  Using the following html, css,jquery, js, what would be the best approach to achieving this. A visitor hits the website. The website page is displaying html and a css3 animation. The visitor is given the option to enter text freely into a text box, they enter an email address and hit send. The person receiving the message gets an email with a link, when they click the link it takes them to the webpage with the animation and the custom message their friend entered. Is this easy to achieve, what would be the best approach? anyone know of existing code I could use? Thanks

• Software purchases & accounts issue

  I have installed 13.10 on a new computer and want to tranfer my purchase (Braid) there. I have read this page about how to do this. However, when I log in to https://software-center.ubuntu.com/subscriptions, nothing appears. My guess is that when I purchased this game, I used an older email address than the one I am currently using. Ideally I would like to be able to transfer this purchase to my current ubuntu one account. Or, if this is not possible, at least to have a chance to know with which account this purchase has been done so I can have a try to reinstall it somewhere else. NB: In the Ubuntu Software Center on my older computer the game is still there and marked as "already purchased". EDIT: This is not an upgrade issue, as my old computer has not been upgraded to 13.10, and my newer computer is, well, new, 13.10 being its first OS. Note that I don't see my purchases on the software center web site on my old as well as my new computer, which makes sense.

• Private downloads [on hold]

  I am setting up a personal website and I would like to be able to share certain files with friends (e.g. photo albums or documents). Of course, each of the files should only be accessible to certain people, for example with a password or a private address. I would like to have a simple system, easy to maintain. I'm quite sure that Wordpress would let me know do something but keeping a Wordpress installation just for sharing a few files per month seems too much work. I am thinking of using the Apache capabilities for folder or file password protecting. Is this the best idea? Or would it be better just to block the directory navigation so that only people with the full path for each of the files can download them? Thanks!

  I'm writing blog at Wordpress, and bought Domain park for it for a shorter web address for my readers who I redirect to my blog. Yesterday there was a first time message titled "Account Suspended due to registration information verification failure". I've never changed my contact information at my Web Host, and my contact Information has not been changed. I have Fan page on Facebook too, that my readers' could follow my blog easier, and there was same kind of message on my Facebook site too. Can you tell me, what's going on? I've not been broking any terms of use at my host, and writing good language on my blog. I think it's a some kind of hacker -thing? Is there nothing else to do than contact my web host that they can fix the problem? Can they? I Contacted last night my host, but got no answer yet.

• Relationship between databases [closed]

  Hi I am getting ready to create my first web aplication.I have some knowledge of databases but I have never used databases with relationship created beetween them and also I am not sure how to acces the data in the relationship.My experience is limited to basic CRUD applications and working on simple tables with no realtionship using PHP and MySql. For example I will be creating a login system and for each user I would like to create a profile page that store different data(name , address , profile image etc.).Some of the info will be the same in both tables so there is no point in creating the same table twice. What I would like is if anyone can tell of some tutorials so I can better understand the concept?

  So I'm trying to setup PostFix while using SASL (Cyrus variety preferred, I was using dovecot earlier but I'm switching from dovecot to courier so I want to use cyrus instead of dovecot) but I seem to be having issues.   I just upgraded Ubuntu from 11.10 to 12.04. My rails app now returns the (passenger) error "Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (111) (Mysql2::Error)". I get a similar error when I try to access mysql at the command line on my Ubuntu server using mysql -u root -p. I have mysql-server 5.5 installed. I've checked and mysql is not running. When I try to restart it, it fails. Dean Richardson Update: Thanks to quanta's suggestion, I looked at the /var/log/mysql/error.log file. I found error messages relating to pointers, fatal signals, and more stuff that I really couldn't make much sense of. I also found mysql man page references, however. One suggested that I try starting mysqld with the --innodb_force_recovery=# option, then attempt to dump (or drop) the offending/corrupted database or table. I worked through the escalating option levels one-by-one (innodb_force_recovery=1, innodb_force_recovery=2, etc.) This allowed me to successfully run mysql -u root -p from the command line and execute several commands. I was able to run queries on my production database, but any attempt to query, dump, or even drop my development database raised an error and led to me losing the connection to mysql. So I've made progress, but until I'm somehow able to drop or repair my development db I'm still unable to get my app to load. Any further advice or suggestions? Thanks!   This is not a dupe. Please read and understand the issue before marking this as a duplicate question that has been answered already. Several customers are reporting bounce messages like the one below. At first I thought their computers had a virus but then I received one that was server generated so the problem is with the server. I've inspected the logs and these email addresses do not appear in the logs. • Using a mounted NTFS share with nginx

  I have set up a local testing VM with Ubuntu Server 12.04 LTS and the LEMP stack. It's kind of an unconventional setup because instead of having all my PHP scripts on the local machine, I've mounted an NTFS share as the document root because I do my development on Windows. I had everything working perfectly up until this morning, now I keep getting a dreaded 'File not found.' error. I am almost certain this must be somehow permission related, because if I copy my site over to /var/www, nginx and php-fpm have no problems serving my PHP scripts. What I can't figure out is why all of a sudden (after a reboot of the server), no PHP files will be served but instead just the 'File not found.' error. Static files work fine, so I think it's PHP that is causing the headache. Does anybody know why this is happening? EDIT I tried editing php-fpm.conf and changing chdir to the following: chdir = /mnt/webfiles When I try and restart the php-fpm service, I get the error: Starting php-fpm [08-Sep-2012 14:20:55] ERROR: [pool www] the chdir path '/mnt/webfiles' does not exist or is not a directory This is a total load of bullshit because this directory DOES exist and is mounted! Any ls commands to list that directory work perfectly. Why the hell can't PHP-FPM see this directory?! • Debugging Messaging Exception

  We have a batch program that incorporates JavaMail 1.2 that sends emails. In our development environment, we haven't got the chance to encounter the above mentioned exception. But in the client's environment, they had experienced this a lot of times with the following error trace: javax.mail.MessagingException: 550 Requested action not taken: NUL characters are not allowed. at com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPTransport.issueCommand (SMTPTransport.java: 879) at com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPTransport.finishData (SMTPTransport.java: 820) at com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPTransport.sendMessage (SMTPTransport.java: 322) ... I'm not sure if this is connected to my problem, http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4697158. But trying JavaMail 1.4.2, I see that the content transfer encoding of the email is still 7bit, so I'm not sure if using JavaMail 1.4.2 could solve the problem. Please take note that I could only do testing in our development environment that hasn't been able to replicate this. With the above exception, how would i know if this is from the sender or the receiver side? What debugging steps could you suggest?
