• What is this obscure error in Google Analytics tracking code on a _trackEvent() call?

  I am calling the Google Analytics _trackEvent() function on a web page, and get back an error from the obfuscated Google code. In Firebug, it comes back "q is undefined". In Safari developer console: "TypeError: Result of expression 'q' [undefined] is not an object." As a test, I have reduced the page to only this call, and still get the error back. Besides the necessary elements and the standard Google tracking code, my page is: <script> pageTracker._trackEvent('Survey', 'Checkout - Survey', 'Rating', 3); </script> Results is that error. What's going on here?

• Where is the .cod file placed when the BlackBerry Widget is built from Eclipse?

  I am experimenting with various mobile platforms, and this is my first day with BB. I am using Web Plug in 2.0.0 with SDK 1.0.0. As I am trying to run one of the samples in the simulator (5.0.0.469, Storem 2 9550) When I run the BB widget, I got the following in the eclipse console, but I could not find the .cod file to be loaded to the simulator. Please help!! • missing event when using modules with requirejs

  I had javascript code in a single JS file that was working fine (using XHR/AJAX). When I split it up into separate modules in a requirejs application, I do not seem to get a handle on the event object & it shows up as undefined (testing in firefox 29.0.1). It's stored just the same as the return values (formatted for the db). Using Time is really no big deal but do I need to manually offset anytime I'm using DateTime and want it to be in the correct zone?

  Hi, I'm playing around with Lucene and noticed that the use of a hyphen (e.g. "semi-final") will result in two words ("semi" and "final" in the index. How is this supposed to match if the users searches for "semifinal", in one word? Edit: I'm just playing around with the StandardTokenizer class actually, maybe that is why? Am I missing a filter? Thanks! • Visual Studio add-in to quickly test a code snippet

  One thing I really love about languages such as Python is that if you have a piece of code you'd like to try out, you can just open the interactive shell and do it in seconds. Is there a Visual Studio add-in that does the same for C#? Basically what I'm looking for is something that opens up a window or tab with a text editor (preferably with code completion, because VS does it so nicely) and a button that runs the code and displays the output. Extra points for convenience features such as displaying complex output in a user-friendly way (think Firebug's console.log), automatically referencing all the assemblies the current project references, etc. I tried googling for a while, but either I fail at coming up with good keywords, or no-one has made an add-in like this. If there really is none, I'm considering making one myself.

• Visualizing an AST created with ANTLR (in a .Net environment)

  Hi there. For a pet project I started to fiddle with ANTLR. After following some tutorials I'm now trying to create the grammar for my very own language and to generate an AST. For now I'm messing around in ANTLRWorks mostly, but now that I have validated that the parse tree seems to be fine I'd like to (iteratively, because I'm still learning and still need to make some decisions regarding the final structure of the tree) create the AST. It seems that antlrworks won't visualize it (or at least not using the "Interpreter" feature, Debug's not working on any of my machines). Bottom line: Is the only way to visualize the AST the manual way, traversing/showing it or printing the tree in string representation to a console? What I'm looking for is a simple way to go from input, grammar - visual AST representation a la the "Interpreter" feature of ANTLRWorks. Any ideas?

• Making an Ajax request to a page method in ASP.NET MVC 2

  I'm trying to call a page method belonging to a MVC Controller from another site, by means of: $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: "http://localhost:54953/Home/ola", data: "", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function(data) { console.log(data.Name); } }); the method code is as follows, really simple, just to test: public ActionResult ola() { return Json(new ActionInfo() { Name = "ola" },JsonRequestBehavior.AllowGet); } I've seen this aproach being suggested here, and I actually like it a lot, should it work... When I run this, firebug gets a 200 OK, but the data received is null. I've tried a lot of different approaches, like having the data in text (wish grants me "(an empty string)" instead of just "null") or returning string in the server method... • Enabling PostgreSQL support in PHP on Mac OS X

  I'm having a terribly difficult time getting the command "pg_connect()" to work properly on my Mac. I'm currently writing a PHP script (to be executed from console) to read a PostgreSQL database and email a report. I've gone into my php.ini file and added extension=pgsql.so But, I'm met with the following error. • Svn - get the list of all repos on a server so I can svnsync

  I'm attempting to create a backup of my client's existing svn repositories, which is publicly available over http. If possible, I'd like to be able to make new repositories automatically, from any computer, without having to give console access to the server to external parties (i.e. the users could do a ls on my svn repo dir) My problem is that I need to know the list of svn repositories on the server - it isn't a fixed list, since the user will add new repositories over time. I'm able to list the repositories on an html page via Apache's mod_dav_svn module, using the SVNListParentPath On directive. I got this page: http://svn.ohwr.org/ My question is: what is the easiest way to obtain a usable list of such repositories? I'll need to parse that list in order to make syncs, probably using shell commands. Must I parse the HTML with shell commands, or is there a better way to get that list?

However the $scope.$on(...) runs before the bounds have been set so the 'west' : $scope.bounds.southWest.lng, returns an error with an undefined variable. What I want to do is to wait the bounds (southWest and northEast) to have been set and then run the Dajaxice.async.hello(...). So I need something like "wait until bounds are set".

• Ruby email_veracity_checker getting Recipient OK for invalid emails

  I was testing out email_veracity_checker from rails console and found that when I tested a google apps domain (w/ catchall), yahoo and another company domain, the smtp server always returned 250 recipient ok for invalid emails (wellformed, but bogus). It seems that these servers are always returning OK perhaps to prevent email harvesting. But it does seem to raise the question 'why even validate up-front', is this approach even valid in today's environment? Note: gmail did return 550 email account doesn't exist for invalid. related to How check if an email exist without send in Ruby? Use of email_veracity_checker send-in-ruby-use-of-email-veracity-checker I appreciate your thoughts.

• Issue Passing NSMutableDictionary to Method

  Hello all, I'm trying some basic iPhone programming -- all has been going well but recently I've hit a bit of a roadblock. I've got a chunk of code that's passing an NSMutableDictionary (amongst other things) to a method in another class: [self.shuttle makeAPICallAndReturnResultsUsingMode:@"login" module:@"login" query:credentials]; The NSMutableArray credentials is previously defined a bit above as such: NSMutableDictionary *credentials = [[NSMutableDictionary alloc] init]; [credentials setObject:username forKey:@"username"]; [credentials setObject:password forKey:@"password"]; The method that receives it looks like such: -(id)makeAPICallAndReturnResultsUsingMode:(NSString *)mode module:(NSString *)module query:(NSMutableDictionary *)query From debugging I have determined that the code works fine up until this point within the above method: [query setObject:self.sessionID forKey:@"session_id"]; At this point, the application terminates -- the Console informs me of this exception: * Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '* -[NSCFDictionary setObject:forKey:]: method sent to an uninitialized mutable dictionary object' This leads me to believe that I must initialize NSMutableDictionary in some way in my new method before I can access it, but I have no idea how. Any advice?

A serial number may be granted per-machine (or per-operating-system) or per-user (as for CAL in Windows Server: if my application is used by several users on one machine or if it is used by one user on several machines). For per-operating-system licensing, I use SerialNumber of Win32_OperatingSystem. Is it a right thing to do it or is it completely wrong? Will it work on every Windows machine? (For example, using motherboard serial is wrong)

  On www.euroworker.no/order I have set Smarty's debug mode on with {debug output=html} in the header, so it will debug every page. But it says: Smarty Debug Console included templates & config files (load time in seconds): no templates included And after a list of template variables, {$cart} Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 561962 bytes) in /home/euroworkerno/www/library/smarty/libs/plugins/modifier.debug_print_var.php on line 30 It also doesn't display a list of templates for any url.. This is strange, can anyone point me to why it won't display the lit of .tpls? I need to find some HTML comments that someone has left in to rid IE of a display bug. Thanks.

• Setting up java configurations in eclipse..Param files

  I'm going to be using ECJ for doing genetic programming and I haven't touched java in years. I'm working on setting up the eclipse environment and I'm catching a few snags. The ECJ source has several packages, and several sample programs come along with it. I ran one sample program (called tutorial1) by going to the run configurations and adding -file pathToParamsFile to the program arguments. This made it point to the params file of that tutorial and run that sample. In a new example I am testing (from the package gui) there are TWO params files. I tried pointing to just one param file and a program ran in the console, but there was supposed to be a GUI which did not load. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be greaaatly appreciated.

• Problem with Linq query and date format

  Hi All I have a C# console application written using Visual Studio 2008. My system culture is en-GB. I have a Linq query that looks like this: var myDate = "19-May-2010"; var cus = from x in _dataContext.testTable where x.CreateDate == Convert.ToDateTime(myDate) select x; The resulting SQL query generates and error because it returns the dates as "19/05/2010" which it interprets as an incorrect date. For some reason even though my system culture is set to en-GB it looks like it's trying to intrepret it as a en-US date. Any ideas how I get around this? Thanks. Alan T

• Rails: blank page - no errors or stack trace

  I've been trying to fix a bug in the Rails app I'm developing, and I keep getting a blank screen with no errors. I haven't found anything helpful in development.log, either (though it does show queries being run and such). Finally, I started to wonder if it's somehow set not to show errors anymore. I tried commenting out a necessary route, and sure enough, I got a blank page instead of the error and stack trace I expected. What might cause this? (I wondered if maybe I'm accidentally running production mode and errors aren't supposed to show then, but development.log is being appended, and if I open script/console and echo ENV['RAILS_ENV'], it says development.)

  I'm trying to use the EWS API to access an Exchange server from a console program i'm writing. I've specified the type of exchange server i'm connecting to but when I try to execute the code i have, it gives me Error 1 The type 'System.TimeZoneInfo' is defined in an assembly that is not referenced. You must add a reference to assembly 'System.Core, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'.
