  • PHP --> MSSQL + Excel file upload from a specific row

    Hello, I have a requirement in which, i need to upload an excel file into MSSQL database. It is working well till this point. But sometimes i am getting excel file in such a way, that the first 2 rows and columns are empty rows. That is not even fixed everytime. so the format of the table after upload is not as expected. It is assigning F1, F2 as column names for the table in mssql. It varies from file to file. I want to program it in such away so that the user can enter the row number and the column number from where the actual data is starting. So that while upload it should from line 3 and column 2. I dont know how to specify that row and column while uploading. Please help me to solve the same.

    Hello! My FTP client (apache commons ftpclient) needs to download file from FTP. The problem is that an external service may not have finished writing to this file before I start downloading. Is there any way to determine via FTP whether the file is already closed (i.e. there is no writing handlers opened)? The problem is that I cannot synchronize with that external service. But I mustn't download file which is not finished yet (a large JPEG). Thanks in advance!

    I feel a little stupid for having to ask this… But I can't seem find it documented anywhere. If I've got a Model with FileField, how can I stuff an uploaded FILE into that FileField? I want to iterate through the file and append each line to a common variable, that can be passed to a command line tool. For example, the file might be: C:\dir\test.txt C:\WINDOWS\test2.txt C:\text3.txt and I'd like to assign them to some variable 'a' such that: a = "C:\dir\test.txt C:\WINDOWS\test2.txt C:\text2.txt" A secondary question is - what is a good batch file reference?   • how can I make a "downstream only" copy of a file in TFS

    I've got this SQL script that needs to exist in two places in source control. I want to have only one real copy of this file and keep a virtual copy of the file in the other solution. One is needed for a unit test and the other for a development tool. The files, should, by definition, always be the same. If they have differences then there's a problem with our process. In Sourcegear I could make a virtual copy of a specific version of a file and keep it somewhere else in the source tree. That doesn't seem to be possible in TFS. Is it possible in SVN? So what are my options here? Branching/merging -- which is what the TFS team says I should be doing here -- means just another step that I have to remember to do. Plus it isn't automatic and I would prefer that this be automated. Is there some way to run an exe on checkin of a specific file? I'm thinking if I could do that then I could do a checkout-edit-checkin of the downstream copy of the file.

    My file contains a series of numbers (integer, float, integer, float ....), each written on a separate line. The numbers of columns are different from one line to another i.e. 1 2.45 3 1.75 5 3.45 7 2.55 9 3.25 6 1.75 4 3.55 6 2.55 9 2.45 The program should read the contents of the entire file and place the data into an array of type float with an entry for each line. The software does not handle pricing so they are requesting the pricing information from a web service. Their software is passing an XML file as a parameter, and expecting an XML file as a response. I would think that returning an XML file would be pretty straight forward, but I cannot think of a way to receive an XML file as a parameter. Has anyone done this, or am I missing something really obvious?

However, this has obviously broken my setup in Eclipse, giving me the error: Problems occurred opening the selected resources. The project description file (.project) for '___' is missing.     Using double variable = inputFile.nextDouble(); Gives the mismatch error and I can't figure out why... Anyone know what's up? The input file is just a bunch of doubles like 5.0...
