• java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError, mach-o but wrong architecture on Mac10.6.2

  I was trying to run a project in my local machine. I tried to load this jnilib file which I got from a running instance of this project on my Mac 10.6.2, System.load(lib.getAbsolutePath()); then I got this exception thrown: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError, mach-o but wrong architecture I have check the jnilib with file command: libScreenMatchProxy.jnilib: Mach-O dynamically linked shared library i386 I guess this is because the jnilib file is compiled in 32bit but the Java comes with Mac10.6 is 64bit. So I go to Java Preference and set Java to use 32bit first. But it didn't work. As mentioned above, this jnilib file is copied from a running instance of the project on my Mac, so it should work. I don't understand why it working in the installed application but not in my Eclipse.

• memory of drawables, is it better to have resources inside APK, outside APK or is it the same for me

  Hi I have an application that draws a lot of graphics and change them. Since I have many graphics, I thought of having the images outside the APK, downloaded from the internet as needed, and saved on the files application folder. But I started to get outOfMemory exceptions. The question is: Does android handle memory different if I load a graphic from APK than if I load it from 'disk'? code using APK: topView.setBackgroundResource(R.drawable.bg); code if image is outside APK: Drawable d = Drawable.createFromPath(pathName); topView.setBackgroundDrawable(d); Thanks Daniel

  I've tried several solutions I found on the web, but didn't manage to solve a problem. Since today my laptop won't find my WiFi network, but neighbours' networks are suggested. Another laptop with U12.04 does find one. What do I do?   The purpose of this post is to guide you setting up the integration between UCM and SES. On my next post I’ll show different approaches to integrate WebCenter Portal, UCM and SES based on some common scenarios. Let’s get started. WebCenter Content Configuration WebCenter Content has a component that adds functionality to the content server to allow it to be searched via the Oracle SES. To enable the component installation, go to Administration -&gt; Admin Server and select SESCrawlerExport. Click the update button and restart UCM_server1 managed server. Once the managed server is back, we’ll configure the component. In the menu, under Administration you should see SESCrawlerExport. Click on the link. You’ll see the window below. Click on Configure SESCrawlerExport. Configure the values below: Hostname: SES hostname. Feed Location: Directory where data feeds will be saved. Metadata List: List of metadata that will be searchable by SES. After updating the values click on the Update button. Come back to the SESCrawlerExport Administration UI and click on Take Snapshot button. It will create the data feeds in the specified Feed Location. To check if the correct configuration was done, please access the following URL http://&lt;ucm_server&gt;:&lt;port&gt;/cs/idcplg?IdcService=SES_CRAWLER_DOWLOAD_CONFIG&amp;source=default. Select Oracle Content Server and click the Activate button. We’ll populate the following values: HTTP endpoint for authentication: URL to WebCenter Content. Notice that /cs/idcplg was added at the end of the URL. Admin User: UCM Admin user. This user must have access to all CPOE content. Password: Password to Admin user. Authentication Type: NATIVE. Go back to the Home tab and click on Sources on the top left. Select Oracle Content Server on the right and click the Create button. Configuration URL: URL that point to the configuration file. Example: http://&lt;ucm_hostname&gt;:&lt;port&gt;/cs/idcplg?IdcService=SES_CRAWLER_DOWNLOAD_CONFIG&amp;source=default. User ID: UCM Admin user. Password: Password to Admin user. Click on the Authorization tab and add the appropriate values to the fields below. Make sure you see the ACCOUNT and DOCSECURITYGROUP security attributes at the end of the page. HTTP endpoint for authorization: http://&lt;ucm_hostname&gt;:&lt;port&gt;/cs/idcplg. Display URL prefix: http://&lt;ucm_hostname&gt;:&lt;port&gt;/cs. Administrator user: UCM Admin user. Administrator password. On the Document Types tab, add the documents that should be indexed by SES. As our last step, we’ll configure the Federation Trusted Entities under Global Settings. Entity Name: The user must be present in both the identity management server configured for your WebCenter application and the identity management server configured for Oracle SES. • Can't DER encode and BER decode RSA public key

  I have problems using Crypto++ to save a RSA public key (that I obtained loading a private key file in PKCS#8 format). When decoding the key, I always get a BERDecodeErr exception. Here is the code I am using: CryptoPP::RSASSA_PKCS1v15_SHA_Signer _signer; CryptoPP::RSASSA_PKCS1v15_SHA_Verifier _verifier; CryptoPP::ByteQueue bytes; //_signer.AccessPublicKey().Save(bytes); // seem to save private key instead _signer.AccessKey().DEREncodePublicKey(bytes); //_verifier.AccessKey().Load(bytes); //_verifier.AccessKey().BERDecodePublicKey(bytes, 0, 0); _verifier.AccessPublicKey().Load(bytes); I also tried with the instructions commented above, without success. How do you do to save or open the public key?   Code Retreat is an all-day training event that focuses on the fundamentals of software development. There's a "global" code retreat day coming up, and I'm looking forward to it. That said, I've been to one before and have to say there was a huge amount of chaos... which is fine. One thing that I still don't get is why the "Game of Life" is a good problem for TDD, and what good and bad TDD for it feels like.   Hello, Do I need to do something different in an abstract class to get dependency injection working with Ninject? I have a base controller with the following code: public abstract class BaseController : Controller { public IAccountRepository AccountRepository { get; set; } } My module looks like this: public class WebDependencyModule : NinjectModule { public override void Load() { Bind<IAccountRepository>().To<AccountRepository>(); } } And this is my Global.asax: protected override void OnApplicationStarted() { Kernel.Load(new WebDependencyModule()); } protected override IKernel CreateKernel() { return new StandardKernel(); } It works when I decorate the IAccountRepository property with the [Inject] attribute. • JQuery post not working when moving web-app to a win server 2003

  I have build a webapplication using ASP.NET MVC and JQuery. On my local machine this works fine,but when moving it to a Windows server 2003 the JQuery method post stops working. • 'script/console test' with spork and rspec not loading the whole environment?

  I'm trying to load up console to interact with some of my rspec mocking helpers. I expected that running script/console test would load an env similar to when I run spec. However, this doesn't appear to be the case. It looks like spec_helper is never loaded. Or, if it is, it's not actually running through the logic because spork has polluted it a bit. In short, is there a quick and easy way to get an interactive rspec party going?

• BULK INSERT with inconsitant number of columns

  I am trying to load a large amount data in SQL server from a flat file using BULK INSERT. However, my file has varying number of column, for instance the first row contains 14 and the second contains 4. That is OK, I just want to make a table with the max number of columns and load the file into it with nulls for the missing columns. I can play with it from that point. But it seems that SQL Server when reaching the end of the line and having more columns to fill for that same row in the destination table, just moves on to the next line and attempts to put the data on that line to the wrong column of the table. Is there a way to get the behavior that I am looking for? Is there a table hint that I can use the specify this? Has anyone run into this before? • Use Outlook password for website verification

  I am currently building an internal employee dashboard for our global company (it is hosted on an external website for logistical reasons) I'd like (need) to password protect the page as we will be displaying sensitive information, my question is, is it possible to integrate with Outlook passwords? We have over 350 staff all of whom use outlook on a daily basis, I'd love for the website to check whether the visitor is logged into Outlook and if they're not, prompt them to log in. Is it possible?? If it is I'll get is developed straight away.

  Hi, I am trying to figure out certain memory leak conditions in javascript on a few browsers. Currently I'm only testing FF 3.6, Opera 10.10, and Safari 4.0.3. I've started with a fairly simple test, and can confirm no memory leaks in Firefox and Safari. But Opera just takes memory and never gives it back. What gives? No luck. As you can see this is simple JS, no circular DOM links, no closures. I monitor the memory usage using 'top' on Mac 10.4.11. Memory usage spikes up on page load, as expected. In FF and Safari reloading the page does not use any further memory, and all memory is returned when the window (tab) is closed. In Opera, memory spikes on load, and seems to also spike further on each reload (but not always...). But regardless of reload, memory never goes back down below the initial load spike. I had hoped this was a no-brainer test that all browsers would pass, so I could move on to more "interesting" conditions. Am I doing something wrong here? Or is this a known Opera issue? • What is the best way for communication between cluster nodes

  I have an application written in a combination of ASP/VB6/VBScript and ASP.NET/C# that consists of a website part, SOAP-like webservice part and a queue processing part processing incoming files in a hotfolder. We are used to running under load balancers (Microsoft or other make). Often we need to communicate between the different load balanced servers. Currently we do this through the SQL Server database that is common for all nodes, however, this comes with a performance penalty as each message requires a transaction and continual polling from the other nodes. • Will news ticker using overflow:hidden cause Google to see site as spam?

  In the hope of tempting Googlebot with fresh content, I've implemented a homepage news ticker which displays the 20 most recent headlines on our site. The implementation I have chosen is a <ul> with each headline being a <li> Initially all the <li> elements have no style but Javascript kicks in on page load and gives all but one of them a display="style:none" attribute. Javascript then displays each of the other 19 headlines in a loop. So far so good. However, in order to prevent a visually unplesant page load where the 20 items display and then immediately collapse, I am using overflow:hidden on the <ul> element. Anyone got a view on what Googlebot is likely to make of this? Does the fact that I'm using overflow:hidden make the content look like spam?

• ejabberd won't look at my host_config option

  I'm new with ejabberd. What I want is to have a host myhost.domain.com which has an ldap authentication method. This all works fine if i modify the global options in AUTHENTICATION section in my ejabberd.cfg file. I am able to create two clients( defined in my LDAP directory ), and comunicate between them. Like i said, this works fine. But by aplying this authentication method globaly, it means that every hostname that i declare must use that. So i'm looking at {host_config, "myhost.domain.com" ...} But somehow i can't get ejabberd to look at that configuration, it just skips it. If i declare it like: {xhost_config, ...}, than in my ejabberd.log file i get a bad return error( so it knows that the configuration is there, but it won't look at it). Any suggestions? Thanks.
