Since I was trying to divide values of a column that contains both numbers and literals ,I need to fetch out only numbers from it ,as if it divisible by any number then its number else if contains literals it would not get divided it will generate error. how to handle those errors?   • I call session_start() the script hangs and nothing happens

    I am running php5, however as soon as I call session_start() the script hangs and nothing happens. Is anyone else experiencing this problem, or am I doing something incorrectly? I am using session_start() on index.php and for some reason sometimes it'll fail. No warnings, no errors, no notices, not even after prepending error_reporting(E_ALL) and ini_set('display_errors', TRUE) before session_start() do I see anything, it just plain dies.

In other words, if I scripted out alter statements for all procedures and functions in a database, I'd like to know which of these statements are going to fail? I've been working on cleaning up a database I've inherited which has gone through years of changes and I'd like to what objects are going to raise errors when something tries to execute it.

    I have a shell script to run node with some arguments like so: #!/usr/bin/env node --harmony_proxies ... This works fine under OS X but in Ubuntu it errors with: /usr/bin/env: node --harmony_proxies: No such file or directory Node is definitely installed and on the PATH since if I remove the --harmony_proxies flag it works fine. Is there some different way of passing arguments when using env in Ubuntu?

I'm using MacVim, and when trying to set shiftround in my .vimrc I get the following error: E518: Unknown option:  shiftround EDIT: However, when I try to :set shiftround manually within Vim, it works and gives no errors.     I have various VB6 projects I'm maintaining with some of the queries being passed to the server having "ELSE:" with the colon used in case statements. I'm wondering can someone tell me what the **ll the colon is used for? It causes errors in SQL2005 and greater, but SQL2000 works with no complaints.   • Is there a static code analyzer [like Lint] for PHP files?

    Is there a static code analyzer for PHP files? The binary itself can check for syntax errors, but I'm looking for something that does more, like unused variable assignments, arrays that are assigned into without being initialized first, and possibly code style warnings. Open-source programs would be preferred, but we might convince the company to pay for something if it's highly recommended.
