    Hey everyone This is a real newbie question. I have simple app that selects a picture and display's that picture in a PictureBox. I decided to mess with the Opacity Attribute so I added a timer and created this cool effect where the Main Form's Opacity is increased by 20% every 400 miliseconds. The problem is that now when I click the button that invokes the Select File Dialog Box I'm getting a NullReferenceException error. private void tmrClock_Tick(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (ViewerForm.ActiveForm.Opacity != 1) { ActiveForm.Opacity = ActiveForm.Opacity + .20; } } The error message is pointing to the if statement.     I am trying to read a matlab file into R using R.matlab but am encountering this error: require(R.matlab) r <- readMat("file.mat", verbose=T) Trying to read MAT v5 file stream... Error in readTag(this) : Unknown data type. Not in range [1,19]: 18569 In addition: Warning message: In readMat5Header(this, firstFourBytes = firstFourBytes) : Unknown MAT version tag: 512. Will assume version 5. How can this issue be solved or is there an alternative way to load matlab files? I can use hdf5load but have heard this can mess with the data. Thanks!

Please enter full address." is displayed when either of the fields are empty. Let's say now :address and country are empty, 2 errors are displayed: Formatted Address is incomplete. Please enter full address. Country is incomplete. Please enter full address.   • Drupal: FileFields... internal server error

    hi, I've moved my drupal installation to new server and the website works. HOwever I get an "internal server error" for each file field in my nodes. In other words, images and videos are not loaded. In Firebug, Net Tab I can see they cannot be retrieved from the server because of "internal server error". The only thing I changed with respect to the previous installation is commenting the following 2 lines in .htaccess # Don't show directory listings for URLs which map to a directory. #Options -Indexes # Follow symbolic links in this directory. #Options +FollowSymLinks Is this the issue ? How can I solve this ? thanks

    I am creating a ajax utility for interfacing with my server methods. I would like to leverage jQuery 1.5+ deferred methods from the object returned from the jQuery.ajax() call. The situation is following. The serverside method always returns a JSON object: { success: true|false, data: ... } The client-side utility initiates the ajax call like this var jqxhr = $.ajax({ ... }); And the problem area: jqxhr.success(function(data, textStatus, xhr) { if(!data || !data.success) { ???? // abort processing, trigger error } }); return jqxhr; // return to caller so he can attach his own handlers So the question is how to cancel invocation of all the callers appended success callbacks an trigger his error handler in the place mentioned with ???? ? The documentation says the deferred function invocation lists are FIFO, so my success handler is definitely the first one.

    This error just started happening this morning in one particular project. When I try to publish the site it gives me this error and I can't complete the publish! Sometimes restarting Visual Studio magically fixes the problem, but it will just appear again later. Not only that, when I restart VS I lose all my "undo capabilities". There is a KB article on the subject, but it did not help. What can I do to stop this very annoying problem once and for all?

    Hello, all- I'm writing a C shared library for internal use (I'll be dlopen()'ing it to a c++ application, if that matters). The shared library loads (amongst other things) some java code through a JNI module, which means all manners of nightmare error modes can come out of the JVM that I need to handle intelligently in the application. Additionally, this library needs to be re-entrant. Is there in idiom for passing error strings back in this case, or am I stuck mapping errors to integers and using printfs to debug things? Thanks!

    I'm just starting with PHPUnit and am ok with all assert* methods, but can't figure out how to test for error thrown when the wrong argument is provided to the method - say hinted with array like so: public function(array $list) { } and then tested with null as argument. Could someone please provide an example of how to test for this sort of errors? I've checked quite a few posts on stackoverflow, but couldn't find the answer to this specific issue.     Hello everyone, I am using SQL Server 2008 Enterprise with VSTS 2008, and I am developing a simple web application using ASP.Net and Forms Authentication. When I am using the configuration tool/menu of VSTS of my ASP.Net project (I want to use this tool to manually add some Forms authentication users), I met with the following error (SqlException), Trying to attach file D:\Projects\MyTest\App_Data\aspnetdb.mdf to automatically named database failed. It may be caused by existing the same name database, or may be caused by specified file can not be opened or caused by the specified file exists in UNC share. In my computer, there is no aspnetdb.mdf under dir D:\Projects\MyTest\App_Data, and I have used aspnet_regsql to generate database successfully before I run the configuration tool.     I used the function - WNetAddConnection2A(n, UserName, Password, dwFlags) to programmatically map a drive and read the drive info out, and then used WNetCancelConnection2A(DriveLetter, dwFlags, ForceDisconnect) to unmap the drive. The first map and unmap were fine. But the next map will bring me the error 1202 - ERROR_DEVICE_ALREADY_REMEMBERED when the same driver letter is used. I set dwFlags = 0. It works in my development machine but fails in server. How to eliminate the error 1202? Thanks!

  • PHP exec() hangs, Error 500

    So, my plan is to make small thumbnails of URL's with PHP and IECapt. IECapt works well, a nice command line tool, gets the full sized image of specified URL in 1 to 4 seconds. But my problem is to execute it trough PHP. This is the code I've trying to get working: exec('IECapt.exe ' . escapeshellarg($URL) . ' ' . escapeshellarg($Filename)) $URL is of course the URL, and $filename is a simplified version of the URL. Sometimes I get the IECapt to snap the image(trough PHP), but it takes awfully long (30-60s), and in the end I always get a 500-error, with no error messages to tell me what's wrong. Both variables are fine, they work manually with commandline: IECapt http://google.com Google.png My server set-up is IIS7 and PHP5.2.9, if relevant. (Windows Vista, all on my personal computer, so full access.) Any ideas?

    I'm working on a problem which we have to use semaphores to solve. I have an array which contains two semaphores, gsem, and given certain conditions call sem_wait(&(gsem[me])), which is supposed to waiting until that particular process is woken up. However, for some reason it gives me the error Bad file descriptor. I looked up sem_wait and the Open Group spec says this is not an error sem_wait can cause. This is making my whole program crazy and I have no idea why this is failing.

    Hello, I have a problem when upgrading a django and mysql app with south. I've tried to make a sql-based upgrade with the code generated by the django sqlall command and I have a similar problem.
