• TableView - iVar reset when returning from details view

  Hi, anyone knows what I need to do to retain my TableView iVars whilst pushing a details view onto the navigation stack? I have an array and a date defined as iVars and the array is retained, whilst the date is not. I checked whether there may be an autorelease hidden somewhere but there are no obvious ones. The properties are defined as nonatomic, retain. I use custom NSDate category methods to determine specific dates at stages. • Problem dispatching with google mobile analytics for iphone

  I have integrated Google mobile analytics into my iphone app, but for some reason the page views and events are not dispatching. • Using an IBAction method when it is not called from an action?

  Are there any issues when using IBAction when it is not actually called from a user's action? If you have an action like -(IBAction)sayHello:(id)sender; You can call it from within your class like: [self sayHello:@"x"] The @"x" doesn't do anything, it just fills in for the sender. You can actually create an IBAction method without (id)sender -(IBAction)sayHello; and call it from both user's actions and from within the code, but then you won't get any useful sender info from the interface. What's the 'correct' way of filling in for the sender, when calling from the code? And can you create sender info to send when it's called from within the code? Just trying to figure it out.

• Querying current number of touches on screen without using events on iPhone

  I have an application that starts playing a sound when user touches the uiview and changing to different tones as the user slides the finger on the screen. The sound stops when the user lifts the finger. I am using the touchesBegan, Moved and Ended Events for this. My problem is touches Ended (and/or cancelled) is sometimes not fired properly and the sound keeps playing even after the finger is lifted from screen. So as a workaround I would like to implement a timer that would check for the number of touches on the screen and if it is zero it will check and stop the audioplayer if playing. I have been searching for some code that could get me the number of touches like UITouch *touches=[self getAllTouchesonScreen]; or something :)

I'm talking about fork(2), execve(2), pipe(2), socketpair(2), select(2), kill(2), sigaction(2), and so on and so forth. These are our friends. They want so badly just to help us. I have a bit of code (a delayed_job clone for DataMapper that I think would fit right in with this, but I'm not clear on how to take advantage of the listed commands. By the way I made some variables that take the screensize and half it to find a point to spit out the squares, but when I try to use it, it makes a weird effect :/ Try switching the list i have in the newbyte() function with the halfScreen variable and see it freak out o.O thank you

Otherwise, I'll have to duplicate the processing of args in __init__ (without some_check)

• Have a reloadData for a UITableView animate when changing

  Hi everyone. I have a UITableView that has two modes. When we switch between the modes I have a different number of sections and cells per section. Ideally, it would do some cool animation when the table grows or shrinks. • Classic ASP, ASP.NET, IFrames and response.redirect issue....

  A client has an asp page with an iframe. The Iframe loads an asp.net page inside the asp classic page. The ASP.NET page is responsible for connecting to a webservice, displaying some data, and then when the user clicks a button it does a response.redirect another classic asp page. Since the asp.net page is in an iframe, the asp page loads inside the iframe when ideally it should be taking over the entire page. I have tried putting javascript in the final asp page to break out of iframes but it does not seem to fire. I tried doing onClientCLick() on the asp.net page and making it break out of the iframe using the following javascript top.location = self.location.href But since that sets the location it seems to refresh the page , breaks out of the iframe but does not fire the serverside onclick event which would then perform the backend calculations and do response.redirect. Any ideas on how I can make sure that the final asp page does not appear inside the iframe and breaks out of it ?

• Modify installed SharePoint feature

  I have written a sequential workflow in SharePoint on our development environment. After testing, we decided to deploy this workflow as a feature on the staging environment. We did the following: copied the strongly named assembly to the GAC using gacutil copied feature.xml and workflow.xml to WebServerExtensions/12/templates/features/someFolder installed feature (stsadm command) activated feature (stsadm command) All worked exactly as planned and the workflow behaved correctly. The problem was, we decided to change something in the code (a message was not very self explanatory), so on the development machine we updated the message as requested and rebuilt the project. The problem is, we cannot seem to find a way to correctly get rid of the previous version of this workflow/feature. To deploy the upgrade, we: deactivated and uninstalled the feature (stsadm commands), removed also from GAC. increased the version of the assembly performed steps 1 to 4 from above. When using the workflow we are still getting the first message, we cannot find a way to get the new message to be displayed. What are we missing?

• Django admin interface upload failing on request data read error

  Hi All, This is an updated version of an old question I asked. I've now done a lot more testing, plus the old question got hijacked. I'm getting a request data read error when trying to upload files to the Django admin interface. Files under about 150k work, but bigger files always fail and almost always at around 192k (that's 3 chunks) completed, sometimes at around 160k. The Exception I get is below. File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/django/http/multipartparser.py", line 405, in read return self._file.read(num_bytes) IOError: request data read error I've tried Chrome and Firefox on Windows and Firefox on Mac - Same results. I can upload to other sites so I don't think it's my connection. I'm running python 2.4, django 1.1, mod_wsgi, on CentOS (a media temple DV server) Locally it's fine (Django development server) Everything I've found on this issue says it's a mod_python issue and that changing to mod_wsgi will fix it, but I am running mod_wsgi. Can anyone help?

• Beginning GWT and Java - wich is the best route when coming from LAMP background?

  Hi! I've worked a lot with php/mysql on linux servers, including frameworks, orm etc. Now I want to give GWT and Java a try! Installing GWT SDK, Eclipse plugin etc and running a "Hello world" is no problem... The server is running automagically in the background... But when it comes to setting it up my self, there seems to be confusingly many options. Jetty? Tomcat? Glassfish? How are those related/combinable to/with Apache? Are there any good resources or tutorials for setting up java development and server environments suited for one like me with PHP background? Maybe pointing out the possiblities of running PHP and Java on the same server? Regards / Jonas
