  • Enable Datepicker only when first field has a value

    Right now, the End Date selection is disabled. I want to only enable this when a Start Date is selected. if( $('#datepicker1').val().length === 0) { $('#datepicker2').datepicker("disable"); } else { $('#datepicker2').datepicker("enable"); } This clearly does not work. If I insert value = 'random date' into my first input field, it works fine. I'm not too sure on how do this. Clearly not as easy as I had hoped. My other problem, or hope, is to disable the dates including and before the first selection. You know, pick Start Date, and every date before and said date for the next picker would be disabled. But that is a whole other problem.

    I guess this is actually a legal question, but it relates to software. I'm about to include a JS plugin in a project. The comments include: Redistributions of source code must retain the above copyright notice, this list of conditions and the following disclaimer. * Redistributions in binary form must reproduce the above copyright notice, this list of conditions and the following disclaimer in the documentation and/or other materials provided with the distribution. Is using this in my web site "redistribution?" If I minify this to conserve bandwidth, I assume it will strip all comments. If the answer to #1 is yes, doesn't that imply I'm legally not allowed to minify it? (That would stink, since I was planning to auto-minify all JS as part of the deploy process.)

    I am currently working on a project and before i get started i thought it'd be nice to check with stackOverflow community, and see maybe they can help me with this. The Idea: I have about a thousand MP3 files that i need to convert into Video files to be upload on Youtube for my work. Here is where it gets tricky i need to also attach the Text associated with the Audio to the Video as an Image. I was thinking .ppt. The Problem: I can do this one audio file at a time but it would take me a zillion years. lol!! The Question: Can I Create Some Kind Of Program Using Let's Say XML or JavaScript Or XHTML or some other programming language to do a MASS content creation and all i have to do is feed it the Information?? possibly a script?? or is it possible to create an example .ppt file and then hack it so that i can have it reproduce itself with different information??     After I installed Visual Studio 2010 I was having a difficult time editing .js files in Visual Studio. I habitually type the "(" character as soon as the function I want to call is highlighted in the Intellisense window, but in 2010 this behavior was no longer auto-completing the function name. At first I thought this behavior was due to the new "suggestion mode" in Intellisense, but no amount of toggling with CTRL+ALT+SPACE would bring back the auto-complete behavior.     I am trying to fire a Javascript call when an ASP.net user control to an aspx page. The Web site allows users to add user controls to a page (similar to adding a widget etc to a page like google widgets). But when the control is added the javascript does not fire, only if the page is refreshed will it fire the javascript. IF the next time the website is accessd and the controlis still there the javascript fires too. Do I need to use the RegisterClientScript method to register the call (setAutoTimer()) on the control load or OnPreRender event.
