  • Update music file details - Java.

    Hi all, Well, I'm a music fan guy, and now with my 18000 music collection, it's getting very hard to maintain. So, I would like to ask I could of question to help to write an app to maintain it for me. 1- How can I access a music file and read details of it? I mean, I would like to write some code and passing the directory, my app would read all the music files (understand mp3 files) and with that I would like to access details like title, artist, length and so on... 2- Is there a public source that I could access and update my file? A webservice somewhere that I could connect, query some information based on song name, or artist or whatever. I would like to achieve a final result of given a directory, my app would read the file, collect some information and query the source for a complete list of detail and update my file. Thank you guys for any help...

  • Streaming data to the browser as a file of unknown size

    I have some data which is queried from the database and I'd like to send it to the client as a csv file. The file size varies each time due to the fact that the DB data returned can be of any size. Instead of saving this file to the hard disk, I'd like to send it to the browser at the same time it's being processed into a CSV by my algorithm. Response.Write seems useless. For some reason, the file download dialog is only displayed once my processing is finished. This seems odd as I'm writting all my output to the Response.Output stream. I have downloaded files on the web before where the filesize is not known and the browser just keeps on downloading. Is there any way to achieve this?     Hi guys, Last week while i was working on WYSIWYG - cKeditor. a question came in my mind. Is there any way to extract or pull out the content of doc or docx file into the blogger or wordpress text area. For instance, we need not to select and copy the text or images from doc(x) file.   • C Question: How to store data inside the executable file

    Hello all, complete newbie here, I need to find a way to store 250 KB of plain text numbers inside my program's executable file. Usually, I would put the data in a separate file and let the program read it while it is running, but that's not an option here. Instead, the program and the data need to be in one executable file. I have absolutely no idea how to do it (except writing 250.000 #defines :-) and I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thank you very much!

    Take a simple XML file formatted like this: <Lists> <List> <Note/> ... <Note/> </List> <List> <Note/> ... <Note/> </List> </Lists> Each node has some attributes that actually hold the data of the file. I need a very quick way to count the number of each type of element, (List and Note). Lists is simply the root and doesn't matter. I can do this with a simple string search or something similar, but I need to make this as fast as possible. Design Parameters: Must be in java (Android application). Must AVOID allocating memory as much as possible. Must return the total number of Note elements and the number of List elements in the file, regardless of location in file. Number of Lists will typically be small (1-4), and number of notes can potentially be very large (upwards of 1000, typically 100) per file. I look forward to your suggestions.

I guess It is not effi?iently for such tasks. I need something that can auto-generate a code for load and save my program settings using predefined xml-schema. I found a dataset in Add New Item dialog. Unfortunately, i cannot add new code to dataset1 such as events in set-accessors of properties because of this // Changes to this file may cause incorrect behavior and will be lost if // the code is regenerated.   • Inserting a WAV at a certain point in an audio file using python

    My problem is the following: I have a 2-minute long WAV file, and my aim is to insert another WAV file (7 seconds long), at a certain point in the first WAV file (say, 0:48), essentially combining the two WAVs, using python. Unfortunately I haven't been able to figure out how to do that, and was wondering if there was some obvious solution that I was missing, or if it is even feasible to do with python.
