How to upload multiple files to a SharePoint List

I am trying to upload multiple files into a SharePoint LIST as attachments. (can't use Document Libraries). I'm trying to use jquery to accomplish this but I'd appreciate any help or advise you may have concerning how best to upload to a list. For instance, can multi-uploads be accomplished when creating a new item? If you have code or examples/url's I can refer to I would welcome that. Cheers. PS - I need to select multiple files to upload at one go too...I know you can do this with flash-uploaders but can this be done for ASP.NET and specifically for SharePoint?

Xcode & 64 bit & 32 bit Question

Hello All, I have a 32bit iMac that I am writing an iPhone app in Xcode with, and I was wondering if I saved my project to a flash drive and dropped it on my MacBookPro which is 64 bit and continued to code the iPhone project on my laptop in Xcode would this cause a problem? I don't see how it would since the target is not for either of those computers, but I thought I would ask since I would like to work on the project when I am not always around my iMac. Are there any gottcha's with doing this that I should look out for? Thanks, I00I

innovation for technical high school

I work in a high school in Italy. Our goal is forming computer programmers in 5 years. Nowaday, we teach vb.net on Win ( desktop applications using ADO on Access ), C on linux ( process, threads ) , C++ on Linux ( sockets TCP/UDP with UML ), and a bit of ASP.net, flash programming, PHP, Joomla and PIC Microcontrollers. We are looking for something innovative to add in our programs of study, but every teacher have a different point of view: we are debating about python, C#, Arduino, Silverlight and smartphones programming. I am looking to do the following Disallow text selection inside of an input element Do not show the cursor carrot inside of an input i cannot simply blur the input on click, focus must remain in the input. There is probably a way to do this in just IE, i would of course rather have a cross browser solution but ill settle for IE (or FF) only solution. (this wont happen in chrome, but will in FF or IE)

Shutting Down SSH Tunnel in Paramiko Programatically

We are attempting to use the paramiko module for creating SSH tunnels on demand to arbitrary servers for purposes of querying remote databases. We attempted to use the forward.py demo that ships with paramiko but the big limitation is there does not seem to be an easy way to close an SSH tunnel and the SSH connection once the socket server is started up. The limitation we have is that we cannot activate this from a shell and then kill the shell manually to stop the listner. We need to open the SSH connection, tunnel, perform some actions through the tunnel, close the tunnel, and close the SSH connection within python. I've seen references to a server.shutdown() method but it isn't clear how to implement it correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Haxe app and Gtk-WARNING on linux servers

Hi! I'm trying a Haxe-compiled solution called FAR (Flash Archiver) created by Edwin Van Rijkom (http://code.google.com/p/vanrijkom-flashlibs/) wich uses a command-line tool for creating compressed archives. When running the FAR tool locally on my ubuntu laptop, everything works fine. When running remotely (terminal as Root) on my Ubuntu and Debian servers, it gives the following error: Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: I've tried to reach Edvin about this, but no response so far. Maybe it has something to do with installation or user rights on the server? Any clue?

How can I get jQuery UI's Draggable and Sortable functions to work on the iPhone?

I have a page that uses JQuery UI; in particular the Sortable interaction. The page works fine for desktop web browsers with mice, however I can't get the drag-drop functionality to work on Mobile Safari on the iPhone. Any dragging action simply scrolls the page. The functionality on my page is extremely similar to the Sortable Empty-Lists demo on the JQuery UI site. This page also doesn't work on the iPhone. Is there any way to get the drag-drop functions working on the iPhone?

Setting up Subsonic 3.0 on a ASP.NET web application on Visual Studio 2008

I followed the steps on this tutorial video by at subsonic website. Everything seems to be self explanatory but when I copy the .tt files into my Visual Studio nothing happens. I have read other question relating to this problem on this website but they don't seem to fix this problem. I also went into the regedit to find out the generator key for .tt files and it is properly set. This is not a visual studio express or anything but a professional edition also I am trying to build a ASP.net web application and not a MVC application like the demo. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Java based Atom/RSS Library that works in Google App Engine

I am trying to publish an Atom/RSS feed in my Java based Google App Engine code. I have tried using Rome and keep getting the following error (tried googling without success), also the code I am running that generates the error is the demo code (so I get the feeling Rome won't work with GAE) java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/jdom/JDOMException at com.sun.syndication.io.SyndFeedOutput.<init>(SyndFeedOutput.java:44) What I am looking for is recommendations for a simple Java library to create and publish an Atom feed from within Google App Engine. Android: Create TextView that flashes when clicked

How do I set up a TextView to flash when it is clicked? I essentially want one of the objects that is displayed in a ListActivity, but inside a normal View. I have tried to do this by adding an OnClickListener, but what I really need is something like adding an On(Un)SelectListener. Using the onClickListener, I can change the TextView background, but obviously the background stays that color. I thought of using a new Handler().postDelayed(new Runnable(){ ... }) kind of thing to reset the backround after some small time, but I did not know if this would be overkill for what I'm trying to do. What would you recommend?

jPlayer problem in Firefox - also throws error from jQuery?! Not related to OGG support.

I've been working on a small SVG website, http://docroot.ca/ - the SVG part has been working out pretty well. In the current site, jPlayer is called and given an mp3. jPlayer functions properly in Safari, Chrome, and Opera, but not Firefox which throws the following two errors: Error: not well-formed Source File: Line: 1, Column: 191 Source Code: <div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><embed name="jqjp_flash_0" id="jqjp_flash_0" src="js/Jplayer.swf" width="0" height="0" bgcolor="#ffffff" quality="high" FlashVars="id=jPlayerBox&fid=jqjp_flash_0&vol=80" allowScriptAccess="always" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" /></ and: Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... How do I properly load the jQuery fullcalendar plugin in a hidden div

I'm using the jQuery tools tabs to divide my page into tabs. One of those tabs contain a jQuery Fullcalendar. Because I load JavaScript last in the page for speed and to avoid flash of unstyled content, I hide the initially unseen tabs using display:none. When doing this, the fullcalendar doesn't render properly. It shows the proper buttons, but until I press the today-button, no calendar is shown. If I allow it to render into a visible div, it displays properly. I can work around this using the tab-select events to render the calendar or by moving the calendar and tab scripts to the head, but I'd rather if there was a more proper solution.

error opening sql 2005 database in VS 2008

When I created my database using sql server 2005, i was able to connect and view it in Visual Studio 2008. I then detached the database onto my flash drive. Brought it home to work in VS 2008 - that worked. finally when i detached it from home and brought back to work, it will not open. It is saying that this version of sql server is not compatible with another version. I forget the exact wording of the error, as it was lengthy. any help you guys and provide would be very helpful! Hi all, I'm on a verge of quitting my current job as a .NET programmer. i'm 25 years old and have been a .NET programmer in the past 5-6 years, but now i wonder if maybe i should take this opurtunity and try some other things, like RT\Embedded or Driver development. My pro\cons: i love .NET since you can write enterprise systems with it, learn cool development methodologies and practice many patterns i want to learn RT\Embedded\Driver since its at the heart of so many things and i'm feeling this is a black hole for me. My question are: Is making career leaps a good idea? How can i manage to get myself into a job in RT\Embedded as my whole Resume has c# written all over it. What should i bet my cards on this days? android? java? flash? silverlight? etc?

Hi guys, i'm working with Flash Live Encoder. It's using camera for streaming video. Support forum say's that i can create custom direct show filter and stream data that i need. I cann't understand how direct show filter will display in the source list of the live encoder. I've tryed to use some commercial virtual camera and it work's fine, but it cann't use source from network stream. Summary. I have a several network streams. I think that i must to create virtual camera for each one. But if i find examples with direct show filter on C#, i cann't find for virtual camera.

Regexp to extract sources from different video embeds

My SMF forum contains posts with video and I want to extract them to show on the Wordpress main page. My current regexp (thanks to SO!) extracts the url of the videos, which I embed using AutoEmbed. Everything works up until a post looks like this: <embed height="600" width="600" allowscriptaccess="never" quality="high" loop="true" play="true" src="http://mmavlog.net/embed/player.swf?file=http://video.ufc.tv/CSG/UFC113/20100507_ufc113_weigh_in_400k.flv" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"> Here is my current regexp: $regexp = "/\b(?:(?:https?|ftp):\/\/|www\.)[-a-z0-9+&@#\/%?=~_|!:,.;]*[-a-z0-9+&@#\/%=~_|]/i"; Since the posts can contain <embed> or <object> I realize that looking for the url by the "http" might be inaccurate. How can I use the regexp to look for "src=" for <embed> and "data=" for <object>?

MovieClip.onResize event? how?

I have a an swf, called 'controls' that I created with flash cs4. I upload the controls.swf to my web server. I create an application in flex and it loads the external swf controls into itself. So far I can manipulate the controls.swf via my flex app. I created a class in my external swf, but I need to add some onResize event/check to my scroll bar. For example, if my scrollbar size increases/decreases, I want it to change variable values. Is there some movieClip.onResize event?

How to save some values from an array in a controller in Rails?

I've got a links array that I'm saving to a database. The problem is that the records aren't saved in the order of the array ie links[1] is saved before links[2] and so on...
