  • Are event handlers in JavaScript called in order?

    I know this is a simple question, but I haven't had the chance to test it in any browser other than Firefox. If I attach multiple event handlers to a single event on a single DOM element, are the event handlers guaranteed to be called in the order they were added? Or should I not rely on this behavior?

    Hello, I am creating some cookies in my ASP.NET application. These cookies expire 10 minutes after they have been created. I follow the approach described on MSDN as shown here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.web.httpcookie.expires.aspx My question is, when a cookie "expires", what happens? Does the browser automatically delete the cookie? Is it our responsibility as developers to remove the cookies if they exist and have expired? Thank you,

  • Slow form submission.

    When I submit a form, I can see my browser's progress bar slowly increased, it takes 4-6s to submit a form. It was a generic form like : <form id="someid" name="someName" action="someAction.do"> ... </form> I test it in IE8 and Firefox 3,both are very slow. My network condition is fine, my server works great. What could be the problem?

    I am trying to workaround CORS restriction on a WebGL application. I have a Web Service which resolves URL and returns images. Since this web service is not CORS enabled, I can't use the returned images as textures. I was planning to: Write a PHP script to handle image requests Image requests would be sent through the query string as a url parameter The PHP Script will: Call the web service with the query string url Fetch the image response (web service returns a content-type:image response) Add the CORS header (Add Access-Control-Allow-Origin) to the response Send the response to the browser I tried to implement this using a variety of techniques including CURL, HTTPResponse, plain var_dump etc. but got stuck at some point in each. So I have 2 questions: Is the approach good enough? Considering the approach is good enough: I made the most progress with CURL. I could get the image header and data with: $ch = curl_init(); $url = $_GET["url"]; curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, true); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, array('Content-Type:image/jpeg')); //Execute request $response = curl_exec($ch); //get the default response headers $headers = curl_getinfo($ch); //close connection curl_close($ch); But this doesn't actually change set the response content-type to image/jpeg. It dumps the header + response into a new response of content-type text/html and display the header and the image BLOB data in the browser. How do I get it to send the response in the format I want? The reason why I store it within this folder is since these images need to be cleared once in a while and it's so much easier just to clear the tmp directory using tmpwatch.   • Is it possible to use .ASPXAUTH for my own logging system?

    For a web application I switched from using ASP.NET Membership to using my own log in system which just does something like this to mark a user as logged in: Session["UserId"] = User.Id Is it possible to store the user id in the ASPXAUTH cookie, piggybacking on its encryption, instead of using the standard session? The goal is for the logged in state to last longer than a session and survive both browser and server restarts.

    hello, i want to add in my settings.py a declaration like: LOGIN_REDIRECT_URL='^private_profile/(?P<id>\d+)/$' #or LOGIN_REDIRECT_URL='/accounts/private_profile/id/' so that when the user with the id 1, for example,is logging in, he will be redirected to LOGIN_REDIRECT_URL='/accounts/private_profile/1/' but both alternatives, LOGIN_REDIRECT_URL='^private_profile/(?P<id>\d+)/$' #or LOGIN_REDIRECT_URL='/accounts/private_profile/id/' are wrong, because in my browser i don't see the current user id, where am i wrong?   • Downloading file with Python results in only 4.1kB

    I'm using simple code: import urllib2 response = urllib2.urlopen("http://www.mysite.com/getfile/4355") output = open('myfile.zip','wb') output.write(response.read()) output.close() The web-server is IIS + ASP.NET MVC 4 It returns FileResult wrapping a zip-file with "application/octet-stream" content-type. The problem is that downloaded zip file is broken - only 4.1kB size, where it must be 24kB. When I type the url adress in web-browser directly - it downloads and opens fine. Could you please, suggest, what's wrong with my Python code?

    Hi , i am doing one small application , wheich have login functionality, in the user table am maintaining the AVAILABLE status for the logged USER, example : i have three user called foo1,foo2,foo3 , When foo1 logged then his AVAILABLE STATUS WILL UPDATE AS 1 IN THE USERTABLE, if he logged out then his AVAILABLE STATUS goes to 0, like the foo2, and foo3 , for this available status flasg , amsimply using the update operation ..no other big functionality , Now What i want is, If somthing happened when user logged in , then i want to make the available status as 0, Somthing means , I WANT TO CHANGE THE AVAILABLE STATUS TO 0 , WHEN system CRASH OR browser crash Thanks Bharanikumar

However, when I right click on the project node and select Test RESTful Web Service, the browser pop up, and supposedly my project would be listed on the left, and supposedly I would be able to select it, and test against various function that listed on the right.     Hi, I am trying to call an Activity from another instance of the activity. The code is supposed to be a simple file browser (part of a larger application). I am using a ListActivity, and when an item (such as a folder) is selected, it is supposed to open it up in the new Activity. I have a feeling it is a problem with the AndroidManifest (which just has the basic tag). Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks, Steve

I am developing some plugins for Outlook using C# and this is a crucial part for both plugins.
