• openssl client authentication error: tlsv1 alert unknown ca: ... SSL alert number 48

  I've generated a certificate using openssl and place it on the client's machine, but when I try to connect to my server using that certificate, I error mentioned in the subject line back from my server. Here's what I've done. 1) I do a test connect using openssl to see what the acceptable client certificate CA names are for my server, I issue this command from my client machine to my server: openssl s_client -connect myupload.mysite.net:443/cgi-bin/posupload.cgi -prexit and part of what I get back is as follow: Acceptable client certificate CA names /C=US/ST=Colorado/L=England/O=Inteliware/OU=Denver Office/CN=Tim Drake/[email protected] /C=US/ST=Colorado/O=Inteliware/OU=Denver Office/CN=myupload.mysite.net/[email protected] 2) Here is what is in the apache configuration file on the server regarding SSL client authentication: SSLCACertificatePath /etc/apache2/certs SSLVerifyClient require SSLVerifyDepth 10 3) I generated a self-signed client certificate called "client.pem" using mypos.pem and mypos.key, so when I run this command: openssl x509 -in client.pem -noout -issuer -subject -serial here is what is returned: issuer= /C=US/ST=Colorado/O=Inteliware/OU=Denver Office/CN=myupload.mysite.net/[email protected] subject= /C=US/ST=Colorado/O=Inteliware/OU=Denver Office/CN=mlR::mlR/[email protected] serial=0E (please note that mypos.pem is in /etc/apache2/certs/ and mypos.key is saved in /etc/apache2/certs/private/) 4) I put client.pem on the client machine, and on the client machine, I run the following command: openssl s_client -connect myupload.mysite.net:443/cgi-bin/posupload.cgi -status -cert client.pem and I get this error: CONNECTED(00000003) OCSP response: no response sent depth=1 /C=US/ST=Colorado/L=England/O=Inteliware/OU=Denver Office/CN=Tim Drake/[email protected] verify error:num=19:self signed certificate in certificate chain verify return:0 574:error:14094418:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:tlsv1 alert unknown ca:/SourceCache/OpenSSL098/OpenSSL098-47/src/ssl/s3_pkt.c:1102:SSL alert number 48 574:error:140790E5:SSL routines:SSL23_WRITE:ssl handshake failure:/SourceCache/OpenSSL098/OpenSSL098-47/src/ssl/s23_lib.c:182: I'm really stumped as to what I've done wrong. I've searched quite a bit on this error and what I found is that people are saying the issuing CA of the client's certificate is not trusted by the server, yet when I look at the issuer of my client certificate, it matches to one of the accepted CA returned by my server.   At our office, any of our Windows 7 Clients get this error message when we try and RDP to a remote W2K8 Server outside of the office :- Your system administrator does not allow the user of saved credentials to log on to the remote computer XXX because its identity is not fully verified. Please enter new credentials A quick google search leads to some posts they all suggest I edit group policy, etc. I'm under the impression, that the common fix for this, is to follow those instructions -per Windows7 machine-. Ack :( Is there anyway I can do something via our office Active Directory .. which auto updates all Windows 7 clients in the office LAN?

  Hey all i am in need of some helpful tips/advice on how to go about my problem. I have a database that houses a "signup" table. The date for this table is formated as such: 2010-04-03 00:00:00 Now suppose i have 10 records in this database: 2010-04-03 00:00:00 2010-01-01 00:00:00 2010-06-22 00:00:00 2010-02-08 00:00:00 2010-02-05 00:00:00 2010-03-08 00:00:00 2010-09-29 00:00:00 2010-11-16 00:00:00 2010-04-09 00:00:00 2010-05-21 00:00:00 And i wanted to get each months total registers... so following the example above: Jan = 1 Feb = 2 Mar = 1 Apr = 2 May = 1 Jun = 1 Jul = 0 Aug = 0 Sep = 1 Oct = 0 Nov = 1 Dec = 0 Now how can i use a query to do that but not have to use a query like: WHERE left(date, 7) = '2010-01' and keep doing that 12 times? I would like it to be a single query call and just have it place the months visits into a array like so: do until EOF theMonthArray[0] = "total for jan" theMonthArray[1] = "total for feb" theMonthArray[2] = "total for mar" theMonthArray[3] = "total for apr" ...etc loop I just can not think of a way to do that other than the example i posted with the 12 query called-one for each month. • Building error in Eclipse with build.xml

  I am working on a Java project with Eclipse. This project requires a second project (not mine), named sams in its build-path. The sams is provided with a build.xml file and it should generate some code using Apache CXF when building it. • Temporarily disable an AD server

  Topology and setup We have main office A, and branch office (abroad) B. Our ISP somehow messed up the MPLS, and office A<B will not be connected until a few days. At location B, we have an AD (and the other two ADs at location A). Location A also have an exchange server. The problems A few users at A have problem to login to their computers running Windows XP, the logon process kind of hangs where "Applying computer policies". Additionally, I can't start the Exchange management shell, it fails on get-recipient because the AD abroad (location B) is unreachable. Solution? I could delete the AD at B, but Im pretty sure it will be a hazzle to re-join it, and since the office is abroad it's not an option to just go there and re-install it - re join, I now wonder how I in location As primary and secondary ADs can temporarily disable AD at location B.

  Our company has a handful of field offices that have recently been setup with a regular internet connection after we removed the T1 and router that connected them directly to our network. Now, when the users are in the office, they log in to the VPN to be able to connect to the network. For the sake of them being able to print and scan from the local multi-function we have setup a split tunnel VPN. We currently have about 15-20 users using this setup around the country without any problems. Recently one of our users started having problems accessing internal programs/sites when connecting from both home and the office. There are three other users in the same office and they do not have this problem. I assumed that it was something with the computer and went ahead and replaced it with another of the same model. The computer worked fine in our home office; however, when the user received it, she had the exact same problem both at home and in the field office. Thinking it may be a NIC driver issue I sent her another computer, this time a different model, same problem occurred. If I update the host file to point to the correct paths, things will work, and if I connect via a normal VPN connection everything works, but the user cannot scan or print - which is a problem. Have tried to find ways to create another tunnel on a normal VPN and have tried to find ways to force the correct tunnel on the split tunnel VPN. It appears that there is something related to the ISP because if I connect to Comcast or Verizon it is fine but once she connects to Insite then she has problems. I have been unable to get any support from Insite as they don't feel the issue is with them. We use a Nortel VPN client. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

• PHP Magento SOAP-ERROR: Parsing WSDL: Couldn't load from urlpath

  I am trying to create a soap client by passing a url that is hosted on my local machine, my dev environment and I keep getting this error. I use to be able to make this call and it worked just fine. Basically all I am doing is this $client = new SoapClient('http://virtual.website.com:81/api/?wsdl'); If I go to the url in a browser it comes up, so I know it is the right location. On the Magento forums there are some similar posts but I don't know that this is a Magento specific problem. Everything they mention as a solution I already have. They say to edit the hosts file for example 127.0.0.1 website.com I already have this since it is setup as a virtual host. • GMail appearing to ignore Reply-To.

  I'm using a gmail account to send emails from my website. I'm using the same account to pick up emails which are generated by the contact facility on my site. I'm using the Reply-To field to attempt to make it easier to hit reply and easily get back to people. The message comes up with the 'from' address and ignores the 'reply-to' address.   I am running Windows 7 at my office and Windows XP at home. I have seen the new Remote Desktop and want to use (I have three monitors at office and three at home) In the specs I saw where in order to use the multimon features you must connect to a Windows 7 client (I am running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit in my office) When I connect to it (from XP running RDP 7) I can't get all my monitors to come up, just one Is there something I am doing wrong? • Get percentiles of data-set with group by month

  Hello, I have a SQL table with a whole load of records that look like this: | Date | Score | + -----------+-------+ | 01/01/2010 | 4 | | 02/01/2010 | 6 | | 03/01/2010 | 10 | ... | 16/03/2010 | 2 | I'm plotting this on a chart, so I get a nice line across the graph indicating score-over-time. Lovely. Now, what I need to do is include the average score on the chart, so we can see how that changes over time, so I can simply add this to the mix: SELECT YEAR(SCOREDATE) 'Year', MONTH(SCOREDATE) 'Month', MIN(SCORE) MinScore, AVG(SCORE) AverageScore, MAX(SCORE) MaxScore FROM SCORES GROUP BY YEAR(SCOREDATE), MONTH(SCOREDATE) ORDER BY YEAR(SCOREDATE), MONTH(SCOREDATE) That's no problem so far. The problem is, how can I easily calculate the percentiles at each time-period? I'm not sure that's the correct phrase. What I need in total is: A line on the chart for the score (easy) A line on the chart for the average (easy) A line on the chart showing the band that 95% of the scores occupy (stumped) It's the third one that I don't get. • Network use of Gaming PC

  Background After YEARS of waiting, I built the custom gaming PC of my dreams: Intel i7 - 975 Extreme Edition 3.3ghz (overclocked to 4.0) ATI Radeon 5970 2gb Corsair 256 gb SSD Drive 2 TB Sata II 3.0 7200rpm data drive 12 GB Kingston Hyper-X (1600mhz) DDR3 Windows 7 Ultra 64 bit And so on. . . Problem I hooked this beast up to our home theater and settled in for a great gaming season only to realize a couple of drawbacks: It's hard to accurately wax bad guys using a keyboard in your lap whilst reclined on your couch (and using a wireless keyboard). It's hard to read the text on the screen (i.e. menus, etc). I find that a 1:1 ratio (screen diagonal inch to inch away from screen) is optimum, but using the home theater, it's more like 1:3 which has me squinting unless I sit on the coffee table. The wife always seems to want the TV the same time I do and, unfortunately "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and Battlefield BC don't mix. I am losing the battle in the home theater room, but the PC has to stay there (long story). So, this leaves me with the option of playing in my home office which is about 30 feet away from the home theater. I am a software developer so I have a pretty decent set up in my office--multiple 1080p monitors, HP Envy 17 which can run games like Crysis in 720p with out stammering too much. Also, I can game very comfortably at my desk in the office. Still, even though the set up in my office can run games well enough, I don't want to regress to that when I have worked YEARS for an awesome gaming PC that can run everything on ultra high settings. My Question What are my options for running my games on the beastly desktop in the Home Theater, but physically playing in my office about 30 feet away? A really long HDMI cable? LAN/RDC? Details that May Help We have an open crawlspace so running cable from HT room to office is no problem. I already have networked the house with a LAN Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks, Matt

  Hi, I have a safe office 500 box at my edge. (checkpoint's hardware firewall) I'm trying to connect to another office VPN using windows 7 pptp connection. It fails (saying something about enabling GRE). (after authenticating, hangs for a while, than give the error message.) Using the same computer with direct internet access (not behind the firewalls) works fine and I get connected. how do I setup the safe office to enable me to use vpn (pptp) out connections.

  I need to parse strings inputs where the columns are separated by columns and any field that contains a comma in the data is wrapped in quotes (commas separated, quoted text identifiers). For this project I need to remove the quotes and any commas that occur between pairs of quotes. Basically, I need to remove commas and quotes that are contained in fields while preserving the commas that are used to separate the fields. Here's a little code I put together that handles the simple scenario: // Sample input 1: This works and covers 99% of the records that I need to parse. string str1 = "[email protected],2010/03/27 12:2:02,,some_first_name,some_last_name,,\"This Address Works, Suite 200\",Some City,TN,09876-5432,9795551212x123,XYZ"; str1 = Regex.Replace(str1, "\"([^\"^,]*),([^\"^,]*)\"", "$1$2"); Console.WriteLine(str1); // Outputs: [email protected],2010/03/27 12:2:02,,some_first_name,some_last_name,,This Address Works Suite 200,Some City,TN,09876-5432,9795551212x123,XYZ Although this code works for most of my records, it doesn't work when a field contains more than one commas. What I would like to do is modify the code so that it remove each instance of a comma contained within the column no matter how many commas there are in the field. I don't want to hard code only handling 2 commas, or 3 commas, or 25 commas. The code should just remove all the commas in the field. • Querying datetime.datetime on appengine acts different then dev server help!

  Hey, I'm having some trouble with stuff that work locally and dont work on the app engine python environment: Basically, i want to get a program from an epg between ranges of date and time. i know i cannot do two where < so i saw a suggestion to save the dates as list as datetime.datetime which i did. [datetime.datetime(2010, 5, 10, 14, 25), datetime.datetime(2010, 5, 10, 15, 0)] This is ok. but when i try to compare to it: progranon = get_object(Programs2Channel, 'channel_id =', channelobj.key(), 'endstartdate >', programstart_minex, 'endstartdate <', programstart_minex ) This for some reason works locally, but fails to retrieve the data on the app engine. *Im using Google app engine django patch which uses the get_object to retrieve data in transactions. Please help. • Remote Desktop over SSH SOCKS proxy to bypass firewall

  Hi folks, I'm trying to connect to a Windows server from my Mac using RDC2.1 for Mac. The problem is the server I need to connect to is guarded by the evil dragon - IP-based access control on a completely separate network. I have an IP I can get in on, but it's at my office (i.e. a completely separate network). Because that network isn't set up for VPN, I've set up a SOCKS proxy through an SSH tunnel (which is all working fine). (SSH proxy) Me (on my Mac) ----------> Office Linux box ----> Windows server (home network) (office network) (other network) From my Linux server in my office (the SSH server) I can telnet to port 3389 on the Windows server, no problem. But from my Mac I can't get so much as a squeak out of it. Any ideas?

• Using PLINQ to calculate and update values within the enclosure does not work

  I recently needed to do a running total on a report. Where for each group, I order the rows and then calculate the running total based on the previous rows within the group. Aha! I thought, a perfect use case for PLINQ! However, when I wrote up the code, I got some strange behavior. The values I was modifying showed as being modified when stepping through the debugger, but when they were accessed they were always zero.
