  • Unable to load WSDL file error in flex while making a call to a web service.

    - by Angeline Aarthi
    I am trying to call a webservice from my Flex application and this is the code: <mx:WebService id="myWebService" wsdl="http://172.16.111.103:22222/cics/services/PRESENT1?wsdl"> <mx:operation name="PRESENT1Operation" result="resultHandler(event)" fault="faultHandler(event)"> </mx:operation> </mx:WebService> //Function to send customer id to the wsdl request private function searchDetails():void{ myWebService.PRESENT1Operation.send(cusNo.text); cusDetails.visible=true; } The webservice is up and running. I have a separate Java application to test the webservice, And I am able to execute it properly. I am able to request the webservice and get response. But If I try to call the webservice through the Flex application, I get the following error. [RPC Fault faultString="HTTP request error" faultCode="Server.Error.Request" faultDetail="Unable to load WSDL. • Python PyQt Timer Firmata

    - by George Cullins
    Hello. I am pretty new to python and working with firmata I am trying to play around with an arduino . Here is what I want to happen: Set arduino up with an LED as a digital out Set potentiometer to analog 0 Set PyQt timer up to update potentiometer position in application Set a threshold in PyQt to turn LED on (Analog in has 1024bit resolution, so say 800 as the threshold) I am using this firmata library : Link Here is the code that I am having trouble with: import sys from PyQt4 import QtCore, QtGui from firmata import * # Arduino setup self.a = Arduino('COM3') self.a.pin_mode(13, firmata.OUTPUT) # Create timer self.appTimer = QtCore.QTimer(self) self.appTimer.start(100) self.appTimer.event(self.updateAppTimer()) def updateAppTimer(self): self.analogPosition = self.a.analog_read(self, 0) self.ui.lblPositionValue.setNum() I am getting the error message: Traceback (most recent call last): File "D:\Programming\Eclipse\IO Demo\src\control.py", line 138, in myapp = MainWindow() File "D:\Programming\Eclipse\IO Demo\src\control.py", line 56, in init self.appTimer.event(self.updateAppTimer()) File "D:\Programming\Eclipse\IO Demo\src\control.py", line 60, in updateAppTimer self.analogPosition = self.a.analog_read(self, 0) TypeError: analog_read() takes exactly 2 arguments (3 given) If I take 'self' out I get the same error message but that only 1 argument is given What is python doing implicitly that I am not aware of? • WPF ICommand over a button

    - by toni
    I have implemented a custom IComand class for one of my buttons. The button is placed in a page 'MyPage.xaml' but its custom ICommand class is placed in another class, not in the MyPage code behind. Then from XAML I want to bind the button with its custom command class and then I do: MyPage.xaml: <Page ...> <Page.CommandBindings> <CommandBinding Command="RemoveAllCommand" CanExecute="CanExecute" Executed="Execute" /> </Page.CommandBindings> <Page.InputBindings> <MouseBinding Command="RemoveAllCommand" MouseAction="LeftClick" /> </Page.InputBindings> <...> <Button x:Name="MyButton" Command="RemoveAllCommand" .../> <...> </Page> and the custom command button class: // Here I derive from MyPage class because I want to access some objects from // Execute method public class RemoveAllCommand : MyPage, ICommand { public void Execute(Object parameter) { <...> } public bool CanExecute(Object parameter) { <...> } public event EventHandler CanExecuteChanged { add { CommandManager.RequerySuggested += value; } remove { CommandManager.RequerySuggested -= value; } } } My problem is how to say MyPage.xaml that Execute and CanExecute methods for the button is in another class and not the code behind where is placed the button. How to say these methods are in RemoveAllCommand Class in XAML page. Also I want to fire this command when click mouse event is produced in the button so I do an input binding, is it correct? Thanks

  • log4Net EventlogAppender does not work for Asp.Net 2.0 WebSite?

    - by Amitabh
    I have configured log4Net EventLogAppender for Asp.Net 2.0. However it does not log anything. I have following in my Web.Config. <log4net> <appender name="EventLogAppender" type="log4net.Appender.EventLogAppender"> <param name="LogName" value="Test Log" /> <param name="ApplicationName" value="Test-Web" /> <layout type="log4net.Layout.PatternLayout"> <conversionPattern value="%date [%thread] %-5level %logger [%property{NDC}] - %message%newline" /> </layout> </appender> <root> <priority value="ERROR"/> <appender-ref ref="EventLogAppender"/> </root> <logger name="NHibernate"> <level value="ERROR" /> <appender-ref ref="EventLogAppender" /> </logger> </log4net> I already have Test-Log Event Log created and AspNet user has permission on the Event Log registry entry. I also have log4Net configured in Global.asax Application_Start. log4net.Config.XmlConfigurator.Configure();

  • Problem upgrading eclipse rcp app from 3.3 to 3.5 on Mac OS

    - by Alb
    I previously had an eclipse rcp app based on eclipse 3.3 pugins deployed on both windows and mac OS X 10.4. i'm now trying to port the app to java 1.6 and eclipse 3.5 (Build id: 20100218-1602) plugins on Mac OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard). I can launch the product from eclipse 3.5 on windows but not on Mac OS X. I have the 64bit cocoa eclipse IDE and java 6. In the launch configuration I set runtime JRE to JVM 1.6.0 and added required plugins. The plugins validate and everything else looks similar to windows configuration where it works, but when I launch i only get the following two lines in the console: 2010-03-16 13:29:32.742 java[758:10b] [Java CocoaComponent compatibility mode]: Enabled 2010-03-16 13:29:32.744 java[758:10b] [Java CocoaComponent compatibility mode]: Setting timeout for SWT to 0.100000 and then the program appears to just hang indefinitely. There is nothing written to the .log file so I'm not sure what error there is. • LoginView inside FormView control is not databinding on PostBack

    - by subkamran
    I have a fairly simple form: <asp:FormView> <EditItemTemplate> <asp:LoginView> <RoleGroups> <asp:RoleGroup roles="Blah"> <ContentTemplate> <!-- Databound Controls using Bind/Eval --> </ContentTemplate> </asp:RoleGroup> </RoleGroups> </asp:LoginView> <!-- Databound Controls --> </EditItemTemplate> </asp:FormView> <asp:LinqDataSource OnUpdating="MyDataSource_Updating" /> I handle my LinqDataSource OnUpdating event and do some work handling some M:N fields. That all works. However, once the update is finished (and I call e.Cancel = true), the LoginView control does not databind its children... so they are all blank. The FormView's viewstate is still fine, as all the rest of the controls outside of the LoginView appear fine. I even handle the FormView_DataBound event and a Trace shows that the FormView is being databound on postback. Why then is the LoginView not keeping its ViewState/being databound? Here's a sample code snippet showing the flow: protected void MyDataSource_Updating(object s, LinqDataSourceUpdateEventArgs e) { try { Controller.DoSomething(newData); // attempts to databind again here fail // frmView.DataBind(); // MyDataSource.DataBind(); // LoginView.DataBind(); } catch { // blah } finally { e.Cancel = true; } }

  • Boost in Visual Studio 2010, IntelliSense error

    - by Peretz
    Hello, I would like to see if you could orient me. It happens that I compiled and referenced the boost libraries in order to use them with Visual Studio 2010. When building my test project I get these two IntelliSense errors 1 IntelliSense: #error directive: "Macro BOOST_LIB_NAME not set (internal error)" c:\boost_1_43_0\boost\config\auto_link.hpp 2 IntelliSense: #error directive: "some required macros where not defined (internal logic error)." c:\boost_1_43_0\boost\config\auto_link.hpp Checking the auto_link.hpp header file the first error is in this line #ifndef BOOST_LIB_NAME # error "Macro BOOST_LIB_NAME not set (internal error)" #endif Tracing the definition of BOOST_LIB_NAME, it seems that is defined in config.hpp by boost_regex, which code I am including below #if !defined(BOOST_REGEX_NO_LIB) && !defined(BOOST_REGEX_SOURCE) && !defined(BOOST_ALL_NO_LIB) && defined(__cplusplus) # define BOOST_LIB_NAME boost_regex # if defined(BOOST_REGEX_DYN_LINK) || defined(BOOST_ALL_DYN_LINK) # define BOOST_DYN_LINK ... more code and strangely when I point to BOOST_LIB_NAME it defines BOOST_LIB_NAME and the IntelliSense errors disappear. My program builds and executes fine using the Boost:Regex library -- with or without the Intellisense errors; however, I do not understand why these IntelliSense errors appear in the first place, and second why pointing the macro in the config.hpp defines BOOST_LIB_NAME. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jaime

  • Programming language shootout: code most like pseudocode for Dijkstra's Algorithm

    - by Casebash
    Okay, so this question here asked which language is most like executable pseudocode, so why not find out by actually writing some code! Here we have a competition where I will award a 100 point bounty (I know its not much, but I am poor after the recalc) to the code which most resembles this pseudocode. I've read through this a few times so I'm pretty sure that this pseudocode below is correct and about as unambiguous as pseudocode can be. Personally, I'm going to have a go in Python and probably Haskell as well, but I'm just learning the later so my attempt will probably be pretty poor. Note: Obviously to implement anything looking like this you'll have to define quite a few library functions. define DirectedGraph G with: Vertices as V, Edges as E define Vertex A, Z declare each e in E as having properties: Boolean fixed with: initial=false Real minSoFar with: initial=0 for A else infinity define PriorityQueue pq with: objects=V initial=A priority v=v.minSoFar create triggers for v in V: when v.minSoFar event reduced then pq.addOrUpdate v when v.fixed event becomesTrue then pq.remove v Repeat until Z.fixed==True: define Vertex U=pq.pop() U.fixed=True for Edge E adjacentTo U with other Vertex V: V.minSoFar=U.minSoFar+length(E) if reducesValue return Z.name, Z.minSoFar

  • Telerik RadAlert back button cache problem

    - by Michael VS
    Hi, I'm sure you have had this one before so if you could point me to something similar.... I have a server side creation of a RadAlert window using the usual Sys.Application.remove_load and add_load procedure however the alert keeps popping up as it seems to be caching when the user hits the back button after it has been activated. I have tried to put a onclick event on a button to clear the function using remove_load before it moves to the next page however it still doesn't seem to clear it. Its used in validation so if a user inputs failed validation it pops up. If they then go and enter correct validation it then moves onto the next page. If they then use back button this is where it pops up again. Any ideas? Server side: private void Page_Load(object sender, System.EventArgs e) { if (!IsPostBack) { btnSearch.Attributes.Add("onclick", "Sys.Application.remove_load(f);"); } } private void btnSearch_Click(object sender, System.EventArgs e) { string radalertscript = "(function(){var f = function(){radalert('Welcome to RadWindow Prometheus!', 330, 210); Sys.Application.remove_load(f);};Sys.Application.add_load(f);})()"; RadAjaxManager1.ResponseScripts.Add(radalertscript); } Ive also tried using RadAjaxManager1.ResponseScripts.Clear(); before it moves on to the next page on the postback event

  • How do I keep Visual Studio's Windows Forms Designer from deleting controls?

    - by Sören Kuklau
    With several forms of mine, I occasionally run into the following issue: I edit the form using the designer (Visual Studio 2008, Windows Forms, .NET 2.0, VB.NET) to add components, only to find out later that some minor adjustments were made (e.g. the form's size is suddenly changed by a few pixels), and controls get deleted. This happens silently — event-handling methods automatically have their Handles suffix removed, too, so they never get called, and there's no compiler error. I only notice much later or not at all, because I'm working on a different area in the form. As an example, I have a form with a SplitContainer containing an Infragistics UltraListView to the left, and an UltraTabControl to the right. I added a new tab, and controls within, and they worked fine. I later on found out that the list view's scrollbar was suddenly invisible, due to its size being off, and at least one control was removed from a different tab that I hadn't been working on. Is this a known issue with the WinForms Designer, or with Infragistics? I use version control, of course, so I can compare the changes and merge the deleted code back in, but it's a tedious process that shouldn't be necessary. Are there ways to avoid this? Is there a good reason for this to occur? One clue is that the control that was removed may have code (such as a Load event handler) that expects to be run in run time, not design time, and may be throwing an exception. Could this cause Visual Studio to remove the control?

  • Transforming coordinates from an image control to the image source in WPF

    - by Gabriel
    I'm trying to learn WPF, so here's a simple question, I hope: I have a window that contains an Image element bound to a separate data object with user-configurable Stretch property <Image Name="imageCtrl" Source="{Binding MyImage}" Stretch="{Binding ImageStretch}" /> When the user moves the mouse over the image, I would like to determine the coordinates of the mouse with respect to the original image (before stretching/cropping that occurs when it is displayed in the control), and then do something with those coordinates (update the image). I know I can add an event-handler to the MouseMove event over the Image control, but I'm not sure how best to transform the coordinates: void imageCtrl_MouseMove(object sender, MouseEventArgs e) { Point locationInControl = e.GetPosition(imageCtrl); Point locationInImage = ??? updateImage(locationInImage); } Now I know I could compare the size of Source to the ActualSize of the control, and then switch on imageCtrl.Stretch to compute the scalars and offsets on X and Y, and do the transform myself. But WPF has all the information already, and this seems like functionality that might be built-in to the WPF libraries somewhere. So I'm wondering: is there a short and sweet solution? Or do I need to write this myself? EDIT I'm appending my current, not-so-short-and-sweet solution. Its not that bad, but I'd be somewhat suprised if WPF didn't provide this functionality automatically: Point ImgControlCoordsToPixelCoords(Point locInCtrl, double imgCtrlActualWidth, double imgCtrlActualHeight) { if (ImageStretch == Stretch.None) return locInCtrl; Size renderSize = new Size(imgCtrlActualWidth, imgCtrlActualHeight); Size sourceSize = bitmap.Size; double xZoom = renderSize.Width / sourceSize.Width; double yZoom = renderSize.Height / sourceSize.Height; if (ImageStretch == Stretch.Fill) return new Point(locInCtrl.X / xZoom, locInCtrl.Y / yZoom); double zoom; if (ImageStretch == Stretch.Uniform) zoom = Math.Min(xZoom, yZoom); else // (imageCtrl.Stretch == Stretch.UniformToFill) zoom = Math.Max(xZoom, yZoom); return new Point(locInCtrl.X / zoom, locInCtrl.Y / zoom); }

  • Only first UIView added view addSubview shows correct orientation

    - by Brian Underwood
    I've got three ViewControllers set up to handle three views. The problem that I'm having is that in the simulator the orientation is LandscapeRight (which is what I want), and the first view shows up correctly in that landscape view, but when I move onto the second and third views, they show up rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise with the upper-left corner of the view in the lower left corner of the phone's screen. I've been trying to debug this for a few days and the closest that I've gotten to a clue is tracing it the following way: The following is in my app delegate's applicationDidFinishLaunching: NSLog(@"1"); [window addSubview:welcomeController.view]; NSLog(@"2"); [window addSubview:goalController.view]; NSLog(@"3"); [window addSubview:planningController.view]; NSLog(@"4"); [window bringSubviewToFront:welcomeController.view]; NSLog(@"5"); Each of my ViewControllers implement something similar to the following (the only change being the controller's name switched out in the string passed to NSLog): - (BOOL)shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)interfaceOrientation { // Return YES for supported orientations NSLog(@"called for WelcomeController"); return (interfaceOrientation == UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeRight); } With that, I get the following output on the Console: a called for WelcomeController called for WelcomeController called for WelcomeController called for WelcomeController 2 called for GoalController 3 called for PlanningController 4 5 I find it interesting that shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation is called 4 times for the first view that's added, while the other two only get called once. I expect that this is probably because it's got to do some setup at first (and I believe that the simulator starts off in portrait mode, so it's might be calling it while doing the rotation), but I find the correlation a bit suspicious. I've switched the order around so that the addSubview is called for the goalController first and the welcomeController second. In this case, it's the goalController which displays in the correct landscape orientation (it's normally the welcome controller). This would seem to eliminate my XIB files and the ViewControllers themselves. I'm not sure why the first view where addSubview is called is special. I also tried using insertSubview at index 0 with the same results.

  • Automatically calling OnDetaching() for Silverlight Behaviors

    - by Dan Auclair
    I am using several Blend behaviors and triggers on a silverlight control. I am wondering if there is any mechanism for automatically detaching or ensuring that OnDetaching() is called for a behavior or trigger when the control is no longer being used (i.e. removed from the visual tree). My problem is that there is a managed memory leak with the control because of one of the behaviors. The behavior subscribes to an event on some long-lived object in the OnAttached() override and should be unsubscribing to that event in the OnDetaching() override so that it can become a candidate for garbage collection. However, OnDetaching() never seems to be getting called when I remove the control from the visual tree... the only way I can get it to happen is by explicit detaching the behavior BEFORE removing the control and then it is properly garbage collected. Right now my only solution was to create a public method in the code-behind for the control that can go through and detach any known behaviors that would cause garbage collection problems. It would be up to the client code to know to call this before removing the control from the panel. I don't really like this approach, so I am looking for some automatic way of doing this that I am overlooking or a better suggestion. public void DetachBehaviors() { foreach (var behavior in Interaction.GetBehaviors(this.LayoutRoot)) { behavior.Detach(); } //... //continue detaching all known problematic behaviors.... }

  • Javascript menu that hovers over initial element

    - by TenJack
    I'm trying to build a javascript menu using prototype that when you mouseover an element, that element is hidden and a bigger element is shown in its place that closes onmouseout. This is what I have so far to give you an idea, but it doesn't work and is buggy. I'm not sure what the best general approach is: EDIT: using the prototype refactor from remi bourgarel: function socialMenuInit(){ var social_menu = $('sociable_menu'); social_menu.hide(); var share_words = $('share_words'); Event.observe(share_words,"mouseover",function(){ share_words.hide(); social_menu.show(); }); Event.observe(social_menu,"mouseout",function(){ social_menu.hide(); share_words.show(); }); } EDIT: The main problem now is that the second bigger menu(social_menu) that is shown on top of the smaller mouseover triggering element(share_words) only closes when you mouseout the smaller trigger element even though this element is hidden. EDIT: This is the html and css I am using: <div id="share_words">share</div> <div id="sociable_menu"></div> #share_words{ display: none; border: 1px solid white; position: absolute; right: 320px; top:0px; padding: 4px; background-image: url('/images/icons/group.png'); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position:7px 6px; text-indent:26px; color: white; z-index: 15; } #sociable_menu{ border: 1px solid black; padding: 5px; position: absolute; right: 275px; top: -10px; z-index: 20; } Thanks for any help.

  • Is it possible to create a custom, animated MKAnnotationView?

    - by smountcastle
    I'm trying to simulate the user location animation in MapKit (where-by the user's position is represented by a pulsating blue dot). I've created a custom subclass of MKAnnotationView and in the drawRect method I'm attempting to cycle through a set of colors. Here's a simpler implementation of what I'm doing: - (void)drawRect:(CGRect)rect { float magSquared = event.magnitude * event.magnitude; CGContextRef context = UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext(); if (idx == -1) { r[0] = 1.0; r[1] = 0.5; r[2] = 0; b[0] = 0; b[1] = 1.0; b[2] = 0.5; g[0] = 0.5; g[1] = 0; g[2] = 1.0; idx = 0; } // CGContextSetRGBFillColor(context, 1.0, 1.0 - magSquared * 0.015, 0.211, .6); CGContextSetRGBFillColor(context, r[idx], g[idx], b[idx], 0.75); CGContextFillEllipseInRect(context, rect); idx++; if (idx > 3) idx = 0; } Unfortunately this just causes the annotations to be one of the 3 different colors and doesn't cycle through them. Is there a way to force the MKAnnotations to continually redraw so that it appears to be animated?

  • Asynchronuos callback saves value but prints FAILED

    - by sprasad12
    Hi, I am using nested Asynchronous callbacks to save my front-end data to the back-end database. The data is being save into the tables the way i want them to, but it is printing that it failed. Here is the code: oksave.addClickHandler(new ClickHandler(){ public void onClick(ClickEvent event) { if(erasync == null) erasync = GWT.create(EntityRelationService.class); AsyncCallback<Void> callback = new AsyncCallback<Void>(){ public void onFailure(Throwable caught) { String msg = caught.getLocalizedMessage(); if (caught instanceof NotFoundException) { msg = ((NotFoundException) caught).getType() + ((NotFoundException) caught).getMessage(); } System.out.println("Failed" + msg); } public void onSuccess(Void result) { Label success = new Label("Name : " + pname.getText() + " was successfully saved"); Button close = new Button("close"); VerticalPanel sp = new VerticalPanel(); d1 = new DialogBox(); sp.add(success); sp.add(close); close.addClickHandler(new ClickHandler(){ @Override public void onClick(ClickEvent event) { if(erasync == null) erasync = GWT.create(EntityRelationService.class); AsyncCallback<Void> callbackOthers = new AsyncCallback<Void>(){ @Override public void onFailure(Throwable caught) { String msg = caught.getLocalizedMessage(); if (caught instanceof NotFoundException) { msg = ((NotFoundException) caught).getType() + ((NotFoundException) caught).getMessage(); } System.out.println("Failed" + msg); } @Override public void onSuccess(Void result) { System.out.println("Success"); } }; erasync.setEntityType(name, top, left, pname, callbackOthers); }); }; erasync.setProject(name, callback); }); Here it prints successful for the first callback, but for the nested one it says failed though it saves the value. Am i missing something? Any input will be of great help. Thank you.

  • Equivalent of typedef in C#

    - by Matthew Scharley
    Is there a typedef equivalent in C#, or someway to get some sort of similar behaviour? I've done some googling, but everywhere I look seems to be negative. Currently I have a situation similar to the following: class GenericClass<T> { public event EventHandler<EventData> MyEvent; public class EventData : EventArgs { /* snip */ } // ... snip } Now, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that this can very quickly lead to alot of typing (appologies for the horrible pun) when trying to implement a handler for that event. It'd end up being something like this: GenericClass<int> gcInt = new GenericClass<int>; gcInt.MyEvent += new EventHandler<GenericClass<int>.EventData>(gcInt_MyEvent); // ... private void gcInt_MyEvent(object sender, GenericClass<int>.EventData e) { throw new NotImplementedException(); } Except, in my case, I was already using a complex type, not just an int. It'd be nice if it was possible to simplify this a little... Edit: ie. perhaps typedefing the EventHandler instead of needing to redefine it to get similar behaviour.

  • javascript removeChild(this) from input[type="submit"] onclick breaks future use of form.submit() un

    - by maximumduncan
    I have come across some strange behaviour, and I'm assuming a bug in firefox, when removing a input submit element from the DOM from within the click event. The following code reproduces the issue: <form name="test_form"> <input type="submit" value="remove me" onclick="this.parentNode.removeChild(this);" /> <input type="submit" value="submit normally" /> <input type="button" value="submit via js" onclick="document.test_form.submit();" /> </form> To reproduce: Click "remove me" Click "submit via js". Note that the form does not get submitted, this is the problem. Click "submit normally". Note that the form still gets submitted normally. It appears that, under Firefox, if you remove a submit button from within the click event it puts the form in an invalid state so that any future calls to form.submit() are simply ignored. But it is a javascript-specific issue as normal submit buttons within this form still function fine. To be honest, this is such a simple example of this issue that I was expecting the internet to be awash with other people exeriencing it, but so far searching has yealded nothing useful. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, did you get to the bottom of it? Many thanks

  • Hibernate - Batch update returned unexpected row count from update: 0 actual row count: 0 expected:

    - by Sujee
    Hi All, I get following hibernate error. I am able to identify the function which causes the issue. Unfortunately there are several DB calls in the function. I am unable to find the line which causes the issue since hibernate flush the session at the end of the transaction. The below mentioned hibernate error looks like a general error. it doesn't even mentioned which Bean causes the issue. Anyone familiar with this hibernate error? Looking forward your help. Thanks in advance. • Manipulating a Storyboard's target object

    - by slugster
    In the handler for the Completed event of a Storyboard, how do i get the element that the storyboard was being applied to? My Storyboard is part of an ItemTemplate: <ListBox x:Name="MyListBox" > <ListBox.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Grid x:Name="Container" Height="30" > <Grid.Resources> <Storyboard x:Name="FadeOut" BeginTime="0:0:7" Completed="FadeOut_Completed"> <DoubleAnimation From="1.0" To="0.0" Duration="0:0:3" Storyboard.TargetName="Container" Storyboard.TargetProperty="Opacity" /> </Storyboard> </Grid.Resources> [...snip...] </Grid> </DataTemplate> </ListBox.ItemTemplate> </ListBox> in the Completed event i want to grab the grid called Container so that i can do nasty things with its DataContext. Can this be done, or am i going about it the wrong way? Thanks :)

  • Gridview and Modal popup not updating

    - by rs
    I have page with following controls <asp:UpdatePanel ID="up1" runat="server" UpdateMode="Conditional"> <ContentTemplate> <uc2:CountryControl ID="Country1" runat="server" /> <br class = "br_e" /> <br class = "br_e" /> <asp:UpdatePanel ID="upCountry2" runat="server" UpdateMode="Conditional"> <ContentTemplate> <asp:Panel runat="server" ID="pnCountry" Width="400px" Visible="false"> <asp:GridView ID="gvCountry" runat="server" AllowSorting="true" DataKeyNames="countryid" DataSourceID="data_country1" AutoGenerateColumns="false"> <Columns> <asp:CommandField ButtonType="Link" ShowDeleteButton="true" /> <asp:BoundField HeaderText="Country" DataField="CountryName" SortExpression="CountryName" /> </Columns> </asp:GridView> <asp:SqlDataSource ID="data_country1" runat="server" ConnectionString="<%$ zyx %>" SelectCommand="xyz" SelectCommandType="StoredProcedure"> <SelectParameters> <asp:SessionParameter Name="country" DefaultValue="" ConvertEmptyStringToNull="true" SessionField="CountryID" Type="String" /> </SelectParameters> </asp:SqlDataSource> </asp:Panel> </ContentTemplate> </asp:UpdatePanel> </ContentTemplate> </asp:UpdatePanel> My user control is a modal popup to select country and add selected ids to a session variable. And in main page bind data using ids in session variable.Gridview - on deleting event i'm deleting that id from session and on deleted event updating both user control using a refresh method (Country1.Refresh()) and gridview panel. But updatepanel is not getting updated and even modalpopup is also not getting refreshed. What could be wrong here? Even though update and refresh events are fired and executed, why is page not getting updated?

  • Android:Multi touch doesn't work as expected?

    - by user187532
    Hi folks, Help me in resolving the below issue. I have three image buttons on screen. All these three buttons controlled under ontouchlistner as below. buttonOne.setOnTouchListener(this); buttonTwo.setOnTouchListener(this); buttonThree.setOnTouchListener(this); I override "public boolean onTouch(View v, MotionEvent event)". Under this i check for these three image buttons touch events like below. ImageButton imageBtn = (ImageButton) v; if ( imageBtn == buttonOne ) // first button touch ..Log.. else if ( imageBtn == buttonTwo ) ..Log.. else if ( imageBtn == buttonThree ) // first button touch ..Log.. My problem is, as it is under multi touch event handler like above, it does not detect when touch all three button at a time to try to produce multi touch effect, instead it detects only one imagebutton touch at a time even though i touch all three image buttons. As i am developing this project on Android 1.6 SDK, is there any problem accessing my requirement(multi touch) (or) it is a known issue? I am hoping that, when it works for single button touch, why shouldn't it work when clicking three imagebuttons at a time to produce three logs printed as per my above code? How do i resolve it for my case? Please don't question me why i am still developing on 1.6 for such a requirement. Thank you. Appreciate your suggestions !

  • Fade out when user leaves page — jquery

    - by Tom Julian Hume
    I have some simple page transitions that fade in, once the user has landed. However, I'm also trying to make the same page fade out, when the user leaves. I have found a few solutions, but they appeared to use delay(). Are there any that don't? Thanks for any help, (I'm new to this, mind!) Tom :) I am currently using this code: $(document).ready( function(){ $( 'body' ).fadeIn(2000); $('#stop').click(function (e) { e.preventDefault(); }); $('#clients').click(function() { $("#projectinfo").slideUp('slow'); $("#us").fadeOut('slow'); $("ul").fadeToggle('slow'); }); $('#information').click(function() { $("#projectinfo").slideUp('slow'); $("ul").fadeOut('slow'); $("#us").fadeToggle('slow'); }); $('#question').click(function() { $("#projectinfo").slideToggle('slow'); }); $('#question').hover(function() { $("#projectinfo").slideToggle('slow'); }); $("a").click(function(event){ event.preventDefault(); linkLocation = this.href; $("body").fadeOut(1000, redirectPage); }); function redirectPage() { });
