• iPhone cocos2d CCTMXTiledMap tile transitions

  I am using cocos2d on the iPhone and am wondering if it is possible to use a texture mask in order to create tile transitions / fringe layer. For example, a grass tile and a dirt tile, I would want a tile that had both grass and dirt in it... Has anyone done this, or is the only way to create one tile for every possible transition?

• Yahoo Pipes: filter items in a feed based on words in a text file

  I have a pipe that filters an RSS feed and removes any item that contains "stopwords" that I've chosen. Currently I've manually created a filter for each stopword in the pipe editor, but the more logical way is to read these from a file. I've figured out how to read the stopwords out of the text file, but how do I apply the filter operator to the feed, once for every stopword? The documentation states explicitly that operators can't be applied within the loop construct, but hopefully I'm missing something here.

  Hi I have a horizontal scrolling site that uses jquery to reverse the mouse axis on the scroll wheel on the mouse. This works fine on every browser apart from safari. • winsock receiving incoming data slower than expected.

  Hi folks, I have a sender machine which sends bytearray data to my prog at an interval of about 5 miliseconds/per msg, about 6 - 7 bytearray messages per seconds that is. The problem is that the winsock in my program doesn't seem to receive these bytearray fast enough. For every 10 messages sent over, I am only able to receive about 6 to 7. Any advices? Thanks.

I haven't done any web programming and am wondering where I should start? Should I just create a database and everytime an email is entered, add the email to the database, then when I want to send out an announcement just write a script that will send an email to every address?   I'm trying to run jstack command on my java application. Application is rather big, running inside jboss AS occupying about 4gb of memory. OS is Windows Server 2003 Standard edition.
