  We have analog IR cameras (not IP Cameras) and they are connected to DVR model no is (DVR Model: DVR H264, 16 Channel - ECOR264-16X1). We assigned a static IP to DVR and able to view all the cameras connected to it. Our requirement is to view individual cameras and recording option in remote location (the recorded data should store in remote) as like IP Cameras. Is it possible, if not, are there any DVR Model which can support like this.

• Do not play previews of songs in Xbox Music

  I am currently using the trial of Xbox Music Pass on Windows 8 and discovered to following problem: A band's album has one or more songs that are not available to be played via Xbox music pass but for purchase on the Xbox Music store. When I choose the option "Play album" it plays the songs available for Xbox music pass streaming completely and for the songs only available for purchase just the preview of 30 seconds. Is there an option to deactivate this by a setting that I just not found or is it currently simply not possible?

  I installed MinGW by using mingw-get-inst-20111118.exe and it works but it is very slow! i don't want to install it online, i remember that i have previously installed MinGW and msys by using two files mingw.exe and msys.exe without using the internet and it was great, but now i cant repeat what i have done and i cant find a link to mingw.exe! please i want a simple steps for offline better installation? thanks

  I have ftp access to a server I do not control. I'd like to start sending archives of my server's FS to that ftp. The problem is I don't have enough free space on my system to create a backup archive first (and store it on my fs) and then send it to ftp. So I'm wondering if it is possible to do something like this: tar -jcpvf - / | ftp-put ftp://user:pass@host/file.tbz Normally there is no problem doing it over ssh, but in this case I only have ftp available.

The license was bought online and emailed to someone, however, that computer crashed and the email with the license is lost. Is there a way to recover the license from the laptop?   I'm a newbie to Xen, and I've recently installed Xen 4.2 by sources on my system. I've found a strange thing I've a VM when I start it via the command "xm create machine.cfg" all work fine, but if I use "xl create machine.cfg" it gives me the following error xc: error: panic: xc_dom_core.c:442: xc_dom_alloc_segment: segment ramdisk too large (0x4ba 0x2000 - 0x1bd9 pages): Out of memory libxl: error: libxl_dom.c:208:libxl__build_pv xc_dom_build_image failed: Invalid argument cannot (re-)build domain: -3 xenconsole: Could not read tty from store: No such file or directory What could be the problem? • Is Flash a secure content delivery technology for password protected digital content?

  We are working on a project that would be a competitor to Yudu for online publishing and what we are debating is whether to use Flash for content security protection as Yudu does. See for example "The Testicle Cookbok" for which a limited (3-frame) preview is available before a password is requested by the Flash application running in the browser. Do you see any problems with this approach or could you recommend an alternative technology for password proected digital content?

• Proper SSH keys location for a system user ?

  I have a system account with which I run a database (namely mongodb). By default it has no home. Now I'd like to trigger scp commands from that account, with ssh keys authentication to a remote server, to export backups. Should I just create a /home/mongodb and /home/mongodb/.ssh folders manually to store the SSH keys, like the default for regular users ? Is it still considered a system account after that ? Thanks!

  Is there a possibility to store nginx locations in DB instead of the config to serve them dynamically? The task is to create dynamic URLs for video files based on user's IP and video ID. The idea is when the user visits my website such an dynamic URL is created and added to the db as a new nginx location that exists just for this user and not for others.   I visited japan.indymedia.org and firefox gave me the "Invalid certificate" screen. I added an exception, but did not click "Store this exception permanently." But now firefox still happily visits the same site without giving any warnings, even after a restart of the browser. I tried going to the Options-Advanced-Encryption-View Certificates-Servers to remove the certificate but I did not find it there. How to remove this exception and make firefox give me the warning when visiting the site?

• itunes not showing latest episodes in podcast

  iTunes is stuck showing old episodes that are no longer in this feed (2010-12-16 to 2010-12-22). http://www.catholic.com/audio/podcast/podcaster.php The actual feed looks fine. I've tried unsubscribing, deleting, adding the feed via Advanced-subscribe to podcast, through the store (which also shows the latest episodes), etc. But for some reason it seems itunes has a cached version of the feed which it refuses to update. Any ideas?

  With a typical USB hard drive enclosure, is the full range of drive power management functionality available? In what may be an unrelated matter: is it possible to suspend a PC without unmounting an attached USB-powered drive, and then remounting it on resume? This is the behaviour I'm currently seeing (running Ubuntu linux 10.10). Are there certain models or brands that provide more complete control over this aspect of drive operation?
