• django return file over HttpResonse - file is not served correctly

  I want to return some files in a HttpResponse and I'm using the following function. The file that is returned always has a filesize of 1kb and I do not know why. I can open the file, but it seems that it is not served correctly.   Are there any libraries or tools specifically designed to help PHP programmers write Javascript? Essentially, converting the PHP logic into Javascript logic. • Accessing a persistent ssh tunnel

  How do I pass commands (shell) to a persistent SSH tunnel rather than open a connection for every instance? I have a Python scraper running on a client server which passes URL variables and shell commands to a remote host via a reverse tunnel (forwarded port), so that the URL's are then executed on the host (python fabric ssh localhost:12345 'browser open URL'). I could make the reverse tunnel persistent but how do I echo the url/command to the session? Update - ControlMaster (built into SSH) solves this one.

• How to stop a random ramp in FCGI Processes Killing the server

  So got the below earlier to day... Around that time the logs show a ramp in processes(600) and associated memory (1.2g), cpu usage load average (80) untill the server gave out. Server had to be hard reset by host as there was no ssh or plesk panel access. Fast CGI is configured as below and is setup for one high use site. As I understand it FcgidMaxProcesses 20 should protect against what happen but has not. I've read many forums with differing answers and references to many different fcgi directives, but have found nothing conclusive. Any one got some definitive answers on how to stop this sort of server process ramping and subsequent server failure? If you need more info let me know.   Note: Following is my homework/assignment, feel free not to answer if you will. I want to delete/remove an element from an String array(Set) basic, I'm not allowed to use Collections..etc. Now I have this: void remove(String newValue) { for ( int i = 0; i < setElements.length; i++) { if ( setElements[i] == newValue ) { setElements[i] = ""; } } } I does what I want as it remove the element from an array but it doesn't shorten the length. How do I see currently open connections to a PostgreSQL server, particularly those using a specific database? Ideally I'd like to see what command is executing there as well. • Visual Web Developer 2005 Express loads very slowly

  I admit that I am not a guru of Visual Studio products at all. I am using Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition and I'm trying to load someone else's project. This project happens to be a website with many pages. After loading VWD, it asks for a project to open and I select the solution file. It then proceeds to take an extremely long time to load. The status bar indicates that references are being loaded, many of which are in the System.Web.* area it seems. It seems like it's going back and forth between some different packages. The loading time is upwards of 20 to 30 minutes or more. Some others have stated that their projects open fine when they go to File Open Website... and choose the project directory from there. Any ideas what the problem could be and how to fix it? Edit: It finally completed loading after an hour approximately.

  Is there a good way to adjust the size of a UITextView to conform to it's content? Say for instance I have a UITextView that contains one line of text: "Hello world" I then add another line of text: "Goodbye world" Is there a good way in Cocoa Touch to get the rect that will hold all of the lines in the text view so that I can adjust the parent view accordingly? As another example, look at the Notes field for events in the Calendar application--note how the cell (and the UITextView it contains) expands to hold all lines of text in the notes string.

• Google search result redirecting to tinyurl4.info

  When you google for these keywords: crtaci.info First result is my site, www.crtaci.info. Now, i have no idea what is happening, but when you click on that search result sometimes it redirects you to tinyurl4.info: I know in this image user is using IE, but both me on win7 and firefox and IE8 and my buddy on linux(and some browsers i have never heard of) both tested this and we got redirected to this site. But only once. Now when i do that again, it opens up my site. What the hell is going on? Please advise what to do! :( Maybe i should open this on serverfoult, i dont know... :( UPDATE: This only seems to be happening when you do this for the first time in your browser. Next time you do it it is ok. I have opened up chrome, which i only use for testing and did these steps: open google.com search for crtaci.info click on first result i get redirected open google.com again search for crtaci.info again it works fine now

• nginx error log was huge, so I deleted and created a new one, now nginx won't start

  I deleted the /var/log/nginx/error.log file, and then created a new one using: sudo nano error.log Doinga ls -la shows that the error.log and access.log have the same permissions. When I try and start nginx I get the error: alert: could not open error log file: open() "/var/log/nginx/error.log" failed permission denited.

• Including libraries in project. Best practise.

  Hi guys, I'm writing a Python open-source app. My app uses some open source Python libraries. These libraries in turn use other open-source libraries. I intend to release my code at Sourceforge or Google Code but do I need to include the sources of the other libraries? Is this a good practice? ...or should I simply write this information into a README file informing the use about the other required libraries. I've placed all these libraries into a libs sub folder in my source directory. When checking my code into SVN, should I use something called svn:externals to link to other sources? Is there a way to dynamically update my libraries to the latest version or is this something I have to do manually when I release a new version. My sincerest apologies if my question sounds vague but I'm pretty lost in this matter and I don't know what to Google for. Thanks all.

  Is there an open-source web app for viewing .ics calendars? I have a server running the open source CalDAV server "DAViCal" to share calendars between co-workers. I (the admin) add/delete the calendars by configuring my Mac OS X iCal application, but I want to also host a web app that displays a human-readable calendar, so without any configuration my coworkers can visit a web page and see the calendar. But I can't do that in Foxit Reader (version 3.1.4.1125, using Windows Vista Home, Chinese Traditional) Example: I open 3 files: Page2.pdf Page3.pdf Page1.pdf which opens Foxit Reader with a tab for each file, in the order Page2.pdf Page3.pdf Page1.pdf Is there a way to change the order of the tabs to Page1.pdf Page2.pdf Page3.pdf ? • Make SQL Server Reporting Services use metric measurements

  I'm newly getting into creating and programming reports using SQL Server Reporting Services. One thing that bugs me right off the bat: I can't seem to find an easy way to tell the BIDS (Business Intelligence Dev Studio, a.k.a. Visual Studio) to use the metric system for measurements - you know - millimeters, centimeters etc., instead of inches and so on. I was trying to figure out whether that's a setting inside Visual Studio (and if so: where is it??), or whether this depends on the Reporting services instance we're going against (and again: if so, where the heck can I change that???). There must be a way to change this!! Except for the US, no one in the world is still measuring in inches..... c'mon - the world at large has long since adopted the metric system! Don't tell me Microsoft makes me go back into the dark ages.....

What happened: after clicking continue after clicking "security tab" link, no security tab What do I need to do to access my EFI partition on Windows 8.1?

• Shipping Java code with data baked into the .jar

  I need to ship some Java code that has an associated set of data. It's a simulator for a device, and I want to be able to include all of the data used for the simulated records in the one .JAR file. In this case, each simulated record contains four fields (calling party, called party, start of call, call duration). What's the best way to do that? I've gone down the path of generating the data as Java statements, but IntelliJ doesn't seem particularly happy dealing with a 100,000 line Java source file! Is there a smarter way to do this? In the C#/.NET world I'd create the data as a separate file, embed it in the assembly as a resource, and then use reflection to pull that out at runtime and access it. I'm unsure of what the appropriate analogy is in the Java world. FWIW, Java 1.6, shipping for Solaris.
