  • importing data using get or create - identity error 1062

    I am importing data from a mssql database into mysql. Works except when it encounters the id of a previous entry. id is unique. I need to get entries that already exist so that they can be placed in the work of the day. Error is IntegrityError: (1062, "Duplicate entry '001355338' for key 2") This entry is already in the database. I need it entered for that day, but can not have it added to the table.   • Function returning pointer to struct

    I am having some issues with code that is returning a pointer to a struct declared inside a class. Here is my code so far: SortedList.h #ifndef SORTEDLIST_H #define SORTEDLIST_H class SortedList{ public: SortedList(); ... private: struct Listnode { Student *student; Listnode *next; }; static Listnode *copyList (Listnode *L); }; #endif SortedList.cpp #include "SortedList.h" ... // Here is where the problem lies Listnode SortedList::*copyList(Listnode *L) { return 0; // for NULL } Apparently, the copy list method wont compile. I am using Microsoft Visual Studio and the compiler tells me that "Listnode" is unidentified.   • Python new-style classes and __subclasses__ function

    Can somebody explain to me why this works (in Python 2.5) : class Foo(object): pass class Bar(Foo): pass print(Foo.__subclasses__()) but this doesn't : class Foo(): pass class Bar(Foo): pass print(Foo.__subclasses__()) The latter returns "AttributeError: class Foo has no attribute '__subclasses__'" but i'm not sure why. I know this is related to old-style vs. new-style classes but i'm not clear on why that would make this functionality unavailable.

    Probably this is not a difficult question, but I am always a little bit confused on how to treat String type as an argument in Visual C++. I have the following to functions: void function_1(String ^str_1) { str_1 = gcnew String("Test"); } void function_2() { String ^str_2 = nullptr; function_1(str_2); } After calling function_1, str_2 is still equal to null, but what I want to achieve is that str_2 is equal to Test. So, how can I achieve that the content of str_1 is passed to function_2? Thanks for any advice.

  • Taking 2 attributes from XElement to create a dictionary LINQ

    I'm trying to take one attribute to use as the key, and another to use as the value. If I use (xDoc is an XDocument object in the example): Dictionary<string, XElement> test = xDoc.Descendants() .Where<XElement>(t => t.Name == "someelement") .ToDictionary<XElement, string>(t => t.Attribute("myattr").Value.ToString()); I get a dictionary with the myattr value as key (which is what I want) but the entire XElement object as the value. What I want to do, is to select a second attribute to set as the value property on each dictionary item, but can't seem to figure that out. Is it possible to do all of this in 1 Linq statement? Curiousity has caught me! Cheers!

    Please see pic, this is what I want to do. I am really struggling to bloody do it lol. The master div, is 600px wide ( blue bg ) and need splitting into two areas, left for the image and right for the text etc. Ignore the vertical divider line The left hand div, is approx 200px wide, and need to specify a min-height of 100px, as the placeholder image which is centered to that div 50% 50% will change size, as I will be adding another div like this with larger image placeholder. The right part contains the header tag, description, button and second description. I have already constructed this and works fine in chrome and ff, but not in ie. So could you guys have a think, and give me some code that complies in all browsers. It is officially doing my head in now. Screenpic of it working in ff and chrome below:

    Hi everybody. I made a custom helper extending the system string_helper.php. I placed it in my /application/helpers folder, called MY_string_helper.php as required, unit-tested its functions. Now, when I try to call one of its functions from a model, it does not work. The functions in the default string helper work, instead. It looks like my extension is not loaded for some reasons.     hi, i want to implement a simple ssl web proxy. i do not want to work with the network connection problems. so i think i can utilize a web server (like apache) to help me establish the connection, and my program works like a cgi app on the web server to redirect the web browser request. below is how i want to implement it: client make http/https requests to the target web site, and setting to use my http/https proxy; apache get the request, and use a rewrite rule to redirect the to my cgi app; my app parse the request and make request to the real web site; my app get the response from the real web site, then send the response back to the client; currently, http requests seem to work. but https requests do not work at all. i tried to use curl to make a request to a https web site through my proxy, and the result is CONNECTION FAILED. my question is, will my idea work? if yes, how to make the https requests work.

  • How to create GUI as inner class with WindowBuilder

    I would like to use WindowBuilder in Eclipse to construct Swing GUIs. The JPanels I need to build will be inner classes in a non-GUI wrapper, like so: public class MyWrapper extends MyBaseClass { ... class MyPanel extends JPanel { ... } } So my question is this: can I construct MyPanel using WindowBuilder? If so, how should I set it up? If anyone is interested, the wrapper is an abstract base class which the plug-ins I am developing for my app must extend; deployment concerns mean that it's not really practical to put the GUIs in a separate JAR either so I pretty much have to do it this way. My current workflow, which is awful, is to build the GUI in NetBeans and paste the entire generated class into Eclipse where I connect it up to the methods in my wrapper. I am very hopeful that WindowBuilder will let me work more reliably and efficiently if I can trick it into generating code in MyPanel, not MyWrapper. Thanks

However, this gives compilation error - the text used in echo() is not declared. Does c need another declaration of the variable?

    Is there a commonly accepted terminology for various types for common functors? For instance I found myself naturally using comparitor for comparison functors like this: struct ciLessLibC : public std::binary_function<std::string, std::string, bool> { bool operator()(const std::string &lhs, const std::string &rhs) const { return strcasecmp(lhs.c_str(), rhs.c_str()) < 0 ? 1 : 0; } }; Or using the term deltor for something like this: struct DeleteAddrInfo { void operator()(const addr_map_t::value_type &pr) const { freeaddrinfo(pr.second); } }; If using these kinds of shorthand terms is common, it there some dictionary of them all someplace?

    I'm starting on a Scala application which uses Hibernate (JPA) on the back end. In order to load an object, I use this line of code: val addr = s.load(classOf[Address], addr_id).asInstanceOf[Address]; Needless to say, that's a little painful. I wrote a helper class which looks like this: import org.hibernate.Session class DataLoader(s: Session) { def loadAddress(id: Long): Address = { return s.load(classOf[Address], id).asInstanceOf[Address]; } ... } So, now I can do this: val dl = new DataLoader(s) val addr = dl loadAddress(addr_id) Here's the question: How do I write a generic parametrized method which can load any object using this same pattern? i.e val addr = dl load[Address](addr_id) (or something along those lines.) I'm new to Scala so please forgive anything here that's especially hideous.

If I load App2.xap and App3.xap and instantiate an Application class within one of the other two XAPs. The Application.Current changes to be that new instance. System.Windows.Application obj = Activator.CreateInstance(type) as System.Windows.Application; I don't want the current application to change. I just want to get the merged Resource Dictionaries off the Application class.

    Hi everyone, I am working on python right now and i am little bit stuck in performing some tricks. I have web form with two options- File upload and textarea, i can easily pass file name with file upload options but have problem when it's textarea. Because when i use textarea then first i have to save values passed from textarea to some files and save it on the working directory. After that i can execute commandline argument and pass same saved filename name. For this problem i have to generate unique file first and save the values passed from textarea in it. Can anybody give me some tips to solve my problem. Any algorithms, suggestions and lines of code are appreciated. Thanks for your concern
