    I have the following code to show how long a user has left before their session will expire, I am using WordPress. How can I do this? Thanks <script> var obj_Span; var n_Seconds = 0; var n_Minutes = 0; var n_Hours = 0; function F_ConvertNumberToString ( n_Num ) { var str_Num = String(n_Num); if ( str_Num.length < 2 ) str_Num = "0" + str_Num; return str_Num; } function F_CountDown () { if ( n_Hours == 0 && n_Minutes == 0 && n_Seconds == 0 ) { obj_Span.innerHTML = "(Sorry, your session has expired.)"; } else { if ( n_Seconds >= 0 ) n_Seconds --; if ( n_Seconds < 0 ) { n_Minutes --; n_Seconds = 59; } if ( n_Minutes >= 0 ) { window.setTimeout ( "F_CountDown()", 1000 ); } if ( n_Minutes < 0 ) { n_Hours --; n_Minutes = 59; window.setTimeout ( "F_CountDown()", 1000 ); } F_UpdateDisplay (); } } function F_UpdateDisplay ( ) { if ( document.getElementById ) { if (n_Hours > 0 ) obj_Span.innerHTML = "(Remaining " + F_ConvertNumberToString(n_Hours) + ":" + F_ConvertNumberToString(n_Minutes) + ":" + F_ConvertNumberToString(n_Seconds) + ")"; else obj_Span.innerHTML = "(Remaining " + F_ConvertNumberToString(n_Minutes) + ":" + F_ConvertNumberToString(n_Seconds) + ")"; } } function F_StartCountDown ( n_Session ) { obj_Span = document.getElementById ( "CountDown" ); n_Minutes = n_Session; n_Hours = Math.floor(n_Minutes/60); n_Minutes = n_Minutes - (60*n_Hours); F_CountDown (); } </script> <script> F_StartCountDown ( " code here...   • This PHP/Smarty doesn't work in IE

    - by Kyle Sevenoaks
    I'm starting to get sick of IE's random problems. Page link. (Add things to the cart with the kjøp button and handlevogn) I have this little tiny code here, {foreach $cart.taxes.$currency as $tax} <div id="subTotalCaption2"><p style="width:100px;">{$tax.name_lang}:</p></div> <div id="taxAmount2"><p>{$tax.formattedAmount}</p></div> {/foreach} That's meant to display the amount of total tax for each of the items in the basket. (MVA 25%) This works in every other browser but not IE. Why? Why not? Just why? Any help at all would be very much appreciated.

  • Safe image uploading with PHP

    - by directedition
    I want my site to have a feature for users to upload images, but I want to do it safely. Namely, I want to strip the EXIF data and any malicious code that could be in their image. I was thinking of a way to do this involving direct manipulation of the file, but it struck me, would it make more sense to just convert the image they provide to BMP and then convert that back to the original format? It would suffer a generational loss, but I believe that would meet my project's requirements. BMP doesn't contain EXIF, does it? And the reprocessing should strip any malicious content.

  • PHP While Loops from Arrays

    - by Michael
    I have a table that contains members names and a field with multiple ID numbers. I want to create a query that returns results where any values in the ID fields overlap with any values in the array. For example: lastname: Smith firstname: John id: 101, 103 I have Array #1 with the values 101, 102, 103 I want the query to output all members who have the values 101 or 102 or 103 listed in their id field with multiple ids listed. Array ( [0] => 101 [1] => 102 [2] => 103 ) $sql="SELECT firstname, lastname, id FROM members WHERE id LIKE '%".$array_num_1."%'"; $result=mysql_query($sql); while ($rows=mysql_fetch_array($result)) { echo $rows['lastname'].', '.$rows['firstname'].'-'.$rows['id']; }

  • PHP search multidimensional array for value, then place that element at start of array

    - by BobFlemming
    I need to search this array: cars - [0] -make : Ford -model: Escort -year: 1991 [1] -make: Honda -model: Civic -year: 1996 [2] -make: Vauxhall -model: Astra -year: 1972 And if (for example) the model is "Civic" , place that 'car' at position 0. So the end array would be like: cars - [0] -make: Honda -model: Civic -year: 1996 [1] -make : Ford -model: Escort -year: 1991 [2] -make: Vauxhall -model: Astra -year: 1972 I've tried some usort variations: function typeSort($a, $b) { if ($a['model'] == 'Civic' ) { return 0; } return ($a['model'] < $b['model']) ? -1 : 1; } but this is just returning 1

  • PHP access class inside another class

    - by arxanas
    So I have two classes like this: class foo { /* code here */ } $foo = new foo(); class bar { global $foo; public function bar () { echo $foo->something(); } } I want to access the methods of foo inside all methods bar, without declaring it in each method inside bar, like this: class bar { public function bar () { global $foo; echo $foo->something(); } public function barMethod () { global $foo; echo $foo->somethingElse(); } /* etc */ } I don't want to extend it, either. I tried using the var keyword, but it didn't seem to work. What do I do in order to access the other class "foo" inside all methods of bar?

  • PHP does not store all variables in session

    - by Flurin Juvalta
    Dear all I'm assigning session variables by filling the $_SESSION - Array throughout my script. My problem is, that for some reason not all variables are available in the session. here is a shortened version of my code for explaining this issue: session_start(); print_r($_SESSION); $_SESSION['lang'] = 'de'; $_SESSION['location_id'] = 11; $_SESSION['region_id'] = 1; $_SESSION['userid'] = 'eccbc87e4b5ce2fe28308fd9f2a7baf3'; $_SESSION['hash'] = 'dce57f1e3bc6fba32afab93b0c38b662'; print_r($_SESSION); first call prints something like this: Array ( ) Array ( [lang] => de [location_id] => 11 [region_id] => 1 [userid] => eccbc87e4b5ce2fe28308fd9f2a7baf3 [hash] => dce57f1e3bc6fba32afab93b0c38b662 ) the second call prints: Array ( [lang] => de [location_id] => 11 [region_id] => 1 ) Array ( [lang] => de [location_id] => 11 [region_id] => 1 [userid] => eccbc87e4b5ce2fe28308fd9f2a7baf3 [hash] => dce57f1e3bc6fba32afab93b0c38b662 ) As you can see, the important login information is not stored in the session. Does anybody has an idea what could be wrong with my session? Thanks for your answers!

  • Get only new RSS entries with PHP Script ?

    - by ArneRie
    What im trying to do: Fetch X numbers of RSS Feeds from my Blogs and echo only new entries. My Problem is, how to know wich items are already parsed? Solution so far: Fetch the Feed every 5 hours, store all titles inside an Database table or flat file. Next run check if the title is already in database if not print it and save it inside the database. But iam not sure if this is best practise to do this? If someone knows a fast way, it would be great. Sorry for my poor english.

  • Getting key/value pairs from plist-style xml using simplexml in php

    - by Anthony
    Here is an example bit from the xml file: <array> <dict> <key>Name</key> <string>Joe Smith</string> <key>Type</key> <string>Profile</string> <key>Role</key> <string>User</string> <key>Some Number</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>Some Boolean</key> <true/> </dict> </array> I have two separate goals. The first is to extract an array from the dictnode that would look like: [Name] => Joe Smith [Type] => Profile [Role] => User [Some Number] => 1 [Some Boolean] => true It's not crucial that the boolean be included, so if that adds too much complexity, I'd rather just know how to deal with the others for now. The second goal is to be able to select the value node (<string>, <integer>,etc) so that I can change the value. I would need to select it based on the text value of the preceding key element. I think the following XPath should work: //key[.=$keyname]/following-sibling[1] But I'm not sure. Basically, this whole system that Apple uses seems logical, but totally contrary to the XML is supposed to work. If I ran the world, the original XML would look more like: <dict type="array"> <value key="Name" type="string">Joe Smith</value> <value key="Type" type="string">Profile</value> <value key="Role type="string">User</value> <value key="Some Number" type="integer">1</value> <value key="Some Boolean" type="boolean">true</value> </dict> But since it is fairly logical, I am wondering if I'm missing some obvious way of handling it.

  • How do i serlialize the product using php?

    - by Ibrahim Azhar Armar
    hi, i am building a real estate application where in it will store the properties and search it. the property will have different categories like (residential, commercial, industrial or agricultural). based upon the category i want to serailize each and every property listing . for example the property with id 1 belongs to resedential will have the serial code rs_SOMERANDOMUNIQUENUMBER. and for commercial it can be cm_SOMERANDOMUNIQUENUMBER and so on. for this my database table looks like this. CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS `propSerials` ( `id` bigint(20) NOT NULL auto_increment, `serial` varchar(50) NOT NULL, `property_id` int(10) UNIQUE NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY  (`id`) ) ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8; what would be the best possible format to store the serial with the prefix according to category? thank you

  • PHP, MySQL prepared statements - can you use results of execute more than once by calling data_seek(

    - by Carvell Fenton
    Hello, I have a case where I want to use the results of a prepared statement more than once in a nested loop. The outer loop processes the results of another query, and the inner loop is the results of the prepared statement query. So the code would be something like this (just "pseudoish" to demonstrate the concept): // not showing the outer query, it is just a basic SELECT, not prepared statement // we'll call it $outer_query $obj_array = array(); // going to save objects in this $ids = array(18,19,20); // just example id numbers $query = "SELECT field1, field2 FROM table1 WHERE id=?"; $stmt = $db->prepare($query); foreach ($ids as $id) { $stmt->bind_param("i", $id); $stmt->execute(); $stmt->bind_result($var1, $var2); $stmt->store_result(); // I think I need this for data_seek while ($q1 = $outer_query->fetch_object()) { while ($stmt->fetch()) { if ($q1->field1 == $var1) { // looking for a match $obj = new stdClass(); $obj->var1 = $var1; $obj->var2 = $var2; $obj_array[] = $obj; $stmt->data_seek(0); // reset for outer loop break; // found match, so leave inner } } } } The problem I seem to be experiencing is that the values are not getting bound in the variables as I would expect after the first time I use fetch in the inner loop. Specifically, in one example I ran with 3 ids for the foreach, the first id was processed correctly, the second was processed incorrectly (matches were not found in the inner loop even though they existed), and then the third was processed correctly. Is there something wrong with the prepared statment function calls in the sequence I am doing above, or is this an invalid way to use the results of the prepared statement? Thanks.

  • Replace repeating character with array elements in PHP

    - by Will Croft
    I hope this is blindingly obvious: I'm looking for the fastest way to replace a repeating element in a string with the elements in a given array, e.g. for SQL queries and parameter replacement. $query = "SELECT * FROM a WHERE b = ? AND c = ?"; $params = array('bee', 'see'); Here I would like to replace the instances of ? with the corresponding ordered array elements, as so: SELECT * FROM a WHERE b = 'bee' and c = 'see' I see that this might be done using preg_replace_callback, but is this the fastest way or am I missing something obvious?
