gcc compilation without using system defined header locations

I am attempting to compile a c++ class using gcc. Due to the nature of the build, I need to invoke gcc from a non-standard location and include non-system defined headers, only to add a set from a different location. However, when I do this, I run into an issue where I cannot find some base symbols (suprise suprise). Is there something that I am doing wrong when I include the header file directories? Or am I looking in the wrong place?

Compiling scipy on Windows 32-bit

Has anyone tried compiling SciPy on Windows using numpy-1.3.0 that was built with the pre-built ATLAS libraries (atlas3.6.0_WinNT_P4SSE2.zip) linked in the installation document. How to make NSView not clip its bounding area?

I created an empty Cocoa app on Xcode for OS X, and added: - (void)applicationDidFinishLaunching:(NSNotification *)aNotification { self.view = [[NSView alloc] initWithFrame:NSMakeRect(100, 100, 200, 200)]; self.view.wantsLayer = YES; self.view.layer = [CALayer layer]; self.view.layer.backgroundColor = [[NSColor yellowColor] CGColor]; self.view.layer.anchorPoint = CGPointMake(0.5, 0.5); self.view.layer.transform = CATransform3DMakeRotation(30 * M_PI / 180, 1, 1, 1); [self.window.contentView addSubview:self.view]; } But the rotated layer's background is clipped by the view's bounding area: I thought since some version of OS X and iOS, the view won't clip the content of its subviews and will show everything inside and outside? On iOS, I do see that behavior, but I wonder why it shows up like that and how to make everything show? (I am already using the most current Xcode 4.4.1 on Mountain Lion). (note: if you try the code above, you will need to link to Quartz Core, and possibly import the quartz core header, although I wonder why I didn't import the header and it still compiles perfectly)

PyParsing: Not all tokens passed to setParseAction()

I'm parsing sentences like "CS 2110 or INFO 3300". I would like to output a format like: [[("CS" 2110)], [("INFO", 3300)]] To do this, I thought I could use setParseAction(). m2eclipse: How to set Eclipse project settings when importing a maven project?

Using m2eclipse Eclipse plugin, everybody on the dev team should be able to checkout source code, import Maven project in Eclipse and be good to go. I saw m2eclipse is being merged into Eclipse 3.7, and maven-eclipse-plugin won't be maintained any longer, so I'm looking for a m2eclipse-based solution (without running "mvn eclipse:clean eclipse:eclipse" before project import, which is what maven-eclipse-plugin does). maven-eclipse-plugin allows this in pom.xml <additionalConfig> <file> <name>.settings/com.google.gdt.eclipse.core.prefs</name> <content><![CDATA[ eclipse.preferences.version=2 jarsExcludedFromWebInfLib= warSrcDir=${project.build.directory}/${project.build.finalName} warSrcDirIsOutput=true ]]> </content> </file> The more general question is How would m2eclipse do something similar? Using Array Controllers to restrict the view in one popup depending on the selection in another. Not

I am working on an app that is not core data based - the data feed is a series of web services. Two arrays are created from the data feed. The first holds season data, each array object being an NSDictionary. Two of the NSDictionary entries hold the data to be displayed in the popup ('seasonName') and an id ('seasonID') that acts as a pointer (in an external table) by matches defined for that season. The second array is also a collection of NSDictionaries. Two of the entries hold the data to be displayed in the popup ('matchDescription') and the id ('matchSeasonId') that points to the seasonId defined in the NSDictionaries in first array. I have two NSPopUps. I want the first to display the season names and the second to display the matches defined for that season, depending on the selection in the first. I'm new at bindings, so excuse me if I've missed something obvious. I've tried using ArrayControllers as follows: SeasonsArrayController: content bound to appDelegate seasonsPopUpArrayData. seasonsPopup: content bound to SeasonsArrayController.arrangedObjects; content value bound to SeasonsArrayController.arrangedObjects.seasonName I see the season names fine. I can obviously follow a similar route to see the matches, but I then see them all, instead of restricting the list to the matches for the season highlighted. All the tutorials I can find seem to revolve around core data and utilise the relationships defined therein. I don't have that luxury here. Any help very gratefully received.

I manage to install Django after some struggles by using setup.py install on Windows Vista Now I tried to use django-admin.py but it is not working. According to this document, http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/ref/django-admin/ The django-admin.py script should be on your system path if you installed Django via its setup.py utility. If it’s not on your path, ... For Windows users, who do not have symlinking functionality available, you can copy django-admin.py to a location on your existing path or edit the PATH settings (under Settings - Control Panel - System - Advanced - Environment...) to point to its installed location. I checked ComputerpropertiesEnvironment Variables, but path to django-admin.py is not in anywhere. So I added C:\Python25\Lib\site-packages\django\bin which is the folder of django-admin.py in User variables for shin Variable PATH, Value C:\Program Files\Google\google_appengine\;C:\Python25\Lib\site-packages\django\bin\ Am I supposed to add to System variables?? But it still does not work. Could anyone tell me how to add the Path in Environment Variables please? Thanks in advance.

Filter large amounts of data from a HTML table w/ jQuery

I work for a transit agency and I have large amounts of data (mostly times), and I need a way to filter the data using two textboxes (To and From). I found jQuery quick search, but it seems to only work with one textbox. If anyone has any ideas via jQuery or some other client side library, that would be fantastic. Weird camera Intent behavior

Hi all. I'm invoking the MediaStore.ACTION_IMAGE_CAPTURE intent with the MediaStore.EXTRA_OUTPUT extra so that it does save the image to that file. On the onActivityResult I can check that the image is being saved in the intended file, which is correct. The weird thing is that anyhow, the image is also saved in a file named something like "/sdcard/Pictures/Camera/1298041488657.jpg" (epoch time in which the image was taken). I've checked the Camera app source (froyo-release branch) and I'm almost sure that the code path is correct and wouldn't have to save the image, but I'm a noob and I'm not completly sure. So, I'm receiving the correct data, but it's also being saved in the "storeImage(data, loc);" method call, which should not be called... It'd not be a problem if I could get the newly created filename from the intent result data, but I can't. When I found this out, I found about 20 image files from my tests that I didn't know were on my sdcard :) I'm getting this behavior both with my Nexus One with Froyo and my Huawei U8110 with Eclair. Django website on Apache with wsgi failing

How do I flatten an associative array into an array with only values in PHP?

I have an array that has keys and values. For eg: Array ( [name] => aalaap [age] => 29 [location] => mumbai ) I want to convert the keys from this into values, but I want the values to apear right after the keys. For eg: Array ( [0] => name [1] => aalaap [2] => age [3] => 29 [4] => location [5] => mumbai ) I can easily write an iteration function that will do this... for eg: array_flatten($arr) { foreach ($arr as $arrkey => $arrval) { $arr_new[] = $arrkey; $arr_new[] = $arrval; } return $arr_new; } ...but I'm trying to find out if there's any way this can be accomplished using array_combine, array_keys, array_values and/or array_merge, preferably in one, so i don't need to use a custom function. Is there?

Please bare with me this is difficult to explain xD http://img90.imageshack.us/i/croppercapture1.png/ This is based on an undergraduate degree course where a student takes many units (say 4 core units and 1 optional unit per year). tblAwardCoreUnits and tblAwardOptUnits store which units are optional and core for which award, hence the relationship to tblAward and tblStudentCoreUnits and tblStudentOptUnits store the particular instances of those units which a particular student is taking. Secondly, a unit can have multiple events (say a lecture and a unit) and each of those events has sessions in which a student can attend, hence tblEvents, tblSessions and tblAttendances. The query I am trying to produce is to get a list of all level one students, grouped by their award that lists the percentage of attendances in all the units in the current level. I've tried and tried with this and the following is the best I've managed to come up with so far... I'd REALLY appreciate any help you can give with this! I am developing a multilanguage application. Getting zeros between data while reading a binary file in C

I have a binary data which I am reading into an array of long integers using a C programme. hexdump of the binary data shows, that after first few data points , it starts again at a location 20000 hexa adresses away. hexdump output is as shown below. 0000000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 * 0020000 0000 0000 0053 0000 0064 0000 006b 0000 0020010 0066 0000 0068 0000 0066 0000 005d 0000 0020020 0087 0000 0059 0000 0062 0000 0066 0000 ........ and so on... But when I read it into an array 'data' of long integers. by the typical fread command fread(data,sizeof(*data),filelength/sizeof(*data),fd); It is filling up with all zeros in my data array till it reaches the 20000 location. After that it reads in data correctly. Why is it reading regions where my file is not there? Or how will I make it read only my file, not anything inbetween which are not in file? I know it looks like a trivial problem, but I cannot figure it out even after googling one night.. Can anyone suggest me where I am doing it wrong? Other Info : I am working on a gnu/linux machine. (slax-atma distro to be specific) My C compiler is gcc.

Double Slash at end of URL when going to HTTPS?

My site currently uses http and https sections based on the data being collected on the site (form data uses https). On my index page, I have the PHP code at the top: <?php session_start(); ob_start(); if( $_SERVER['SERVER_PORT'] == 443) { header('Location:http://'.$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'].dirname($_SERVER['PHP_SELF'])); die(); } ?> However, the page will not load and I get a 404 error. Similarly, when i visit the sections with https security using the head code: <?php session_start(); ob_start(); if( $_SERVER['SERVER_PORT'] == 80) { header('Location:https://'.$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'].dirname($_SERVER['PHP_SELF']).'/'.basename($_SERVER['PHP_SELF'])); die(); } ?> The site does not respond AND for some reason creates a double slash when switching from http to https. Example: http://www.abc.com/, then clicking button which should route to enroll.php shows http://www.abc.com//enroll.php why the need for the double slash and can anybody help with the 404 errors?

Styling individual radio buttons in drupal form

I have this group of radio buttons in which each of individual button has of its own position set through style attribute. I would like to how can I archive the same by using drupal form api. I found how to style as whole but, not as individual control within group. Here's how my html code look like - <input type="radio" name="base_location" checked="checked" value="0" style="margin-left:70px;float:left;"/><span style="float:left;">District</span> <input type="radio" name="base_location" value="1" style="margin-left:50px;float:left;"/><span style="float:left;">MRT</span> <input type="radio" name="base_location" value="2" style="margin-left:60px;float:left;"/><span style="float:left;">Address</span> And this is the drupal code I'm stuck at - $form['base_location'] = array( '#type' => 'radios', '#title' => t('base location'), '#default_value' => variable_get('search_type', 0), '#options' => array( '0'=>t('District'), '1'=>t('MRT'), '2'=>t('Address')), '#description' => t('base location'), I'm aware of #type=radio existence. However, I do not know how to group all my radio buttons together in this regard. If I use same array key for all of them, they would collide each other. Where should I store shared resources between LocalSystem and regular user with UAC?

My application consists of two parts: A Windows Service running under the LocalSystem account and a client process running under the currently logged in regular user. I need to deploy the application across Windows versions from XP up to Win7. The client will retrieve files from the web and collect user data from the user. The service will construct files and data of it's own which the client needs to read. I'm trying to figure out the best place (registry or filesystem, or mix) to store all this. One file the client or service needs to be able to retrieve from the net is an update_patch executable which needs to run whenever an upgrade is available. I need to be sure the initial installer SETUP.EXE, and also the update_patch can figure out this ideal location and set a RegKey to be read later by both client and server telling them the magic location (The SETUP.EXE will run with elevated privileges since it needs to install the service) On my Win7 test system the service %APPDATA% points to: C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming and the %APPDATA% of the client points to: C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming Interestingly Google Chrome stores everything (App and Data) in C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome Chrome runs pretty much in exactly the way I want my suite to run (able to silently update itself in the background) What I'm trying to avoid is nasty popups warning the user that the app wants to modify the system, and I want to avoid problems when VirtualStore doesn't exist because the user is running XP/2000/2003 or has UAC turned off. My target audience are non-tech-savvy general Windows users.

VS2010 development web server does not use integrated-mode HTTP handlers/modules

I am developing an ASP.NET MVC 2 web site, targeted for .NET Framework 4.0, using Visual Studio 2010. My web.config contains the following code: <system.webServer> <modules runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true"> <add name="XhtmlModule" type="DomenicDenicola.Website.XhtmlModule" /> </modules> <handlers> <add name="DotLess" type="dotless.Core.LessCssHttpHandler,dotless.Core" path="*.less" verb="*" /> </handlers> </system.webServer> When I use Build > Publish to put the web site on my local IIS7 instance, it works great. However, when I use Debug > Start Debugging, neither the HTTP handler nor module are executed on any requests. Strangely enough, when I put the handler and module <add /> tags back into <system.web /> under <httpHandlers /> and <httpModules />, they work. This seems to imply that the development web server is running in classic mode. How do I fix this?

I have a single table that shows employee deployments, for various types of deployment, in a given location for each month: ID | Location_ID | Date | NumEmployees | DeploymentType_ID As an example, a few records might be: 1 | L1 | 12/2010 | 7 | 1 (=Permanent) 2 | L1 | 12/2010 | 2 | 2 (=Temp) 3 | L1 | 12/2010 | 1 | 3 (=Support) 4 | L1 | 01/2011 | 4 | 1 5 | L1 | 01/2011 | 2 | 2 6 | L1 | 01/2011 | 1 | 3 7 | L2 | 12/2010 | 6 | 1 8 | L2 | 01/2011 | 6 | 1 9 | L2 | 12/2010 | 3 | 2 What I need to do is sum the various types of people by date, such that the results look something like this: Date | Total Perm | Total Temp | Total Supp 12/2010 | 13 | 5 | 1 01/2011 | 10 | 2 | 1 Currently, I've created a separate query for each deployment type that looks like this: SELECT Date, SUM(NumEmployees) AS "Total Permanent" FROM tblDeployment WHERE DeploymentType_ID=1 GROUP BY Date; We'll call that query qSumPermDeployments. Then, I'm using a couple of joins to combine the queries: SELECT qSumPermDeployments.Date, qSumPermDeployments.["Total Permanent"] AS "Permanent" qSumTempDeployments.["Total Temp"] AS "Temp" qSumSupportDeployments.["Total Support"] AS Support FROM (qSumPermDeployments LEFT JOIN qSumTempDeployments ON qSumPermDeployments.Date = qSumTempDeployments.Date) LEFT JOIN qSumSupportDeployments ON qSumPermDeployments.Date = qSumSupportDeployments.Date; Note that I'm currently constructing that final query under the assumption that a location will only have temp or support employees if they also have permanent employees. Thus, I can create the joins using the permanent employee results as the base table. Given all of the data I currently have, that assumption holds up, but ideally I'd like to move away from that assumption. So finally, my question. Is there a way to simplify this down to a single query or is it best to separate it out into multiple queries - if for no other reason that readability.
