• Allow HTTPS cookies but not HTTP?

  I want to allow cookies for a domain but only over HTTPS -- not cookies from the same domain that come from HTTP. For example, I don't want any http://www.google.com cookies, but I do want to allow https://www.google.com cookies (because Calendars are there). Is there a way to do this? Does the goal even make sense? In Chrome, it only allows domain names, not URLs, to be added to the cookie exception list. In Firefox, it allows a protocol, but it only records the domain name, and if you click "Allow" or "Deny", it changes the same entry in the list.

  I have a vb.net program that uses mysql as its database. And it works when the computer has wampservr installed. But the program gets an unhandled exception error when the computer where its running does not have a wampserver. The only thing that is installed in it is the mysql connector net. How do I make it work. I just want the two programs to access the same mysql database. I already opened port 20 by configuring firewall. Both in TCP and UDP. What do I do? Do I have to tweak the codes? Anyone in here who have tried this before?

• Monitor Processes' Memory Usage

  We have an IBM P series box running AIX 5.3. This is our application server, whereby our J2EE application is running in Oracle's Applications Server (version 10g r2). At around 11pm till the next day 7am, we have shell scripts running, which executes Java class programs. Recently, this server has been experiencing some high memory usage, which caused some of the Java class programs throwing "Out of memory" exception . We normally use NMON to monitor the server's resources, such as CPU, I/O, memory, etc. But because of this OOM issue, we would like to know throughout the day, what are the processes which are running and how much memory each process consumed. NMON is not able to show this. Even with the "-T" parameter, it only shows the top processes and not all. Is there any thing we can use to monitor all the processes' memory?

  I am running Nginx 1.5.6 and I use the Simple Machines Forum software. Most rewrite rules seem to work properly, with the exception of the RSS feeds. In my Nginx configuration, I have the following line which is supposed to handle URLs which contain ".xml": rewrite ^/forum/(\.xml|xmlhttp)/?$ "/forum/index.php?pretty;action=$1" last; The above rule produces the following URL for the main forum, which returns a 403 Error: http://www.mydomain.com/forum/.xml/?type=rss I would like the rewrite rule to produce this type of URL, which returns code 200 (a real page): http://www.mydomain.com/forum/?type=rss;action=.xml Here is the entire block pertaining to the forum rewrites: http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=tZkAibW3 I would really appreciate some help to create a rewrite rule to do that. From my understanding, we need to add the following into the web.config file <system.web> <identity impersonate="true" /> </system.web> Also, we need to ensure that the server Jack11 can ping to the domain Watson.org. What other setting do we need to setup in order for a user of domain Watson.org (e.g. the user Watson\User1 to access the application in the Server IIS?   Hi, I try to apply flattened css to xhtml (which get from websites). I am using css4j-0.12.1.jar (from http://www.informatica.info/projects/css/) to process the url html content. For a few urls the code seems to be hang. Even no exception is thrown. For a particular stylableelement or style code doesnot return any value and hangs. For a few websites code hang in, CSSStyleDeclaration.getPropertyValue(style); and for a few websites code hang in, CSSStylableElement.getComputedStyle(); I am using the latest jar. • pure-ftpd: one readonly/non-deletable file in home directory

  Is there a way to have a file in the user's FTP home directory without the ability to modify/remove it from that directory over FTP? So the user has write permissions on his own home folder, thus the ability to remove files. An exception should be made for a single file, which has the same filename and contents for each account. The solution I'm thinking of right now to run a periodic script to check the presence of that file, and if not, put it back. But I wonder whether there's a better solution than this.

• Twitter 2 for Android crash every time I try uploading multi photos [closed]

  Hello, I'm using the new Twitter 2 on Android 2.1. Whenever I hit the button which enables me to upload multiple photos in a single tweet, I always get the error "The application Camera (process com.sonyericsson.camera) has stopped unexpectidly. Please try again". However, uploading a single photo using the camera button in Twitter have no problem, it works. My phone is Sony Ericsson x10 mini pro. I tried signing out and back in, same result. Anything I can do to fix this? • windows 2008 R2 TS printer security - can't take owership

  I have a Windows 2008 R2 server with Terminal server role installed. I'm seeing a problem with an ordinary user who is member of local printer operators group on the server. If the user opens a cmd window using ‘run as administrator’ they can run printmanager.msc without needing to enter their password again. In printmanager they can change the ownership of redirected (easy print) printers without problems. If, from the same cmd window, they use subinacl to try and change the onwership of the queue to themselves they get access denied: >subinacl.exe /printer "_#MyPrinter (2 redirected)" /setowner="MyDom\MyUsr" Elapsed Time: 00 00:00:00 Done: 1, Modified 0, Failed 1, Syntax errors 0 Last Done : _#MyPrinter (2 redirected) Last Failed: _#MyPrinter (2 redirected) - OpenPrinter Error : 5 Access denied so, same context, same action but one works and one doesn't. Any ideas for this odd behaviour? I'm using subinacl x86 on an x64 server as I can't find anything more up to date. I've tried with icacls and others but couldn't get them to do anything with printers. EDIT: added after Gregs comments regarding setacl below If I log into the TS server as Testusr and open Admin Tools Printer Admin (as administrator) and then type mydomain\testusr and the testusr's password, then I can change the ownership of the printer queue and set testusr as the owner. • How can I transfer a blog hosted on Community Server to WordPress?

  I have a blog hosted on Community Server 2.1 (old version). I want to transfer it to WordPress (.com). I have tried exporting it to the BlogML format, but it failed with an exception. I saved a copy of the full RSS feed, by setting the # of posts to show to a huge number, save, then lower it back. I have all images and do not mind having to upload and rename them one by one. There must be a way to read that RSS file and either directly import it into WordPress, or for a more complicated path, transform it with the proper XSLT into the BlogML (or other) format, to import it into WordPress?

• MySQL proxy HA with no need to reconnect after node failure

  I use MySQL with Galera wsrep to get synchronous replication, that part it's up and running I need to setup a kind of proxy to handle client connections. Since any node in cluster can fail, clients will not connect nodes directly, but only via proxy. Currently I use Galera Load Balancer which does it work, but with one exception: if one node fails, all clients connected via proxy to that node get connection error and need to reconnect. I have no control over server applications connected to proxy and some of them can't reconnect automatically and need manual restart. So the question is how to force proxy automatically redirect already connected applications to new data node, without need to reconnect?

  We have a .NET 1.1 application that we keep on a netowork share. We install the .NET Framerwork to the local PCs and also set the full trust via the following: %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\caspol -pp off -cg LocalIntranet_Zone FullTrust This has worked fine on all PCs to date however now we have a few new PCs with Win7 and the process no longer is working. The app will run fine from a local drive in Win7 but running the networked copy results in a general exception error. Any ideas on how to get this to work under Win7?

• Troubleshooting a crash with Windows 7

  I have a folder with several thousand videos (All .MPG extensions). When I open the folder with these videos, it shows up fine, but as I start scrolling down, it crashes the Windows Explorer. I removed the Length column and it was still crashing. I then removed the Date column and the problem disappeared. How do I go about troubleshooting this problem or at least identifying the file that's causing the issue.

• EC2 Apache Server not reflecting changes to PHP files

  We're running a Laravel application on an Amazon EC2 server with Apache installed. I've noticed on multiple occasions, that the server doesn't respond to changes in PHP files, even after restarting Apache. For example, if I edit a file that I'm accessing through a URL, and I break the syntax, I don't even get a PHP exception thrown. This is really strange, and has been sticking its head out more frequently these days. Is it possible Apache is caching the PHP files somewhere? Opcode caching perhaps?

• ssh crashes connecting using host names on windows

  On a new install of Windows Server 2008, I attempting to use ssh to connect to another host. I have installed putty/openssh. This works without a problem when trying a command such as: ssh 192.168.0.2 However, this will crash when trying something like: ssh testserver with the error as follows in the windows event viewer: Faulting application ssh.exe, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x40843497, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 6.0.6001.18000, time stamp 0x4791a76d, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x0004bbb8, process id 0xe94, application start time 0x01cb873195e795d5. Any suggestions? thanks in advance

• Does Win 7 still requires copying all files over before burning to a DVD-R or BD-R?

  It seems that Win 7 still needs to copy all files over to a folder, before it burns all files to the DVD-R or BD-R? I think since XP or Vista, Windows always copy everything over to a temporary folder before it will burn to an empty DVD-R. So if you just want to burn a 4GB file to an empty DVD-R, it will first make a copy of that file, and then burn it, instead of just burning it without making a copy first. And now on Win 7, it seems like it is the case also? Most other 3rd party burning tools won't make an extra copy of the files first... Win 7 is the exception. Is there a way around it? (to avoid copying over 25GB or 50GB of data before burning)

• Set nginx.conf to deny all connections except to certain files or directories

  I am trying to set up Nginx so that all connections to my numeric ip are denied, with the exception of a few arbitrary directories and files. So if someone goes to my IP, they are allowed to access the index.php file, and the phpmyadmin directory for example, but should they try to access any other directories, they will be denied. This is my server block from nginx.conf: server { listen 80; server_name localhost; location / { root html; index index.html index.htm index.php; } location ~ \.php$ { root html; fastcgi_pass unix:/var/run/php-fpm/php-fpm.sock; fastcgi_index index.php; fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME /srv/http/nginx/$fastcgi_script_name; include fastcgi_params; } } How would I proceed? • Setting up WAMP to run on a LAN

  I've installed WAMP on a Windows 7 PC, and it is running fine locally, as localhost. I want PCs on the LAN to be able to view the local server. When they load my PC's IP address in their browser, they receive a "You don't have permission to access / on this server" error. I followed this guide, but the issue remains. To recap: I've added an inbound exception to Windows Firewall for port 80 for Private and Domain connections. I've edited Apache's httpd.conf to include: Listen 80 Listen 192.168.0.5:80 < Directory "c:/wamp/www/wordpress/" allow from all < /Directory I've edited httpd-vhosts.conf to include: < VirtualHost 192.168.0.5:80 DocumentRoot "C:/wamp/www/wordpress" < /VirtualHost Any ideas?
