    I try to install Hping3 in my ubuntu 8.04 but after installation when I want to Hping3 I got this error: Command 'hping3' is available in '/usr/sbin/hping3' The command could not be located because '/usr/sbin' is not included in the PATH environment variable. This is most likely caused by the lack of administrative priviledges associated with your user account. also when I try to run ifconfig I get this: Command 'ifconfig' is available in '/sbin/ifconfig' The command could not be located because '/sbin' is not included in the PATH environment variable.   • SIP clients not working on Ubuntu 12.04

    I am trying to find a SIP client that works on Ubuntu 12.04. I have an account on voipdiscount (www.voipdiscount.com) and 12voip (www.12voip.com) Earlier on Ubuntu 11.10, I was able to use SIP clients: Twinkle, SFL Phone. Using these clients, I was able to access my account and make the phone calls to different destinations. But after I installed 12.04, Twinkle, SFL Phone and Ekiga stopped. Whenever I try to make a phone call using one of these software, for some reason they are not able to register. They are failing. Any suggestions as to what I can do? Is there any SIP client that works on Ubuntu 12.04? Thanks!

    I have an e-commerce website www.beyondtime.in, i have been constantly monitoring the google bot crawling on my website and my webmaster account. Lately, i have found two issues that i have not been able to understand and hence want your help. 1.) The Google Bots have been only crawling www.beyondtime.in/telecom.php this URL of my website, when the URL is not even valid. So, kindly help me understand what needs to be done to let Google crawl other pages of the website as well. 2.) The second question is about the Google Webmaster account, where i've submitted my sitmap with 227 URLs, but out of that only 156 have been indexed. Also none of the images of my website have been indexed by Google. So kindly help me with this as well. Thanks

  • possible to use an IP derived from Dynamic DNS in htaccess IP allow/deny commands?

    On a website I manage, I want to use an .htaccess file to allow access to a certain administrative directory only from my home IP address, which is dynamically assigned by my ISP and therefore changes -- not regularly, but it does happen. I also have an account from DynDNS and have one of the auto-update clients making sure it always points to my actual home IP address. I don't actually host anything at home; I just have set up the Dynamic DNS account. Is there any way to combine these features: that is, is it possible write the .htaccess allow/deny commands at my outside webhost in a way that my home IP address is not hard coded into the command, but instead is somehow derived from the Domain Name that the DynDNS has assigned me, by doing a real-time lookup every time the directory's .htaccess file is hit?   • Adding users to multiple/all sites in Google Webmaster Tools?

    I didn't find an answer to this, but maybe I didn't use the right terms for my search. So I'm sorry if this is a duplicate. Anyway, my situation is this: the company I work at manages a lot of sites (100+), and we've recently put them all into Google Webmaster Tools under my Google account, which was tedious enough. Now two coworkers are supposed to be added as users for each site, so they can see the data and manage stuff there as well. But I can only find an option to add users for a single site, not for all sites that are currently associated with my account. Do I really have to go through more than a hundred sites one by one and add the two users to each of them, or is there some way to add both users to all/multiple sites at once?

  • What amount of PHP memory usage is reasonable for multiple WordPress sites? [closed]

    It seems like I've been plagued with memory usage issues most of the time I've been blogging (7 years). I upgraded my hosting to a HostGator VPS and still seem to have issues. I have about a dozen WP 3.4.2 sites running within a single account. Each has a separate installation. I finally installed TPC! Memory Usage within one of my WP installs to see what was going on. The memory usage just standing still is on the order of 40 MB. This seems high, but I don't know. What would be a reasonable memory usage for these WP installs? Do I need to take other things into account, or am I even looking at it the right way?

Domain A was the one I had purchased when I first set up my website, but I didn't like it all that much and it was getting low ranks, and so I bought domain B and 301'd links from domain A to domain B. Now I would like to know if there is any way I can filter page views on Google Analytics based on the domain used to access the website, so that I can know if it is worth to keep the old domain associated with the account. Is there any easy way I can do this?

    First, I should say that I am a total beginner. When answering, please do not take for granted that I understand even the most basic step. Now for my question: Yesterday, I was given the option to update to ubuntu 14.04. I clicked yes, and the system took about 2.5 hours to accomplish this task. Now, whenever I log into my user account, I get an error message and then I am asked to authenticate my user account. When I try to enter the password, my computer freezes. Please help, what can I do to fix this?

  • lightdm.conf content erased, now stuck in low graphics mode

    This evening I was attempting to disable the guest account and something went awry. Currently on boot Ubuntu enters low graphics mode. No specific error report. What did I do? Before this error occurred I added a line of code in lightdm.conf to disable the guest account. I think I may have accidentally erased the contents of lightdm.conf. Not entirely sure. I troubleshooted for the past hour using various suggestions from other Questions to no avail.
