    I cleaned out some logs from my cPanel dedicated server From here http://linuxhostingsupport.net/blog/log-files-on-a-cpanel-server i deleted all log listed at that link. Problem is with EXIM process it can not shut down, but it can run. When I try to send Email from roundcube, horde or via smtp it is down. 25 port is down, I can not receive, or send mails. But 1 minute before cleaning logs I received mails and I could send mails. what is problem, I just deleted logs... When I try service exim restart.     I upgraded to Wndows 7 and have a problem with graphics with my NVIDIA GeoForce Go 7600 not displaying properly. Also the Base System Drivers have yellow flags near them and it states that the The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) There is no driver selected for the device information set or element. To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver. Any clues??? Please help!

  • Windows Server 2008 Create Symbolic Link, updated Security Policy still gives privilege error

    Windows Server 2008, RC2. I am trying to create a symbolic/soft link using the mklink command: mklink /D LinkName TargetDir e.g. c:\temp\>mklink /D foo bar This works fine if I run the command line as Administrator. However, I need it to work for regular users as well, because ultimately I need another program (executing as a user) to be able to do this. So, I updated the Local Security Policy via secpol.msc. Under "Local Policies" "User Rights Management" "Create symbolic links", I added "Users" to the security setting. I rebooted the machine. It still didn't work. So I added "Everyone" to the policy. Rebooted. And STILL it didn't work. What on earth am I doing wrong here? I think my user is even an Administrator on this box, and running plain command line even with this updated policy in place still gives me: You do not have sufficient privilege to perform this operation.

  • Why do weekly tasks created via PowerShell using a different user fail with error 0x41306

    We have some scripts that create scheduled jobs using PowerShell as part of our application. When testing them recently, I noticed that some of them always failed immediately, and no output is ever produced (they don't even appear in the Get-Job list). After many days of tweaking, we've managed to isolate it to any jobs that are set to run weekly. Below is a script that creates two jobs that do exactly the same thing. When we run this on our domain, and provide credentials of a domain user, then force both jobs to run in the Task Scheduler GUI (right-click - Run), the daily one runs fine (0x0 result) and the weekly one fails (0x41306). Note: If I don't provide the -Credential param, both jobs work fine. The jobs only fail if the task is both weekly, and running as this domain user. I can't find information on why this is happening, nor think of any reason it would behave differently for weekly jobs. The "History£ tab in the Task Scheduler has almost no useful information, just "Task stopping due to user request" and "Task terminated", both of which have no useful info: Task Scheduler terminated "{eabba479-f8fc-4f0e-bf5e-053dfbfe9f62}" instance of the "\Microsoft\Windows\PowerShell\ScheduledJobs\Test1" task. Task Scheduler stopped instance "{eabba479-f8fc-4f0e-bf5e-053dfbfe9f62}" of task "\Microsoft\Windows\PowerShell\ScheduledJobs\Test1" as request by user "MyDomain\SomeUser" . What's up with this? Why do weekly tasks run differently, and how can I diganose this issue? This is PowerShell v3 on Windows Server 2008 R2. I've been unable to reproduce this locally, but I don't have a user set up in the same way as the one in our production domain (I'm working on this, but I wanted to post this ASAP in the hope someone knows what's happening!).     I have migrated a file based Xen guest to LVM using dd bs=1M if=/dev/zero of=/dev/vg00/vm10 qemu-img convert ~/vm10.qcow2 -O raw /dev/vg00/vm10 and changed the Xen domain file for the VM to use the LV instead of the old file. Unfortunately, I didn't find yet an answer that exactly appropriate for me, so it's not possible to apply the solutions I find on the web. I find solutions for Win XP, 7, 2003, sql server 2005. But not for the above combination. I just don't why this problem started a couple days ago. I removed sql server and added it again, but no good result.   • getfacl command and Linux file permissions - getting 403 error when accessing Wordpress

    I'm configuring Wordpress for a friend, and I just screwed up the Wordpress directory permissions (I suspect) using setfacl. Webfaction doesn't allow sudo or allow me to change the directory group ownership using chown. Now it appears that something I did is causing the entire application to give me 403 errors when I try to access it.     I am trying to open an additional mailbox in Outlook 2003 for one of my users. She already has three additional mailboxes in the list (found in the advanced account settings), and these work fine. When I click the "Add..." button, it immediately reports: The name could not be resolved. The action could not be completed. This is before I am prompted for the name. We're using an externally hosted Exchange 2007 server. How do I resolve this?

  • NAS4Free disk encryption and ZFS error

    I have installed a NAS4Free on a VM, and as recommended, i installed it on a 1GB virtual disk, and assigned another disk 500GB to this VM for file storage. I have created the disk, encrypted it, created a ZFS virtual disk, and then a ZFS storage pool. Everything was working. On every restart of this VM i needed to go on and mount the encrypted drive. Recently i upgraded the host machine, and now i cant mount or make it work. I have tried removing everything and setting up from scratch everything, with the exception of formating the disk, i have used an encrypted one without formating it. Does anybody have any suggestion on how can i at least get back my data, can i mount somehow the encrypted drive even in another utility, just need to get back the data that were on it.

  • IIS7 rejecting POST requests with 400 error.

    I have a web application that is supposed to handle post requests from SAP. This has been working fine at other customers with win2k3 systems (IIS6) and win2k8 (IIS7) systems. However, on this specific customer's site, IIS responds with a 400 response, without calling my aspx page. In fact, I don't even see it appear in the w3c log for the virtual directory. I do see the request using Network Monitor, so I know no firewalls and the like are eating the request, and as far as I can tell, all of the fields of the request are valid (there is "content-length", it looks correct (this is a sending of a 28K tiff file - which isn't MIME encoded, curiously enough now that I think of it...) Ideas?

  • Ping: sendmsg: operation not permitted error after installing iptables on Arch GNU/Linux

    Yesterday I got a new computer as my homeserver, a HP Proliant Microserver. Installed Arch Linux on it, with kernel version 3.2.12. After installing iptables (1.4.12.2 - the current version afaik) and changing the net.ipv4.ip_forward key to 1, and enabling forwarding in the iptables configuration file (and rebooting), the system cannot use any of its network itnerfaces. Ping fails with Ping: sendmsg: operation not permitted If I remove iptables completely, networking is okay, but I need to share the Internet connection to the local network. eth0 - wan NIC integrated on the motherboard (no idea of vendor, probably HP). eth1 - lan NIC in a pci-express slot (Intel Gigabit CT Desktop http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/network-adapters/gigabit-network-adapters/gigabit-ct-desktop-adapter.html) Since it works without iptables(server can access the internet, and I can login with ssh from the internal network), I assume it has something to do with iptables.     After installing Visual Studio 2012 and opening my solution I get a series of errors in this form: The Web Application Project Foo is configured to use IIS. Unable to access the IIS metabase. You do not have sufficient privilege to access IIS web sites on your machine. I get this for each of our web applications. Things I have tried: Running Visual Studio as Administrator Running aspnet_regiis.exe -ga MyUserName Running aspnet_regiis.exe -i These seem to be common solutions for this problem but I have not had any success with them. Is there anything else I can try to do?

  • What does this ssh error mean?

    This is my last resort. I've been trying to figure out the problem here for hours. Here's the deal: I have copied my private key from machine #1 onto machine #2. Permission denied (publickey). There is obviously more debug output that I have omitted, and I can provide upon request. I am convinced however that it doesn't like my private key file. I also had a suspicion that it has to do with how I copied it from machine #1 to machine #2. I copy/pasted the text from the private key onto a flash drive. This might be the problem, however, when I duplicated this method on another working private key file, and did a diff on the original, to the copy/pasted one, they are identical. I've been struggling with this. If I could just get a little more information on why it doesn't like my key, I could fix it I'm sure. Anyone have any ideas on this? Is there some meta-data somewhere that tells ssh that a file is in fact an RSA key?

  • How to debug xsane "no devices available" error on 64 bit Ubuntu 10.04

    I have a Brother MFC-J615W printer/scanner and I wish to use the scanning feature across a network with a computer running 64-bit Ubuntu 10.04. I have installed the drivers from the Brother website and followed all of the instructions, and printing works fine, but xsane (installed from repositories) produces a popup with the message "no devices available" on startup. I recently had success with a similar approach when installing drivers for a Brother MFC-495CW on 32-bit Unbuntu 9.10, so I am aware of issues such as requiring root access if the driver permissions are not set correctly, but running xsane as root does not solve this problem. Are there any tools available to debug this problem further or does anyone have advice on how to proceed?

    I've started getting some errors in the App event log of one of our database servers (Windows 2003 & SQL Server 2005). The nightly full database backups are completing successfully however immediately after the job success is written to the event log there is a run of entries that say: SQLVDI: Loc=CVDS. Desc=Release(ClientAliveMutex). ErrorCode=(288)Attempt to release mutex not owned by caller. There's five of these logged - the server itself has more than 20 databases on it which are all backed up successfully. The server is backed up by Bacula using a VSS backup. Has anyone got any ideas what would be causing the errors? They seem to have started after a re-boot on Friday to install some patches which included KB960089. Edit: After getting the errors for a few days they've now stopped without any action on my part other than letting the backups continue as they were. It may be a coincidence but they stopped after Bacula completed its weekly full rather than the daily incremental backup.
