I made a poor change to project summary. One more thing I noticed is that not only summary has to be appealing, but also take into consideration some technical aspects, such as (for example): contain all the necessary keywords for it to be searchable and produce the best match for a hypothetical search potential user will make in order to find it. Here comes the question now: can you share your tips and tricks for writing an efficient product summary, and otherwise promoting your project, whether it's on sourceforge or somewhere else?

• Open Source CMS with linked sub-sections and users

  I work at a small college that wants to make "sites" for all of the academic departments (~30). I managed to talk them out of their original idea: 30 individual Wordpress installations. What a maintenance nightmare! What I'm looking for is a CMS (preferably Python or PHP, as those are my areas of expertise) that can automagically create a subsection (or subsite, whatever the appropriate vernacular) complete with user and a couple of headings based on a template. So, I could just click a button and have a new subsection for a new department complete with its own authorized user, and default subsection headings/menu/pages. Is this just wishful thinking? I don't mind getting my hands dirty (this would be the whole of my job duties), so what platform would be a good starting point for something like this? Open source is a must for me as I have literally no budget, and I'm probably going to have to dig pretty deep into the application.

  Hi Our company uses some third party vendors to write some of our external facing web sites, however with one vendor we keep experiencing over inflated charges for simple changes and it has been decided to bring the product in-house. I have been tasked to provide a list of deliverables/checkpoints that would form a part of the agreement. what is the minimum you would expect if you are purchasing the source code of a product that you have paid for the development of, should we expect code for any custom libraries they may be using that were written not for us etc.. This is all written in .net so i am well aware we could just get the code via reflector, however i dont think my boss would go for this ;-)
