• Fully automated SQL Server Restore

  I'm not very fluent with SQL Server commands. I need a script to restore a database from a .bak file and move the logical_data and logical_log files to a specific path. I can do: restore filelistonly from disk='D:\backups\my_backup.bak' This will give me a result set with a column LogicalName, next I need to use the logical names from the result set in the restore command: restore database my_db_name from disk='d:\backups\my_backups.bak' with file=1, move 'logical_data_file' to 'd:\data\mydb.mdf', move 'logical_log_file' to 'd:\data\mylog.ldf' How do I capture the logical names from the first result set into variables that can be supplied to the "move" command? I think the solution might be trivial, but I'm pretty new to SQL Server.

• Why do compiled Haskell libraries see invalid static FFI storage?

  I am using GHC 6.12.1, in Ubuntu 10.04 When I try to use the FFI syntax for static storage, only modules running in interpreted mode (ie GHCI) work properly. Compiled modules have invalid pointers, and do not work. I'd like to know whether anybody can reproduce the problem, whether this an error in my code or GHC, and (if the latter) whether it's a known issue. • First could access the repository next cannot

  Hi! I have configured svnserve (1.6.5,plain, without apache) on Fedora 12. I could ran the following svn subcommands which access the repository after configuration. Such as, commit, update,checkout, list. But, when next time ( after stopping,ctrl-c and then starting svnserve)I tried above commands, could not access the repository. This is happening both from local and remote machine. I ran svn and svnserve as below. 'svn commit svn://127.0.0.1/myrepository/' from local client. 'svnserve -d --foregorund --listen-port=3690 -r /path-to-repository/mypository/' To understand the problem better, I created another repository and found similar behavior . Frist I could access the repository and next I could not. I tried doing strace on svnserve, but don't uderstand much of it. • Drupal - Counting data in nodes, creating custom statistics

  Hiya, I'm building some custom content types to capture customer data on a website. Admins will enter the data, users will be able to view it, but I also need to be able to bolt on some statistics and infographics to the data. The problem I have is that I can't see any simple way of doing this within Drupal. Are there modules which can produce simple stats on selected node types or will I have to write a complete custom module using the data abstraction layer? Thanks for any insights!

  I am a real newbie at angular. I created something now which will let me retrieve and add items via angular and get/put them in mongodb. I use express and mongoose in the app The question is, how can i modify the data before it reaches the DOM in the controller. In this example i have created a way to retrieve data, and i get it exactly as it is stored in mongodb. What i would like is that the field where i store 1 or 0 in the database, to be shown as text. So if mongo has a value 1 i get "the value in mongo is 1" and when the field has a value of 0 get "the value is zero". (just as an example, i like other texts, but it illustrate what i want) I post my controller, html and current output. Any help would be appreciated. • How do I get Google Chrome's root bookmarks folder?

  Hi, I'm trying to write a better bookmark manager in chrome extensions. The problem is there are no simple examples (that I can find) about how to actually use the bookmarks api (available here: http://code.google.com/chrome/extensions/bookmarks.html ) I've looked at the example source (when I d/led and installed it on my computer it didn't do anything except provide a search box. Typing/typing and pressing return failed to do anything) and can't find anything useful. My ultimate goal is to make an extension that allows me to save pages to come and read later without having to go sign up for an account on some service somewhere. So I plan to create either one or two bookmark folders in the root folder/other bookmarks - at minimum an "unread pages" folder. In that folder I'll create the unread bookmarks. When the user marks the item as read, it will be removed from that folder. So that's what I'm trying to do... any help will be greatly appreciated, even if it's just pointing me to some good examples.   HI all, This is what i'm trying to do. I have a .bat file which takes in a argument which is nothing but a folder name. What i do first is go one level up (cd ..). Now in this directory i have 3 folders and each folders have sub-folders and have .class files in them. What i want to do is recursively loop through the folders and get hold of the .class files. Once this is done i want to echo the target folder of the .class file as well as echo the name of the.class file. So c:\temp\potter\myclass.class. I would echo out c:\temp\potter\ and myclass. I'm able to do this by writing a separate bat file which works. But when i integrate this with the recursive function it seems to break. • How can I pare down Vim's buffer list to only include active buffers

  How can I pare down my buffer list to only include buffers that are currently open in a window/tab? When I've been running Vim for a long time, the list of buffers revealed by the :ls command is too large to work with. Ideally, I would like to delete all of the buffers which are not currently visible in a tab or window by running a custom command such as :Only. Can anybody suggest how to achieve this? It looks like the :bdelete command can accept a list of buffer numbers, but I'm not sure how to translate the output from :ls to a format that can be consumed by the :bdelete command. Any help would be appreciated. Clarification Lets say that in my Vim session I have opened 4 files. The :ls command outputs: :ls 1 a "abc.c" 2 h "123.c" 3 h "xyz.c" 4 a "abc.h" Buffer 1 is in the current tab, and and buffer 4 is in a separate tab, but buffers 2 and 3 are both hidden. I would like to run the command :Only, and it would wipe buffers 2 and 3, so the :ls command would output: :ls 1 a "abc.c" 4 a "abc.h" This example doesn't make the proposed :Only command look very useful, but if you have a list of 40 buffers it would be very welcome.

  I have a requirement to create a web page using Wicket 1.5, which can present a variable number of panels to capture user input. All the panels have the same structure. The page would start off with one panel, and includes a button to dynamically add more as required. So the number of panels is unknown at the time the page is initially rendered. Effectively I'd be altering the structure of the page dynamically. This is possible in Javascript, using document.addElement() I've done a similar thing in the past by creating all the components on page load, and selectively showing/hiding components. The difference here is that the number of components (panels) is initially unknown. I'm unsure as to how this would be achieved with Wicket.

• Filtering custom fields on wordpress admin page

  I'm currently working on a wordpress 2.9.2 plugin (my first) that creates additional custom fields that will later be read from the template. The plugin adds an additional meta box to the "Edit Post" screen which is responsible for manipulating these values. My problem is that the custom fields generated by the plugin also show up in the "Custom Fields" box. Ideally I would like for the custom fields generated by the plugin to be managed separately from any other custom fields for that same post/page. Is there a way that I can filter fields specific to my plugin to prevent them from being displayed in the "Custom Fields" box? I have yet to locate any action or filter that will let me capture and manipulate those values before they are rendered on "Edit Post".

If the user reaches the final slide of gallery A (galleryA.html), the #next anchor should point to gallery B (galleryB.html) / the #prev anchor should point to gallery C (galleryC.html). • Oracle - timed sampling from v$session_longops

  I am trying to track performance on some procedures that run too slow (and seem to keep getting slower). I am using v$session_longops to track how much work has been done, and I have a query (sofar/((v$session_longops.LAST_UPDATE_TIME-v$session_longops.start_time)*24*60*60)) that tells me the rate at which work is being done. What I'd like to be able to do is capture the rate at which work is being done and how it changes over time. Right now, I just re-execute the query manually, and then copy/paste to Excel. Not very optimal, especially when the phone rings or something else happens to interrupt my sampling frequency. Is there a way to have script in SQL*Plus run a query evern n seconds, spool the results to a file, and then continue doing this until the job ends? (Oracle 10g)

  Hello guys! I have to capture the following keyboard event in a TextBox - SHIFT + 8(on the numpad). This also means the NumLock will be on. When I try the following, nothing is printed: private void textBox1_KeyDown(object sender, KeyEventArgs e) { if (e.Shift && e.KeyCode == Keys.NumPad8) Console.WriteLine("SHIFT + UP"); } But CTRL + 8(on the numpad) is working. private void textBox1_KeyDown(object sender, KeyEventArgs e) { if (e.Control && e.KeyCode == Keys.NumPad8) Console.WriteLine("CTRL + UP"); } Could someone explain me, why SHIFT + 8 isn't fired, but CTRL + 8 is working? P.S. I wrote + UP, because the user wants to navigate with the numpad arrows and the SHIFT key, but his NumLock will also be on. That's why I catch Keys.NumPad8. All the best, Petar

A friend emailed me the following 720K diskette images: INSTALLE.IMG RDBMS1.IMG RDBMS2.IMG RDBMS3.IMG RSF.IMG SQLLDR1.IMG SQLLDR2.IMG UTIL1.IMG UTIL2.IMG UTIL3.IMG Within Virtual PC, I capture a diskette image, one at a time, into Drive A: VPC's floppy disk emulation supports FAT12, so the supported diskette formats can be: 720K or 1.44MB. If anyone happens to have documentation for this legacy version, I would greatly appreciate a copy of it! Thank You.

• Single Large v/s Multiple Small MySQL tables for storing Options

  Hi there, I'm aware of several question on this forum relating to this. But I'm not talking about splitting tables for the same entity (like user for example) Suppose I have a huge options table that stores list options like Gender, Marital Status, and many more domain specific groups with same structure. I plan to capture in a OPTIONS table. Another simple option is to have the field set as ENUM, but there are disadvantages of that as well. http://www.brandonsavage.net/why-you-should-replace-enum-with-something-else/ OPTIONS Table: option_id <will be referred instead of the name> name value group Query: select .. from options where group = '15' - Since this table is expected to be multi-tenant, the no of rows could grow drastically. - I believe splitting the tables instead of finding by the group would be easier to write & faster to execute. - or perhaps partitioning by the group or tenant?
