I have 2 text boxes one for email and one for Name. If text is entered in email I want to make Name required field. How can I do this using .net validation controls?
Thanks
I'd like to display a little popup window next to the notification area. It's similar to what Outlook/Skype/Live! Messenger/etc does when it displays the notification about a new message. In my case it will have some input controls (textbox, datetimepicker, buttons...) so a simple bubble won't do.
The trick is doing this correctly when the user has multiple monitors and/or the taskbar is not located at the bottom of the screen.
I have an asp.net web form (c#, .NET framework 3.5) that returns to itself after the user clicks the submit button. I think that some values of the form are cached (some controls in a "placeholder" are out of position... meaning they have moved slightly up or down on the web form).
How can I delete the cache after user clicks submit, and ensure that the form reloads fresh, after submit?
Let's get this out of the way first: I know that SessionFactory is immutable - I'm trying to change the Configuration at runtime and regenerate ISessionFactory.
Specifically, I have a Customer mapped that will have some fields added to its dynamic-component node at runtime. I would like to do something like this
var newSessionFactory = previousConfiguration
.RemoveClassMapping(typeof(Customer))
.AddXmlString(newMappingForCustomer)
.BuildSessionFactory();
However, I don't see any obvious way to remove a mapping, is there anything I can do short of regenerating the entire Configuration?
In which cases is it better to create template tags (and load them into the template), than creating a context processor (which fills the request automatically)?
e.g. I have a dynamic menu that has to be included into all templates, so I'm putting it into my base.html. What is the preferred usage: context processor or custom template tag? And why?
I want to implement basic spell checking in a Notepad clone project I'm doing. I want to underline misspelled words with a squiggly like like Word does. I think I need to use GDI and draw on the text field, but I'm not sure how to draw on controls.
Thanks
Hey guys,
To let people know what version of the program they are using, i want to show the productversion in the title of the window. I can do that manually, but i want this to be dynamic, so i don't have to change both items everytime the version changes.
Is this possible doing this in code behind without messing with the installer?
Thanks in advance.
I'm using twitter bootstrap in my application. i gave e.preventDefault for link button in $(document).reday(), but it is not working.
Here is my code:
Master page:
<a id="lnkLogout" href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="PageLogout();"><i class="icon-off">
</i>Logout</a>
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
$(document).ready(function () {
$('#lnkLogout').click(function (e) { e.preventDefault(); });
});
function PageLogout() {
//Code for logout from the application....
}
</script>
SampleDefaultPage.aspx :
<div class="row-fluid">
<div class="form-horizontal">
<h4 class="header blue bolder smaller">
Contact</h4>
<div class="control-group">
<label for="form-field-email" class="control-label">
Email</label>
<div class="controls">
<input type="text" style="width:200px;" data-val="true" data-val-required="Mobile Number is required." id="txtEmail">
<div class="space-3">
</div>
<span data-valmsg-replace="true" data-valmsg-for="txtEmail" class="field-validation-valid text-warning red"></span>
</div>
</div>
<div class="control-group">
<label for="form-field-website" class="control-label">
Phone Number</label>
<div class="controls">
<input type="text" style="width:200px;" id="txtPhno">
</div>
</div>
</div>
I have given txtEmail as mandatory field. if i left that field blank and click on Logout button in Master page, it says txtEmail is required. i dint do any validation in Logout onclick event. I have given preventDefault for Logout link. But still facing an issue. I should be able to logout even though txtEmail is left blank.
Thank you all in advance for your response.
Hi
The following code is not causing Page_Load of PhotoList to be called. I want the control to be initialized as if it is in normal Page live cycle, what I should do.
Page pageHolder = new Page();
UserControl viewControl = (UserControl)pageHolder.LoadControl("Common/PhotoList.ascx");
pageHolder.Controls.Add(viewControl);
I'm trying to piece together a dynamic view that will give a list of all emails that are still being rejected.
Table structure:
EmailName - varchar(150) - An email address
StartRejection - Date - Day to start rejecting email
Duration - Small Int - Duration of rejection
IsIndefinate - Bit - Is the rejection 'non date range specific' but indefinate
This might be a silly question, but still I am going ahead and asking it.
Nowadays I see new dynamic languages like Groovy being developed for the JVM, and languages like Ruby gaining prominence.
Each of these seems to be solving different shortcomings in the existing languages.
Is there any one or set of problems that are not addressed by any of the current languages?
I have some tabs which have been created using Javascript and Mootools, my client wants the 'next button' at the bottom of the page to be disabled, until the tabs have been read(clicked). The page is dynamic (created with PHP and MySQL) and there could be two tabs or three, depending on the set-up. I am struggling today to think of the best solution.
Any help more than welcome...
C# 4.0 has a lot of new major features such as dynamic type, covariance and contravariance, named arguments etc.
But C# 4.0 contains new minor (but useful) changes such as TryParse method for TimeSpan, Enum, Guid data types, String.IsNullOrWhiteSpace, System.IO.Stream.CopyTo etc.
What other minor and useful features of C# 4.0 can you list?

Just wondering, if I load a site such as Facebook into a WebBrowser control how do I enter data into the form controls from WF/Desktop app?
Do I have to use the DOM?
What's a good way of adding a plugin interface such that it's possible to have optional components?
I'm aware of the Class.forName() approach (used with JDBC for example) but there is also dynamic class loading.
Is it possible to use the class methods of some NSObject I've made to controls all existing instances?
I want a delegate class to be able to send messages to the Object's class methods which can then react appropriately with everything out there.
Hi everyone,
I have developped a web dynamic application using JSP and servlet and I want to deploy it.

I have a document library in a sub site. How do I add a link to that library into the root site's left navigation bar?
Dynamic or static links are fine.
I've got a Dictionary<string, string> and would like to have the user to see and edit the content, possibly adding new entries. How should I do that?
Input verification, handling dynamic updates of the source Dictionary and looking nice are a bonus.
so i have a nsmutablearray that populates from a socket message.
problem is, when i call numberofrowsinsection on the uitableview, it will be 0, because it loads from the array. the array has 0 objects, because the incomingMessage hasn't been received yet.
i observe this array in my appdelegate, when it changes, i call refreshData on the tableView, but it doesn't refresh. how do you load a uitableview from a dynamic array?
I have a static, typed dataset that I am using within my WPF application that all the user controls must bind to.
I want compilation to break if the dataset and the UI are out of sync.
What approach have you found best to accomplish this?
