  I'm writing a VB.net program for a website that uses the AJAX Lits options http://www.ajaxdaddy.com/demo-dhtml-autocomplete.html Whats more is that the website has used additional arguments in the function that i'm not exactly sure what they are calling, and there a trigger that executes an action that must be click, tabbing and returning fail. Any idea on how to automate this? This website has been a holy terror since it was unleashed on my company. • Unable to implement JMS using ApacheMQ

  Iam trying to implement a simple JMS code in eclipse using ApacheMQ. I have downloaded the ApacheMQ from apache.org and sample JMS sender from SimpleQueueSender and receiver from SimpleQueueReceiver respectively. Now how should i execute this code? • How can I use the Spark library in my ActionScript project?

  I'm using Flare to develop a visualization. Being familiar to Java, Javascript and Eclipse it wasn't a big deal to familiarize myself to developing with Actionscript and Adobe FlashBuilder. I actually found that the learning curve is very flat. However, being new to Actionscript, I can't figure out how to use the Spark libraries that are part of Flex. I tried to add the libraries to the build path, with no success. I guess I'm confused about how Flash, Flex, Actionscript, Spark and Flare work together, even after reading the helpful answers on this question Does anybody know which part of the puzzle I'm missing? • Which technology should I choose for 3d globe web application

  Hello, i would like to ask you for an advice. I'm currently developing application in Spring consisting of Spring CRUD application as backend, SpringMVC application as tool for management and third part is where my problem lies as I need have application that renders 3d globe which is fed by data from backend from a data set selected by user (user may switch those at will). It has to be web application (though I would prefer not to implement this in flash/flex), composed of two main parts - main part is classic web GUI where user makes his choices and second part is 3d globe which renders the globe with selected set of data visualised. My question is, what do you think is the best option to implement this? Would be SpringMVC framework usable for this kind of application? I will be gratefull for any leads or directions, thank you.

  Hi everyone! I´m creating a website for a photographer who would like a fine fadein on his images. I have excluded flash as a solution and would like to use those fine-looking effects of mootools fx. But the problem is that I'm really lousy when it comes to javascript. So if anyone could give me an easy solution for fading in one single image onload and when the image is loaded I would be really happy. I know there is a lot of different people out there who have this. But the problem is that i don't know how the code works even if it is a complete solution. So most important. • Why is display:inline killing IE 8.0 performance?

  I have an image gallery based on this jQuery plugin: http://jqueryfordesigners.com/demo/slider-gallery.html This works really well in Firefox, Chrome and even IE 7.0, but when I try it with more than 50 images in IE 8.0 the performance is incredible slow. Just hovering over the thumbnail brings the CPU load to 100%. At first I thought it's a Javascript problem, so I used the IE profiler, but the results were normal. Next I checked the CSS and finally found the cause: .sliderGallery UL LI { display: inline; } This gets the thumbnails to align horizontally. If I chance it to display:block, performance is fine and the scroller is still working but obviously it looks funny, because the thumbs are aligned vertically. My questions: Why does IE 8 have this problem with many display:inline elements What can I do to solve it I'll gladly provide more information if necessary.

  Hey guys, I've been looking around for some time now, but I can't find a way to combine these elements: I want a 100% width div, with 1 row of elements. I need to scroll through this div, just like: http://jqueryfordesigners.com/demo/scrollable-timelines.html So with a hidden overflow and such. But now I want some sort of smooth ease when I let go of the mouseclick, so it'll be like a sort sweep. So when I drag the screen from left to right, and let go of the mouse, it'll move on for 1 sec and linearly slowing down. Hm, am I making sense?   I've seen a few mentions of this on SO, but staring at Wikipedia and at an MFC dynamic dialog demo did nothing to enlighten me. Can someone please explain this? Learning a fundamentally different concept sounds nice. Edit: I think I'm getting a better feel for it. I guess I just didn't look at the source code carefully enough the first time. I have mixed feelings about DE at this point. On the one hand, it can make certain tasks considerably easier. On the other hand, getting it up and running (i.e. setting it up in your language of choice) is not easy (I'm sure it would be if I understood it better)...though I guess the toolbox for it need only be made once, then expanded as necessary. I think in order to really understand it, I'll probably need to try implimenting it in another language.

I'm trying to get it so that if you're down a ways on the gallery and then click "foreword" or any menu item, it scrolls you back to 0,0. • POST data disapearing on large file upload

  I'm having issues with a file uploading utility in my PHP application. When sending large files (9MB+) over the form, I get a very odd behaviour: the POST data I've included in the form dissapears, including the file information. I've already increased all PHP limits I could (time limit, max input time, post max size, memory limit and upload max filesize) and I still can't get the proper behaviour. I've tried replacing the regular HTTP forms with a Flash-based solution (SWFUpload, www.swfupload.org), still the same behaviour. I've tried multiple files of similar sizes and its definitely not a particular file issue. I've debugged the POST vars sent using Firebug, and the correct variables are still there in the header, together with the file. What could be going on here?

(version 8.0.60001) The form content gets hidden, as does the content within the class='hide' div but outside the form, but the form border continues to show, and retains its size. Does anybody have a workaround for this? jQuery is version 1.4.2 I tried to create a small problem demo in jsfiddle, but that site was not functional in the IE browser.

  Hello all, Now I'm using sIFR3. It works very nicely. Additionally, I would like to put an effect on sIFR. My idea is that when the page loaded, sIFR(ed) texts change its color. For example, sIFR in list item change color one by one. The purpose is to emphasize the sIFR(ed) texts. Reading the document, I thought Flash filters are not for like this animation. Do you think is it possible to make animation on sIFR ? Thank you for your help.

• C#/WPF FileSystemWatcher on every extension on every path

  I need FileSystemWatcher, that can observing same specific paths, and specific extensions. But the paths could by dozens, hundreds or maybe thousand (hope not :P), the same with extensions. The paths and ext are added by user. Creating hundreds of FileSystemWatcher it's not good idea, isn't it? So - how to do it? Is it possible to watch/observing every device (HDDs, SD flash, pendrives, etc.)? Will it be efficient? I don't think so... . Every changing Windows log file, scanning file by antyvirus program - it could realy slow down my program with SystemWatcher :(

• Is it possible to find out what FlashBuilder is doing during compilation?

  I've found that Flash Builder 4 (formerly Flex Builder) has trouble working with large projects. After a certain point, builds seem to take longer and longer. I've tried many different ways of improving build time including: Moving embedded resources into externally linked projects. Using -incremental. Tweaking the .ini jvm settings including memory and -server. Turning off automatic build (I'd prefer not to have to do this, because one of the main reasons for using an IDE is to be told about errors as you make them). Deleting the project and re-checking out from the repository. While some of these may help a bit, the performance is still annoyingly slow. I feel if I knew what was taking so long I could refactor my projects to build faster. Is there some setting that tells FlashBuilder to let me see what parts of the build process take so much time?

• Help modifying QuartzDemo example application

  Can anyone please, oh sweet pain, please take me out of my misery by writing a simple example on how the heck you pass a number (int value) which gets created in 1 .m file to another .m file. In the apple demo application called QuartzDemo, there is a file called QuartzImages.m This file has the following line of code: [CODE]CGPDFPageRef page = CGPDFDocumentGetPage(pdf, 1);[/CODE] Notice the (pdf, 1) in that line. This number should be replaced with an integer variable. Now, there is also a file called MainViewController.m. In that file, there is a method? called -(void)viewDidLoad In that method, I want to assign a number to the integer variable which would replace the damn "1" with whatever number I want. I have been pulling my hair trying to get this done, reading beginning iPhone 3 Development book, dev documentation and God knows what not, without results. Any help would be greatly appreciated... Sigh.

• Can Uploadify send e-mail on complete?

  Uploadify is a jQuery/Flash plugin for uploading multiple files. It's working great, except I can't figure out how trigger e-mail when all files are complete. If I try to add something like <% SendEmail(); %> to the onAllComplete parameter, it just sends the e-mail when the page loads. Is there a way to do this within the handler recommended here or from this post? Or is there some way to trigger a post in the onAllComplete parameter?

• Google Maps API v3 - Directions/Paths breaking KML Overlay Infowindows

  I'm in the end stages before content filling and then production on the Google Maps project I've been working on. A number of bugs and such have been thwarted, but this latest one has me relatively stumped. The demo map can be viewed here: http://dougglover.com/samples/finalProduct/ Everything works fine until you create a path using the Directions section(not to be confused with Get Directions). To reproduce the problem, play around with the map, click on a building or two, just to see the functionality. After ensuring that clicking on a building works(brings up an infowindow), choose two buildings to get directions to in the Directions area. It works great with the routing algorithm I've implemented, and the paths show up nicely, and intelligently. The problem being that you can't click buildings anymore to see their info. I'm assuming it has something to do with the z-index error popping up in the console, but I'm not sure how to handle that if it is the problem. Any guidance is greatly appreciated. :)
